I have been going to the Groomery for over 20yrs+!!!!! Once the original owner (ROY) sold his business, things went down hill rather quickly. At first I used a guy (Quinton) who was great! Left to groom somewhere else. Then I took on another groomer there by the name of Isabella. Used her a few times and was very happy. Things started to change every 6/8 weeks when I brought my two Mini schnauzers in to get groomed. Each time the price kept going up. From $65 to $95 dollars in a matter of months. She also stated each time that my dogs had mats, which they did not, and tried to charge me more for that! Last appt was at 10am, and my dogs were still sitting in cages at 3PM with Isabella nowhere to be found. Again, tried to charge me $95 per dog!!!! Had an appt on 5/25, Isabella cancelled on me. Made the appt for Tues. 5/26 at 10am. Still waiting for Isabella to arrive and it was 10:40. Next thing I know, the lady at the front desk calls Isabella, then proceeds to tell me that Isabella doesn't want to groom my dogs!!!! Bottom line, DON'T USE ISABELLA!!!!! NOT RELIABLE AT ALL!!!!!! Starting goint here a year ago. We have to standard poodles. There was a groomer who we loved when we 1st started to go. There was a petite young woman who doted on the dogs and her work was very personal to her. In the last 6-8 moths, the quality has gone down, cuts uneven, runs in their coat, bare spots behing their legs. Last time we went they were running 2 hours late (had the dogs for 7 hours). They had some runs like the last few times, but we looked the other way. This last time, one of our dogs, shook his head at night (something was bothering him), 6 hrs after we picked him up and there as a wet cottonball stuck in his ear. He had a rash in his inner thigh and was licking it. Over the last week, he has been shaking his head a lot more, the rash lightened. Went to the Vet. $330 later, 2 yeast infections vet said likely from the cottonballs in his ear for so long, and because of the scratching, an ear infection in the other. They have floppy ears and I neve thought of checking their ears after a cut. I wish they could have been more careful and cared for them more. I also understand they were recently sold (not sure how recent) and the older reviews do not necessarily represent current management. read more

We have been going here for years! Have had amazing service UNTIL the company was sold and the new owner is horrific! She lied to us. Jessica has always groomed our dog and I made an appt like we usually do every 6 weeks. Well, when we picked her up, they shaved my doodle in the Middle of winter! And she was not matted. I asked how could this happen since Jessica has been grooming her for years. Well, as it turns out, Jessica quit and the owner lied to us. I asked again, what are the instructions in her file, which are exact opposite of what I received. I asked for a full refund of $92 plus the $10 tip I left for Jessica. She refused. Under New Management- last time o took my animal which was the first time under new management, there was a new person (new owner?) behind the counter with a dog that seemed like their own. They had them off a leash and they were barking. They were barking and jumping at the pets coming out from behind the door to the salon. Just odd? Why have a dog off a leash at the reception area when there are so many dogs around. It was definitely aggressive. Just seemed low class and poor judgement. I'm not sure if I'd go back. read more

I have been going to the Groomery for over 20 years but the new owner (Samantha) is awful. I have a Spanish Water Dog who gets shaved down once a year. When I took him in for his appointment in January the groomer told me that they scraped his leg. They didn't say they were sorry or that it needed attention. When we got him home and inspected it, it was a gaping wound. We took him to the Emergency vet clinic and it required 4 stitches to close it up. I called the owner Samantha the next day and asked for a refund of the service and asked that she pay the $1,400 vet bill. She said it wasn't even that bad and it didn't bleed (right!). She also tried to blame it on us even though our last 4 dogs have been this breed and have gone to the Groomery with no problem. Ultimately after much argument, she paid the vet bill but did not refund for the service. I will never return and don't recommend it to others. There doesn't seem to much care or concern for animals which is their whole business. read more

We found a groomer we liked so we took our dog in and had to leave him for a number of hours. When we got our dog back he was extremely sick all night constantly vomiting. Finally in the morning he vomited up this massive hairball of golden fur...our dog is jet black so it was fur from another dog at the groomery. However, I dropped my dog off for an appointment at 9am. We arrive at 4:10 to pick him up. It's not 5:26 and he's still not finished. We are outside watching him being groomed and the groomer is fairly rough. I have no idea if he has had water today and apparently he's been in a cage all day. Customer service is non existent. I brought my cat to The Groomery to have her long fur trimmed. Springtime shedding was causing mats in her fur (she wouldn't let me work on them), and the summer heat was making her lethargic. I took my dog there for the past year and I got very mixed results. 1st of all, they do not answer the phone most of the time and do not return calls when I leave a message. That happened several times. 2nd, I brought my dog 1st thing in the morning, at 8:30 and he was not ready until 5. Our dogs went to the Groomery today for the first time. We were impressed with the customer service received by Trey and the grooming service Jessica provided. Derby, our puggle went in for a nail trim and Boss, our Yorkie poo went in for grooming. Boss had not been groomed in months. Jessica gave him a nice scissor cut. Today, September 21, 2023, we took our Westie to be groomed. We dropped him off at 8:30 a.m. and knew the policy that he could be there for a few hours. The receptionist did not communicate with us how long he might be, but said she would call when he was ready. We are not new to the Groomery and had used them for our late Westie as well as our current one, so customers at least 11 years. In the past, if we dropped off our dog by 8:30, the dog would be ready by 1 p.m. if not before. Today, we had not heard anything by 3:30 p.m. My husband called and got the voicemail and left a message. At 4 p.m. he called again and was told our dog would be ready by around 4:30. When we arrived, we told the receptionist that we were upset that this wait time was not communicated to us when we dropped off our dog in the morning. She was extremely dismissive while fooling with putting her hair up in a scrunchy. She said that our dog could have been there until 6 p.m. as that is when they close. Not once did she address our concern about the lack of communication. She pushed the bill toward us and then retrieved our dog. When our dog came out from the back, his cut was choppy and uneven. We asked for a Westie cut, but the cut was nondescript, and his nails were uneven. I told the receptionist we would never return. There were also two pitbulls in the smelly, unkempt, rundown area in the back. Their presence did give me pause, as did the condition of the yard, but the staff had always been caring with our last Westie. It is a shame that the Groomery has become so run-down and that the staff seem to not truly know what they are doing. They don't deserve any stars but must leave one to post review read more

