Their after the purchase customer service was terrible. My logs were defective and it took me from the end of February until April before they got the new ones to me. They never once called me to update me as to what was going to happen with the warranty. I always had to call them and rarely got anyone to answer the phone. I bought my logs from the Durham store but had to deal with Cary Home Flame for the warranty problem. read more

Service technician was very friendly and here less than 30 min but the price for that service is outrageous at $195 and it took nearly 2 months to get an appt. When I called to confirm that was really the cost, the person who answered laughed. Will never return. read more

I was in need of replacing the gas logs and fireplace door. This was the best thing I have done! The Grilling Store or now Home Flame is the BEST!!! Tim was at the desk and immediately introduced me to the most beautiful doors and gas logs they sell. I love their staff! Especially Tim!! Our 19 year old direct vent gas fireplace stopped working. We had never had it serviced. The Grilling Store is the authorized dealer for Heat-n-Glo, the brand of our fireplace insert. It was a pleasure to deal with The Grilling Store. They were very nice to set us up for a service call within a reasonable short period of time. The service tech was very nice and took the time to fully service our insert. He also took the time to educate us about what we had. These people are supposed to be providers of parts for Quadra- Fire- Unfortunately there customer service is more than bad- Spoke with Don ( a very nice person) who suggested I send pictures and info of parts I needed to Zack- I did- never heard back after 10 days or so- called back and spoke with Zack- and he said it was handed off to Chris- and he would call me back in an hour or so- Well it's been another week and still no call back or e-mail. I highly recommend doing business with this store and will support them in the future. I needed a tank of propane re-filled and these people couldn't have been more courteous. Fantastic service!! Stand by their products. I bought a (expensive) BBQ that I ended up later not liking. Chris ended up taking the BBQ back (4 months later!!) and helped us select another one that we love! My wife and I will be lifetime customers and we strongly recommend these guys to all of our friends. You can go to Home Depot if you want, but I suggest getting a quality product from great people who provide excellent service! read more
