Absolutely loved this coffee shop! From the moment I walked in, it smelled incredible. They had some kind of incense or diffuser going, and it created such a warm, inviting atmosphere. I ordered the medium hot vanilla chai latte with almond milk. The coffee itself was amazing...perfectly made and full of flavor. You can really tell they care about quality here. And the baristas?! So kind and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. One of my favorite parts was the outdoor patio. It's super cute, colorful, and just a really nice place to sit and relax for a while. Great vibes, great people, and great coffee. I'll definitely be back!
No matter what beverage I have tried at this coffee house it has been fire The matcha - fabulous The espresso - incredible The cold - amazing The customer service is always so good as well. They are good at giving you recommendations and are always spot on when you let them know what your looking for in a drink. This time I tried their tonic with espresso called "après ski" . It was the perfect amount of sweet and very flavorful. I love that I can always taste the coffee when I get a specialty beverage here. My husband got the "richie rich" and he thought it was perfectly smooth and creamy and he doesn't even normally like cold brew. Thank you so much Tamosan!
We came here on a Sunday early afternoon. This coffee lounge is located in a strip mall with plenty of parking available. They have quite a few indoor tables and the lounge was just over half full. Tamosan has their menus clearly posted behind the counter and then another menu on the counter. There were a few baked goods available behind the counter, I am guessing they have more early in the morning. Tamosan have unique combinations for coffee drinks- blueberry pie syrup and cherry almond syrup. I chose the Cookie Butter Latte which had espresso, biscoff cookie butter and milk. I don't enjoy sweet coffee and this was quite mild and tasty, not too sweet at all. I do like sweet cookies and they had some individually wrapped ones. The cheesecake stuffed cookie was really good! Overall this is a fun place to try some different coffee and tea drinks.
This place was kinda creepy actually. Super slow service and scary "art" on the walls of painted snakes. It felt dirty in here for some reason. Also, they don't have non- fat or skim milk? My little mocha in a Dixie cup was $6.35? It was ok with almond milk. Trying way too hard to be San Francisco hipster. Pass.

A good amount of seating indoors so it was perfect for studying. The music was cool too. A seasonal menu always gives me another reason to come back.
I stopped here with friends on Saturday morning before our 2 hour voyage up north. It was around 8am and it wasn't busy. We were quickly greeted as we walked in and all the employees were in a happy mood - we felt so welcomed. I ordered an iced cookie butter latte with half and half. I only waited a few minutes and my drink was ready. The latte was reallllly good. It was not too strong, not bitter, and just the right amount of sweetness. The inside was clean and it's nicely decorated - I love the happy yellow color they have going on. They had two cute dogs just hanging out that I wanted to pet soooo badly hehe but I think they too were on the clock. :D Overall, it's a great spot! I will be back when in the area!
Another day, another coffee shop adventure and I think I've found a new favorite! I was genuinely shocked (in the best way) to discover that all of the pastries here are gluten-free. I've never had gluten-free carrot cake before, so of course I had to grab some for both me and my mom. Finding good GF pastries is usually such a challenge, so this place felt like a lucky find. I also tried the cookie butter latte with oat milk, it was smooth, perfectly balanced, and not too sweet. The vibe here is super warm and welcoming, with both indoor and outdoor seating. The staff are friendly, and there's even a calm little dog lounging near the couches -- I literally mistook him for a fluffy white rug lol. I'm excited to come back to try more on the menu, and share this gem with others!
Tamosan Coffee was a good find! The interior is spacious with a good amount of seating and all of the staff were very friendly. I got an iced matcha latte with almond milk and added cold foam. It was okay. The matcha flavor was very faint but I've definitely had worse. My friend got one of the specialty/seasonal lattes and loved it! I also got one of the carrot cakes since it was gluten free (I am gluten free) and it was better than I expected. I would come back and give Tamosan another try but I would probably just not get the matcha again.
Immediate five stars for having ALL gluten free pastries... this morning was coffee cake, carrot cake, muffins, and pop tarts. I had to go with the coffee cake but it was so hard to choose. They warmed it up for me and it was so moist and fluffy and had nice cinnamon crumbles on top. Heaven. I got a decaf bloobies with oat milk. It's yummy! Would actually like more coffee flavor in it, it's pretty heavy on the blueberry milk flavor but it's not necessarily a bad thing. It's a very pretty drink when you first get it then turns into a gray color when mixed lol but it's still good. I got here at 9:30am on a Saturday and it soon got pretty busy fast, kind of a lull at 11:30. There's a DJ here which is a little odd, never seen that before in a coffee shop, and the music is quite loud for working or reading but it's vibey.
Great coffee shop!! Many GF pastries! I'm a huge matcha lover and I really liked their unique strawberry coconut matcha! Delicious! Baristas are very nice! This is a great spot to study, read, catch up with friends!! Must stop by!
Very helpful & attentive staff. I really enjoyed my coco smash drink,refreshing, tasty and unique. Like local art & comfy seats.
The service was excellent! And this seasonal Aframe latte was delicious. The little crème brûlée marshmallow was the little treat I didn't know I needed but glad it came!

