Brittany is our personal doggie groomer and she is kind hearted, sweet natured, a great sense of humor and accommodating! We searched for a few years here in the auburn area for a groomer that would be kind to our dogs and do what we asked and yes, we found all that in Brittany. Our dog was perfectly fine until we picked her up after the Grooming Room. She came out of there with severe breathing issues. We spent $600.00 at the Vet! Dog lovers beware. This is not the place to take your loved one. We will never take our dog there ever again! read more

I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. Terrible customer service. Have never been spoken to so rudely in a place of business. I brought my German shepherd in there to be fully groomed. I have a brought my friends dogs here and picked them up and if these were my own dogs, I definitely wouldn't be satisfied with the work done. The last 2 times my friend needed me to bring her dogs here and pick them up for her, I have seriously started to question if she loves her puppy companions. 1st, when you arrive, you need to wear a mask before entering their facility. 1 customer at a time. I know for a fact they enforce this rule by witnessing them asking a customer to wait outside that walked in not acknowledging the sign in the window. You need to sign in. 1 cup full of pens is labeled cleaned, the other soiled. After dropping the pups off at a time slot made with them the day before, we waited for a call that they were finished. A grooming session includes a wash & dry, hair cut, and nail clippings. 3 and a half hours later, we were calling them to see if they were ready. That's 3 and a half hours in a cage. Our dogs don't ever sit in a cage, so I was worried about them. They told us on the phone it would be another 40 minutes and that they would call just before the pups were ready to be pick up. Ultimately, it took a total of 4 and a half hours for our pups to be done and with all of us being worried about catching covid, you know it can transfer to dogs, yes? Well, while 4 and a half hours was too long for dogs to be locked up in cages(I just mean, it shouldn't take 4 and a half hours), they also shouldn't be running around the shop possibly contracting the deadly virus to bring home. There were multiple dogs not in cages that roam freely. I would like to stay testing negative, thank you very much. When we got our pooches to the house, we noticed their hair is uneven. On one, the butt is shaved down to the skin and looks irritated. Practically puckering. Nails weren't even clipped. This grooming facility is in a convenient spot for my friend, but I told her she needs to find a place with more quality and people that won't be late to our appointment (from what we heard, the groomer the appt was made with was not there on time). If I help her again in the future, I won't be helping if this is where she brings them. read more

Been going for several years now, and Natasha is always fast, gentle, and does a fabulous job with my standard poodles and springer spaniel. True, it's not a fancy shop, but I prefer to not be paying for that; it's clean, you can crate your dogs or leave them to wander safely behind the closed gates, which my friendly spaniel loves to do. I also greatly appreciate how Natasha helped me when my standard slipped a disc a couple years ago and lost her mobility; she came to my house to groom her a couple times, until she was able to get around again. And with my seniors, she is gentle and patient, letting them sit or lay down as needed. I couldn't be more pleased and hope to have her as my pack's groomer for many years to come!! read more

17 years now, Brittany has lovingly groomed my 7 Shelties. I won't take them anywhere else. My first job was working for 3 years in a grooming shop in Salinas. Later competing in dog shows. Now I belong to Sheltie Rescue. I am extremely picky who handles my dogs. Couldn't be happier with anyone else. I feel that Brittany has compassion and commitment. I inherited my pup and she needed a serious grooming. We have always come here and she's had a good experience. She's a little skittish but always seems okay when we pick her up. Deena and Judy are amazing! We were turned away from Petco because our dog had a small scab on his nose. With 10 acres of weeds on our place we really needed him groomed. Worst experience ever. Brought my Australian shepherd in to get a medium length Aussie cut. Place is a mess. Waiting room full of dog hair. Customer service horrible. Signed in. Left my phone number was told I would get a call when he was done. After 4 hours I dropped in having picked up my son nearby from school and they hadn't even started on him. I was told it would take at least another hour as the groomer flipped through a magazine. Came back an hour and a half later still never getting a call back and they had buzzed my dog. Then continue to argue with me about how an Australian shepherd is supposed to be cut. Got my dog home and he drank water like he hadn't had any all day. read more

DO NOT EVER BRING YOUR DOG HERE! EVER! The place is dank and dirty, nobody smiles and they mistreat the animals. I witnessed a groomer slamming a standard poodle onto the table and was told it was because the dog tried to jump off the table. If I could rate this facility a negative zero I would. This was my first time here and the groomer, Natasha, told me my dog was an asshole. In fact, she told me all Malamutes were assholes. When I attempted to have a conversation with Natasha, I was interrupted by a woman who was a "bather." I asked her to leave since my conversation did not necessitate her input, and she refused. I've been taking my pure bred Italian Cane Corso to Grooming Room for more than 6 months now. Natasha always does a great job, everybody there is friendly and obviously loves dogs. I like this place, I've been going here for a while. I give them only four stars because they have always had a problem with time. It could be the dogs, I have a husky mix and a boxer mix. Anyway I took them in for a normal bath and a nail trim. The dogs are nice and clean, and they even gave recommendations on how to help with the dry skin on my husky. Their nails look nice and trim, and it doesn't look like they over cut to the quick(?) Then, when I came and picked them up, they were running around in the cleaning area with the other clean happy dogs, kind of how a daycare would have them. For both of my dogs, the cost was $60. read more