Jessica does a great job grooming our shihchon. For summer we ask her to shave our pup, and amazingly it grows out evenly shaped. For boarding we know that our pup is cared for, and has many other dogs to play with when they're all let out into the spacious lawn. read more

When my dogs came home they were not nervous or shaking like they always are when they come home from Petsmart grooming. After a year and half this was the last straw! It's been a few times that I have dropped my pooch off between 8-9:30am and pick up is at 5pm. I didn't think of anything since I thought they were just busy and the grooming still came out just as perfect. I should have listened to my dog. He always pooped/pee himself when we would pull up and then start shaking. I thought he was just being a wimp. This last weekend was the last straw. They were down one groomer which made things even more insane/intense. The husband dropped off at 9:30am and was told about the short staff and pick up again would be later. It was 5pm and I was getting concerned so I had phoned the Groomery. It turned out that my pooch wouldn't be ready till 6:30pm. A few things ran through my mind... not sure how they choose which dogs to groom first but I had called three weeks ago for this appointment and still had to wait till 6:30pm. Poor Stitch was locked up for hours 9:30am-6:30pm! I asked if he had been walked and they said they usually don't walk the dogs. They would only walk them if the dog is barking obsessive, seemed distressed, or they can just go in their kennel...but since I was on the phone with them that he would let him out this time.. oh my.. this time?? I picked Stitch up at closing time and asked the front if he had water to drink all day and the response was "not unless requested upon, there isn't room for a bowl to fit in the kennel" Maybe I'm over reacting and all groomers don't give walks/water as well but if your pet has been in a kennel for 9 hours straight, don't you think they deserve a bathroom and water break? read more

we took our two dogs there to stay for a week. I see why there aren't any reviews on boarding. Don't board there! I wouldn't even groom there. The place is so filthy, dirty,and stinks! They also dont clean up where the dogs run and play. Poop everywhere! They didn't follow my instructions on feeding my dogs, so vomited everywhere in their kennels and probably urinated in their beds too. They were a mess! I had their food in a canvas bag and there were holes on the corners of the bag where you could see it was chewed through. I had to throw out the dog blanket and the bed as soon as I got home. Took my two short hair cats to be groomed at 7:50am didn't get them back until 2pm called them twice was told they would be done soon. It was a hour and a half later I called again and I was told that other people had priority and paid some express service which was never mentioned to me the service was rushed, my female cats claw was cut too short and bleeding, one wasn't cut they were still dirty and both my female and male her still wet. The staff there is very rude and unprofessional they lack communication skills and give false information or not all the information please don't go here save your money My cats are scared and I'm very upset at this service as a first time customer read more

If I could have rated them zero I would have I took my sweet 5 pound Pomeranian there n they've BURNED her!!! They never even told me but just handed her over to me. I didn't notice it until as I was putting her down n she screamed n growled which she NEVER does I rushed home only to discover to my horror that they had burned her under her fur n it was beyond burned n horribly hot red hot It was a nightmare n she could not move n I was super gentle w her putting her on a soft blanket. She was in excruciating pain n even so burnt that I was totally unable to put any cream on her or anything. We took pictures of the burns n we're going to take legal action immediately I was beyond upset. I only saw red n wanted to do something drastic to the wicked person that cruelly hurt my dog. That same night I drove back to their business n banged n banged on the front door. I saw someone turn the lights off do I went all around the house banging everywhere. Still no answer I went back to the front door n banged n banged again. Finally the owner came to the door n I said to him do u know that u burned my dog!!! He denied it n I showed him the burn but he just kept denying it I didn't know what to do then so I just went home n called my husband n a close friend who is a veterinarian. He was shocked when he saw how deep the burn was n suggested exactly what I needed to help reduce the pain So for weeks I had to carry her everywhere which I did not mind at all cuz she's my baby. I got physically sick each time I tried to look at the burn so my husband took more pictures again I was beside myself emotionally n my only focus was on keeping her comfortable. The rest is a blur n y we didn't report this shister n an obviously a liar n danger to all animals is beside me He never apologized didn't take any responsibility never even offered to help pay for the professional help we had to get her n actually kept the money I paid!!! This person n all who work there r not animal lovers n put them in dangerous situations n lie about n hide the horrible damage they caused. If you love ur fur babies as much as I do please do not take ur beloved dogs to this nightmare hell hole. The pup related well to her, and a wonderful result was obtained in less than 2 hours. Will set up appts every 2 months and so happy to be aligned with a respectful operation.