Came in to try Tamosan Coffee after seeing all the vibrant photos on Yelp, specifically for the Cherry Bomb. Unfortunately, the experience didn't line up with what's shown online. Even though we were sitting in, our drink was served in a disposable to-go cup while the tables around us all had proper glass cups. To top it off, the Cherry Bomb was missing the actual cherry on top that makes the drink signature in the pictures. It ended up feeling pretty underwhelming, and honestly felt a bit like out-of-towners aren't given the same level of service or presentation as regular locals. The coffee itself wasn't bad, but the overall experience was less than expected. read more

At one point this was Mavericks, then Mythical and now Tamosan. They have really grown into a great place to stop before or after church at SBC and grab a drip coffee which is excellent and a yummy avocado toast, egg over medium. Service is friendly, sometimes the line can be long and other times like this Sunday morning there is no line at all. They have lots of seating for a quick bite or to stay and study. read more
My cherry bomb matcha latte with almond milk was DELISH!!!!! About $8 for my drink which I feel like is average pricing for a latte these days. If I'm paying this price for an actually delicious matcha latte I'd 10000% want it to be from here! read more
I was in the area craving a coffee when I found this cute cafe. They have a large menu selection with seasonal drinks as well (which I am sucker for seasonal drinks). I ordered a banana matcha with vegan cold foam. Not many places offer dairy free cold foams so I was pumped to be able to find a place with the option! The barista was very knowledgeable about the menu and even gave me some recommendations. He even pointed out the vegan pastry options they have (which is also very hard to come by!) so of course I had to try it. Both the matcha and the pastry were super great and I definitely will be coming back to try some more of their menu items! read more
This was a nice place! Stopped in on a Saturday to check it out and ended up getting a pumpkin cream cheese muffin. Very good and the cashier was very nice! I'd like to update and give more information when I go again because it was a very short visit. They also had a DJ playing some great music on Saturday. Not sure if that's an every weekend type of thing but it wasn't annoying rave music. Very chill. I'm a fan! read more

Cute coffee shop! It's such a vibe in there. Super spacious with lots of seating. We came on a busy Saturday morning so we did have to wait a bit for our drinks but we really enjoyed them! I ordered the stache with matcha but I think I would've liked it even more with espresso. Can't wait to come back and try their other drinks! read more
I had previously visited this cafe a few years ago when it was under different management. I came back to check this place out and was pleasantly surprised! It is tucked away in a shopping center off North Scottsdale road. You could easily miss it. I also kept forgetting the name since it has an unusual name! When you walk in, they have a fridge with some sparkling water and other choices that were new and interesting to me. I went to the coffee bar and ordered a cappuccino. I found a seat and waited for my drink. The cafe is cozy and quaint and would be a good place to go back to to get some work done. The cappuccino was great! read more
We came here on a Sunday and it was pretty busy. Such a cute place with little tables inside and out. I ordered the pumpkin matcha and my daughter got the stache. We were told that the pumpkin would take about an extra 10 min which was fine and we waited. Finally they let us know that they could make something else since the pumpkin was taking to long so I got the cherry bomb matcha. It was so good. They refunded us the money even though they didn't need to. I will definitely be back to try the pumpkin. read more

I've been seeing people advertising this spot to have good matcha. I tried the Strawberry Matcha and it wasn't my favorite. It was very milky and lacked matcha flavor, the strawberry was a sweet syrup. The store is cute and had a good amount of seating. The Tamosan, formally Maverick Coffee seems largely the same featuring high-quality 3rd wave coffee using beans roasted from Maverick. The breakfast burrito remains an excellent option and is made to order. If you have any dietary restrictions, like bacon, let them know while ordering. Limited food offerings but high quality. The breakfast burrito and the A.B.B. Toast which is sliced sourdough bread with banana and honey are recommended. Coffee drinks come in one size only. Parking is plentiful in front and I'm glad to see the old Maverick lives on as the nearly identical Tamosan. Friendly and professional staff. Note prices are higher than typical and there are no prices on the menus (see photos). This is a coffee shop, not an art gallery so prices should be shown next to the food and drinks. 4 stars. read more

Was in Scottsdale for a wedding this weekend and we were looking for a quick bite to eat and some caffeine. So happy to have discovered Tamosan! Parking is not an issue the lot is huge and the cafe itself has plenty of seating. I got the strawberry matcha and my bf and I shared the breakfast burrito which was delicious and the perfect in-between meals snack. Service was very quick and friendly. Will gladly stop in next time I'm in the area! Excellent staff, food, and drinks. read more

First time visiting this spot -- my partner and I got drinks (cookie butter latte & spicy chai), a lemonade to share, and breakfast burritos. Everything was disappointing for a bill just shy of $50. The coffee and chai were ok. The 'lemonade' was literally a glass or water with some lemon squeezed in it (we watched) and the breakfast burritos were FRESH, BUT FLAVORLESS. A tortilla with eggs, tomato, onion and iceberg lettuce with a side of salsa that packed a heat but no taste. Very disappointing. read more

A great hidden gem!! This cute coffee shop "ticks off all the boxes"!!! Great coffee and drinks, yummy food, very friendly welcoming staff and super comfy seating!!! Whether you are meeting friends, getting some work done or getting a crochet lesson (which I did!!), this is the place to be!! Do they have a website to view the menu? I see some of the menus in the photos but they are not current? Do they still have cinnamon rolls? I don't see it on the Yelp "full menu" but not sure if that is an updated version.
