Surf Club was easily a five star experience. The restaurant is absolutely beautiful with amazing architecture and such cute pink vibes that made the whole atmosphere feel elegant and fun at the same time. Came here for a business dinner and everything we ordered was incredible. We had the crudo, oysters, crab cakes, pork belly, cheesecake dessert, and the fish special I ordered for my entree was amazing. I also had to try a bite of the ribeye Wagyu and it was so good. The food, service, and ambiance were all top tier. Overall, 10 out of 10 and definitely a place worth experiencing.

Today we went to celebrate our 32nd anniversary! The food was amazing we had the Rockefeller oysters , the New York steak and mushrooms ...everything was fabulous and delicious! Service was wonderful by Adriana she was very pleasant and professional she brought us a ice cream with a happy anniversary chocolate as a complement to seal the perfect celebration!!!! Ambience upscale and chic.

Had dinner and drinks here and overall, it was a great experience. Let's start with the location--easily one of the highlights. The ambiance is incredible, and the hotel itself is stunning. The bar area is beautifully decorated--perfect for pre-dinner drinks, which I highly recommend. Service was excellent. The gentleman helping us was attentive and on point from start to finish. As for the food, everything was solid. The tableside Caesar salad is a must. We had a few pastas and a steak for dinner--everything was good. Not mind-blowing, but exactly what you'd expect from a place like this. The only area for improvement: dessert. We tried the sundae and the dark chocolate layer cake--both fell a little flat. Still, a great night overall and definitely worth a visit.

THE PLACE: Located in the four seasons hotel, valet is the only parking we found, that was 35 bucks. Inside, the hotel lobby is beautiful for pictures. The restaurant has inside and outside seating available, though the majority is inside. Inside, it is beautifully decorated, with table and booth seating, decorated with dim lighting, colorful yet subtle fabics, paintings, plants and deco mirrors. It was an odd but beautiful mix of feeling like NY/Manhattan glam vibes, but very Miami in color palette if that make sense. THE FOOD: Upon being seated, were were given water, hot fresh bread and a selection of veggies with a dill/yogurt sauce - all tasty 5/5. For drinks, I had "El Diablo" sweet but refreshing 4/5 and my husband an old fashioned 5/5. For apps, we had the Rockefeller oysters, cooked oysters with spinach and cheese (?), outstanding 1000/5. For entrees, I had "all day braised beef and forest mushroom lasagna" creamy, dense and flavorful 5/5, my husband had the main lobster thermidor, tender lobster on a bed of a lobster bisque type of sauce/soup 5/5 and ordered a side of whipped potatoes, that were good, but just ok 3/5. & of course, with restaurants such as these, portions will always be small. THE SERVICE: Great service beginning to end, our waitress was phenomenal.

Came here on a Sunday with my cousin to enjoy a late lunch. The scene was perfect for co-working or having a cup of coffee before starting the day. We had to wait about an hour after learning they serve Sunday brunch buffet until 3p for $125 & we couldn't order from the regular menu until then. We ordered a round of drinks - I had a zero proof Lemon City (not 100% on the 0 proof cause I definitely felt a little buzzed). It was interesting and tasted like they used egg whites. Ordering from the Champagne Bar menu, I ordered a chicken club and my cousin had the bolognese. The chicken club was huge and delicious - the mustard mayo was a little overpowering but everything else was on point. My cousin loved her pasta. We ordered another round of mocktails to wash it down - this time being a zero proof Espresso which was good but as you can see had way too much head (foam) on it; if they scale back on the foam, it'd be perfect. Food aside, the experience was great! All servers were attentive and the interior design is beautiful. They knew we were waiting for the regular menu and still made it a point to communicate with us as shifts were changing. We sat outside to enjoy the weather and the balcony over looks the hotel pool with an entrance to the beach. This is the type of place where you feel accomplished just by being in the space.

Birthday celebration was a success! Excellent experience from start to finish and the food was delicious! Michelin stars earned! We started with the deviled eggs and some mocktails. Following that, we had the famous Caesar salad and for the main course, we indulged in the lobster Thermidor and lamb chops. I forgot what the dessert was, but it was rolled in coconut. This place did not disappoint! Excellent service and ambiance. Enjoy!

The ambiance is amazing! We were able to walk up and sit down immediately in the lounge area, the dining room was fully reserved but the lounge area is full menu/same service. The complimentary bread and fruit was good, the fancy butter was a nice touch. I forgot to take a picture of main course but we had the Dover Sole Meunière, (serves two people) it was good but I personally didn't like the texture of this fish as it was kind of tough but this is a personal preference, the flavor was great though and my fiancé loved it! I would recommend the butter whipped potatoes, that was to die for! Our waitress was very informative and was very detailed with her responses if we had any questions. Would come back here.

Thomas Keller's Surf Club truly lives up to its reputation as a classy establishment. Calling Keller a game changer for the dining experience feels absolutely fair. The most striking proof is undoubtedly the staff - impeccably well-trained, genuinely attentive, and deeply knowledgeable about everything. Then, of course, there's the food. I'd categorize the cuisine as contemporary American with a strong, classic French backbone, which is pure Thomas Keller. Every single entree was a perfect 10/10. Maybe next time I'd skip the oysters as an appetizer, though. For mains, we went with the lobster Thermidor, the Turbot grenobloise, and their true ribeye. Across the board, each dish was astounding. The Thermidor had that classic, almost old-fashioned richness, but it was utterly delicious and impossible to resist. The Turbot? Honestly, probably the best fish I've ever eaten. The true ribeye delivered exactly what you'd hope for: beautifully marbled and cooked to absolute perfection. Wow. We couldn't resist sampling four desserts: the Peach Cobbler Ice Cream, the chocolate layer cake, the blueberry compote cheesecake, and a special Strawberry Charlotte (their take on a French Tiramisu). Every single one was executed flawlessly. I'm already looking forward to my next chance to stop in.

