The Grove was good. I really enjoyed my breakfast wrap. My cappuccino was good as well. The staff were polite and helpful. I sat inside and it was not too loud, so I could see people wanting to use this as a place to do some work. Overall good experience, I'll probably be back and get a latte instead and try something from the case of baked goods.

Stopped by during a Friday around noon and was surprised to encounter High Street, an "exceptional 628,000-square-foot mixed-use development advantageously located in the heart of Desert Ridge-Arizona's largest master-planned community". The Grove was tucked in between numerous shops and restaurants in this trendy shopping center. I was surprised at how crowded the whole area was, with the young and old alike walking around and enjoying these establishments. There was curbside parking and parking lots and parking garages nearby; I snagged a spot in the parking lot, specifically parking in 3 hour visitor parking. Walking back to The Grove itself, there were some folks sitting in the outside patio basking in the temperate weather. Upon entering the cafe, I noticed the spacious seating with booths and vintage-appearing chairs (as in the styles appeared vintage, but they didn't seem old/used) - all furnishings seemed very comfortable, which I felt is unique for coffee shops. There is also ample lighting to illuminate the interior and people-watch others walking around High Street. I am always drawn to seasonal/specialty menus and opted for the "Rose Gold Latte", a vanilla latte with rose cold foam. It was a perfect sweet altogether. The rose foam itself was very subtle, and without knowing it was supposed to be rosy I wouldn't have guessed -- this could be a good or bad thing depending on preference, but I personally would've wanted a bit more rose flavor. Overall, this café is perfect for working, with free Wi-Fi, two individual bathrooms, comfortable furniture, self served water station, and access to an outlet (I'm sitting at the booth closest to the bathrooms, which has its own outlet). Would definitely come again if I want a tranquil coffee shop to work at for an extended amount of time especially with food options if I get hungry!

Cute little coffee shop. Perfect place to stop for coffee or tea while at the farmers market today on high Street. It was a little cool out so we sat inside. Not a lot of seating, but we managed to snag a couch and two chairs. The service was great and the drinks were tasty! I had an almond Chai, hubby had berry tea. Both were good and our daughter said her Carmel Apple latte was yummy! I would definitely revisit this place.

The baristas are super nice and give amazing recommendations. The service was fast, I only waited a few minutes. The atmosphere was comfortable with relaxing music that was not too loud. There are multiple different types of seating and all are comfortable chairs or couches. Great for coming by yourself or as a group. As someone who has worked remote at coffee shops, I think this would be a great place due to the calm, quite, and relaxing atmosphere. I ordered a plain cappuccino with oatmilk and it was delicious. The coffee had a strong and rich taste that was addictive. I 100% recommend. The price was also affordable compared to other local coffee shops in the area. I spent about $5 for my drink. I definitely recommend checking out the Grove Artisan Cafe and Bakery. Also this coffee shop does have a speakeasy open in the evening, I did not check it out, but with the location and the amazing service, I will be back to try it.

We recently tried this cafe - very friendly service. I tried the sweet latte that I was told is very popular - it was way too sweet for my taste so next visit I plan to get cappucino so I can actually taste the coffee. Pumpkin chocolate chip cake was very good - flavorful but not overwhelming with sweetness. It's a very nice & clean space with great patio. Definitely worth a try!

The service is good and quick. Ordered an ice coffee with cream. The coffee quality was good and had some mocha notes. The coffee didn't taste watered down, which can sometimes happen. The waiting area is large with lots of seating to be able to chat, work or just relax. There are a few bakery and lunch items but not a lot of options.

I was surprised how big the interior was with plenty of seating. The banana bread was good. I got a matcha drink that was just ok, next time I'll get coffee. Service was very friendly. It didn't feel very busy and actually felt a little too quiet/empty for me. I like a bustling coffee shop atmosphere. Apparently they have new owners maybe they are just warming up.

Such a cute little area! Barista was nice and helped me decided on a lavender matcha latte which was delicious!! Next time I'd love to try the pistachio. Had WiFi so I was also able to do some work and enjoy the various seating options.

Beautiful new coffee shop that also has pastries and a few sandwich options. Friendliest staff!! However, got a iced decaf Americano that was very watered down and had a very bitter aftertaste to the coffee. Hopefully, as they are open longer, they can perfect the process.

Paid $8 for a black cold brew, but steep pricing aside, it was the worst tasting cup of coffee I have had in a long time

We came into the coffee shop at 10:30 am. The blueberry muffin and banana bread were flavorless as well as dry/stale. I would not recommend.

In our day's Sunnyslope business, our niece took us to Kris Frybread. Arriving we saw Dawn's. She said Dawn's gets high ratings too. After our excellent Kris meal I made my way to Dawn's. I am infamous in the family for my dessert rxtravagance. But I share with all at our table. Take your choice! Our niece got cannoli, I got lidded shortbread custard cups, vanilla and almond. Sweet D got a cherry and an apple turnover delivered into the box. It is five days later. My sugar intake has dropped a lot. In our home baking we cut sugar ingredients by half. Older Hopi bakers put in enough sugar for a hint of sweet in their cookies. Modern bakers glaze them. I'll take those traditional ones. When I say the shortbread cup with custard was too sweet for me, that's my 21st century palate speaking. The almond cup was a buy-again item for me, still sweet, very almond. The cherry turnover was flaky, the filling tart, oozing fillng and cherries. The gold medal, blue ribbon "I'd buy this again, for sure is the apple turnover. We will return for some more flaky, apple-y goodness. The webpage makes mymouth water. I see many items are normal and mini sized. Great idea Dawn.

We've worked our way through what feels like almost the entire dessert case over the years, and I can honestly say I've yet to find something I didn't love. Every pastry is beautifully crafted, incredibly fresh, and tastes like it was made with so much care. This visit was all about the cannoli, and let me just say... craving officially satisfied! The shell had that perfect crisp snap, while the filling was silky, rich, and just the right amount of sweet. It was everything I had been dreaming about and then some. Walking into The Sicilian Baker always feels like stepping into a little slice of Italy. Between the gorgeous display of desserts and the irresistible aroma of fresh pastries, it's nearly impossible to leave with just one treat (don't say I didn't warn you! ). Whether you're stopping in for a post-dinner dessert, celebrating something special, or simply giving in to a sweet tooth like I did, this place is absolutely worth the visit. Have a meal at The Sicilian Butcher and then follow that up with dessert at The Sicilian Baker. There are several locations in town, with this one being in North Phoenix. On my most recent visit, I stopped by on a Thursday. Parking tends to be busy in their complimentary lot, but you'll find a spot. Ambiance (4/5): The Sicilian Baker is connected to The Sicilian Butcher. It's a small bakery, with only a few seats. More of a grab-and-go type of spot or the source of your dessert if you're dining at the restaurant. While small, the decor and ambiance is nice. Service (3/5): A little bit of bad luck, but on my most recent visit, they were having trouble with their refrigeration so no gelato was available. While interacting with the staff, it was an average experience. I will say that the service was much better in the restaurant. Drinks (N/A): I only got dessert, but they do have coffee and a few other beverages available. Food (4/5): The Sicilian Baker is known for its cannolis, tiramisu, gelato, and lobster claws (dessert, not real lobster haha). On my most recent visit, I had a cannoli. They have your classic cannoli but also a nice variety of other fillings including pistachio, Reese's, and more. A+ for creativity, though I decided to stick with the classic. Solid. In fact, all of the desserts I've had here over the years have been quite good.
