Red Canyon Cafe in Old Town Scottsdale was a great find. The cappuccino was excellent, and the crepes absolutely wowed us--especially the goat cheese one. They're larger than they look in photos, perfectly balanced in flavor and not too greasy. You can tell they're made properly on the oversized hot crepe griddles, and it shows in the texture. Despite being in a tourist-heavy area, the café itself feels tucked away and surprisingly quiet inside. There's also outdoor seating if you prefer. The indoor tables have games on hand--like dominoes and Connect Four--which adds a relaxed, welcoming touch. (I won at dominoes!) Service was genuinely hospitable, and the whole experience felt thoughtful and unpretentious. Definitely a spot we took note of and will be back to. read more

We swung by Red Canyon Cafe in Old Town Scottsdale for our usual late-afternoon caffeine craving. It is tucked in a spot around the corner next to a couple of gift shops off of Main Street. I like that it has a modern feel to it, but still keeps that Old town Scottsdale Old West vibe with the wood planks and timber pillars. They have coffee drinks and gelato here. They also have a small food menu. We grabbed both gelato and lattes and enjoyed a mini relaxing time on their patio before heading to our next destination. I stopped in for a savory crepe and Quinn was lovely! I modified a #3 , added an egg to mushroom goat cheese. It was good but average and very pricey for quality and flavor $25ish. I paid for egg to be added but barely tasted any egg in my crepe. Portion was okay but barely any goat cheese either. Overall flavor was muted. Sorry, I really wanted to love this. I wasn't able to connect to WiFi. When my food arrived I was directed to the condiment tray when I asked for salt and pepper. There was only one pair of shakers there for all to share. So cute! Stopped in for brunch with our grad before ASU's convocation today. The shop is small, but clean and comfortable (and right now, there are the cheeriest holiday decorations everywhere). Just adorable. I'd seen online that they had a Thanksgiving special (turkey, cranberry, stuffing, and cream cheese) panini. I asked about it and they didn't have the stuff out to make it, but the owner went into their pantry, found everything she needed, and made it for me anyway. And it was so good! The rest of my crew got crepes; everyone said they were great. Coffees were OUTSTANDING. Strong, rich, smooth. Since we were feeling vacation vibes, brunch was followed up with gelato and the most shatteringly perfect croissant I've had outside of Paris (France, not Texas). This is a cute little cafe tucked in the corner of Scottsdale old town. They have holiday themed drinks! The inside of the shop is a little small, but there is seating inside and outside. I ordered the iced caramel macchiato which was $5.95 without tax or any substituted milk. I ordered it with oat milk so it was over $7 for the coffee, which is pretty expensive in my opinion, but... it's also Scottsdale so makes sense. The coffee itself was good, no complaints there. My friend ordered the "Mrs. Claus" coffee which is a white mocha that came with whipped cream and peppermint sprinkles which was cute. However, the baristas forgot to make her drink so it took like 10 minutes to get both of our drinks. We sat outside and had a great time talking. I like the location of this coffee shop because it is in the corner of some shops, so it feels semi-private but you can still sit next to the neighboring restaurant. I also like the this cafe has stickers for their coffee and they offer "stoppers" for when you don't want your drink to spill. I like that they are made out of wood instead of plastic as well, along with their drink trays. I can tell that they care about the environment which is always a plus. Overall, I think this is a good coffee shop to catch up with a friend (but not a large group), and I could come back again. read more

Very tasty and satisfying. Actually some of the best coffee we've had in a while! The plain bagel was delicious, perfectly toasted. The eggs are farm fresh and bacon with the cheese was excellent. We had a Nutella strawberry crepe, croissant, bagel and some drinks. The lemonades were overly sour, to the point they weren't drinkable. We found Red Canyon while walking around Old Town and are so glad we did! It's a little tucked away but an absolute gem! Our first time trying it but we will definitely be back. The inside is small but they have a good sized menu for coffee, food, and gelato! The staff is extremely nice and very helpful. Since it was our first time in we had some questions about the menu and they answered them all for us. We tried a couple of their seasonal Fall drinks, including their Pumpkin Pie Chai. Highly recommend! It was absolutely delicious. Can't wait to come back and try more of the menu! It's definitely worth the find and is a nice, quiet break to hustle of Old Town. This is a cute, low-key cafe. Since it's a little hidden off the main street of shops, it's a little on the quieter side and was easy to find a spot to sit after ordering on a Sunday at lunch time. You order at the counter and they will bring out your food. My Aunt and I both order the turkey pesto panini and it came with a bag of chips. The panini was nicely made, the staff was nice, bathroom clean and it wasn't a nice place to catch up with my Aunt. Top Marks is a great little find in Old Town and worth the effort to find them. They are located on the north side of the street, in the pedestrian cul de sac in front of Nonna Urban Eatery. The owner is very friendly. We stopped by for a cup of gelato and enjoyed it greatly. The gelato was rich with the right amount of sweetness. The Cookies N' Cream didn't skimp on the cookie chunks.