The Grooming Room made my dog pretty although I was very dissatisfied with the business. They were rude when I picked up my dog and also charged $10 more than what I was told how much it would cost. Horrible hair cuts and I tried three times, each time worst than the next. I'm sure they are fine for bathing a dog but are clueless with specialty cuts. Wow, I'm shocked that these girls got any bad reviews for grooming! I've been taking my Goldies to another place in Auburn for the last few years and they were so bad that my dog wouldn't walk in the door anymore. I searched out another place to take them and found the ladies at the Grooming Room. The groomer, with the blue hair, Tiffany, I think, was friendly, and listened to exactly what I wanted. All three of my dogs looked beautiful, with their summer cuts, and came out happy. The girl who answers the phone isn't very friendly, but that's not why I take my dogs there. I have a new appreciation for the Grooming Room and thought I'd share it. As I said in my first review my Bischon Bruzer had gone to The Grooming Room his entire life approximately twice a month. Bruzer will be 14 in May 2018. We have now moved away and trying to find another grooming establishment has proven very difficult, and with Bruzer being older I am super concerned that he be treated with gentle care. In short, I miss The Grooming Room and so does Bruzer. Thank you for all the years of care you gave Bruzer. He ran in happily and never had one mishap, scratch or hair out of place. Xo read more

My wife took her long haired companion in for a summer trim, he is a 1 1/2 year old, neutered male and he received a 3 gash on his under belly, anybody can make a mistake right? Well it turns out that they said nothing about it to her and it was so bad she had to take him to the Vet to get treatment. To not own up to a mistake that caused the need for professional treatment is unforgivable, The Auburn Groom Room and Brittany will not see our business again! read more

I absolutely love this place. They do an excellent job at grooming my little ragamuffins. They get the works. Bath, haircuts, nails trimmed, teeth brushed. My babies come out looking, feeling, and smelling so good. Even more importantly they treat every animal like their own. Ive listened to the girls in the back talking to the animals as they groom them, even when they didn't realize anyone was paying attention. They tell them how cute they are or how good they are. They reassure them that they are ok if they are scared. And they even let them hang out along with them at times rather than be stuffed into cages for the duration of their visit. They always manage to squeeze us in when I show up without an appointment. I was also very impressed with all the awards they have recieved that are hanging on their wall for their excellent standard of care.There are many.. I highly recommend The Grooming Room for your pets grooming needs. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. I am so very disappointed in this establishment. Truly, I would never take my pet here again, one because they never even acknowledged me when I walked in (even though I had spoken with Britney days prior to our appointment and they knew I was bringing my animal in) and two because it was really gross in there. I felt like I was in the Texas chainsaw massacre when I walked in. Really dirty and I think there was pee on the counter. I waited for a good 10 minutes and no one ever came to welcome me in or acknowledge my pet and I were even there! The worst part was that a lady (shorter with dark hair and olive skin) walked right by me and went outside to talk to what appeared to be two extremely sketchy men in the car out front (my husband was waiting for me in the car so he saw everything go down) at that point I was so fed up with the type of "service" I was getting (if you even wanna call it that!") I walked out and I was so upset. I work in customer service and if I was to ever treat anyone the way they did I would be out of a job, period. I called right after and let them know what had happened because I was so mad. I usually let things go like this unless I have a really bad experience (hence the review). Britney my original groomer called me back later that day apologizing for the experience ( I do appreciate that) she mentioned she would call me later so she could make it up to me. Never got a text or call until the next day around 7pm? Look, I get that people have lives but when you promise a new customer that you're gonna call them that day to make up for a bad experience PLEASE DO WHAT YOU SAY. I ended up grooming my own animal at that point because I never got a call back!!!! I will never ever ever ever come back, recommend or have anything to do with this place ever again!!!!! I would highly suggest anyone looking for a groomer to go elsewhere. You will be disappointed and get nothing but excuses in return. Very disappointed. read more

We brought our rescue dog here last year for a cut and a bath. They were able to get her nipping under control and get her cleaned up. We like the way she comes out that we bring her back every 4 months. She is nervous when we get here, but happy as a clam by the time we pick her up. I made an appointment a week in advance and they still kept my dog in a kennel for 5 hours before even starting on her. As an added insult, they called me to tell me she was ready but didn't realize how close I lived so when I showed up to pick her up, they were actually only then just starting!