Great, but overpriced restaurant. The portions are pretty tiny, but the food is good. The French Onion Dip and Kettle Chips was a 10/10. The Classic Caesar Salad had way too much dressing on it, but the croutons were good. The bread is phenomenal. The Lumache Alla Vodka was a pretty small portion, but the sauce was incredible. Other than the Maple Glazed Brussels Sprouts, I was not impressed with the sides and they were extremely small. The warm cookies are the best option for dessert.

10/10 - A truly exceptional dining experience at The Surf Club Let's just get this out of the way -- the bread and butter alone is worth the reservation. Pillowy, warm, and served with the most decadent butter -- it somehow managed to steal the show, even among a lineup of standout dishes. We started with fresh, briny oysters and a perfectly balanced steak tartare, followed by a classic tableside Caesar that was as impressive in presentation as it was in flavor. The soufflé for dessert was divine -- light, cloud-like, and a perfect finish. And of course, the espresso martinis were smooth and perfectly crafted. Service was seamless, the setting is timeless, and every bite felt indulgent in the best way. If you're looking for an elevated dining experience in Miami, The Surf Club delivers on every level.

Food was great, but I must say that Cocktails got my heart. I would rather be at the bar all night long instead Like always service was excellent from the very beginning. It's an amazing place for special occasion like mine. Birthday and wedding anniversary . Ambience is cool, nice music, environment, and good energy people.

Nicholas C.

The food was spectacular Thomas Keller is one of the best for a reason. The restaurant has a cozy decor for a special occasion. Every plate is executed at the highest level, the Cesar's salad presentation is phenomenal I highly recommend it. Favorite plates were the rib eye and the lasagna. Our waiter forgot our drinks and was rushing us to get out but I wouldn't let that affect my score because I'll make sure he doesn't serve me next time around. Our anniversary was pleasant and I can't wait to go back

If you're dripping with money and don't care if you waste it, then come here. If you're not rich, however, and think this is going to be a foodie experience that is worth the splurge, let me stop you from making a huge mistake. This is one the most overrated restaurants in all of Miami. What a monumental disappointment after hearing so much hype about this place! Famous chef and Michelin star - what a joke! Calling the food mediocre would be generous. Crab cake - one tiny crab cake not even large enough to share for $32! One lousy lasagna that tasted like a reheated frozen food lasagna from the grocery store $46! One of the tiniest pieces of salmon I've ever seen a restaurant serve $54! $167 total for the worst meal I've ever had in my life and to add insult to injury $32 for valet on top of that. The place was empty and only two other tables by the time we left at peak dinner time. Four servers or bus boys literally watching us like a hawk to the point where my mom and I totally felt uncomfortable and couldn't wait to leave. I get it about providing good service, but this was overkill. Do you really need to stand there and watch me chew and listen to every word of our conversation. Some space please. So stuffy. The usual trying to get you to order more. Glad we didn't. Left hungry after flushing $200 down the drain. Go to literally any other restaurant in Miami and you'll get more value and better food. I don't have pictures of the food as I felt so uncomfortable even taking out my phone to take a pic. Only have pics of the nice areas in the Ritz, where this is located.

Ask the Community - The Surf Club Restaurant

Does the restaurant still serve beef wellington? If so, when?

Yes. For dinner

What is the difference between banyan and club room?

I believe there are four areas available to book: the bar lounge, club (main indoor dining room), Banyan (new covered outdoor space-with AC!), and the all outdoor area.

Nick and Andre kept our glasses full and tables squeaky clean throughout the entire night. What we didn't know is that they have a Super Price menu running from 4:30PM-6PM! So we were able to get our order in and take advantage of the specials. Highly recommend going early because the prices are great! We started the evening with a Caesar salad and an order of the meatballs. And the meatballs were to die for!! They were so delicious! The meat had great seasoning throughout and it was a great ratio with the sauce and ricotta. The caesar was also really good with light dressing. For entree we got the agnolotti rosso which was amazing. It was stuffed with spinach and you can tell spinach was fresh. The sauce was absolutely delicious. And the pasta was made of spinach so it enhanced the flavor. We paired off all the food with a bottle of Bonanza cab which was perfect with the food. The whole time the waiters are flying by making sure our plates are clean, and waters filled. We ended the evening with a piece of tiramisu which was perfection. Perfect balance of mascarpone and coffee. I paired that with an espresso martini which was nice and strong. Great way to enjoy the glamour without breaking the bank!

I use to highly recommend the small Venezuelan hole in the wall with great pastry and savory options. However, the service is not worth it. For example today I came by myself walked inside to ask if I could sit at the empty tables outside. The server came a few minutes after with a menu, I tried to make it easy so I said "I am just having chicken tenders and a cup of water please". She said "great so you've been here before". After 10 minutes of sitting alone I walked inside and politely asked for a cup of water. She responded "it's free I'll bring it when I'm ready". So I went back outside sat by myself and a gentlemen sat him self and ordered an espresso. The server made his espresso brought it to him while I am still sitting on the hot side walk without a cup of water. She brought the cup of water while I was getting up to leave. At this point it had been 17 minutes. I told her I was leaving and she said I have to stay for the chicken tenders. I said I would have loved to but the lack of service and disrespect made me loose my appetite. She then went on to call me "Pathetic". I didn't respond I've been in the restaurant industry for 27 years have a quite successful restaurant here in Miami Beach. I don't know the servers name she never told me. Calling a guest"/paying customer "Pathetic" is unacceptable.
