I ordered online and picked up a pepperoni pizza. Flavor was good but the pizza wasn't hot at all. Quick service.

Love this place! It's Friday night - this is a smaller, more intimate place with a limited - aka - mostly pizza based menu and crazy good beer !! Enjoyed some fantastic IPAs and good pizzas - to be honest I seem to remember their pizza being way better but this was still good! But their taps were fantastic and their beer fridge is full of beer wonderment with many rare and hard to find beers! Great service, good music - what better way to start a weekend !!

Easy spot to meet for happy hour. I've been here several times and it's never too crowded but always a good mix of patrons. Clean, pub-like, with a small outdoor area. I had a pizza once and it was just what I needed with a cold beer. I'll be back, definitely a place to keep in the mix.

We went to this bar on the Friday of Easter weekend, around 6-7pm, and it was super quiet. The whole place was empty, except for the bartender and BOH guy. We mentioned we were just going to snack on one of their appetizers and read for a bit, so the bartender decided it would be fun/helpful to switch up the music to some instrumental anime music instead of a sport channel for background ambience. Super chill place, good vibes, and delicious appetizer. Lots of fun brews on tap to choose from, as well, with most of them being from Texas. Also walking distance to Armadillo Boulders, for any climbers looking to go somewhere after the gym closes. Looking forward to going back!

We love hanging out at this place! Joey, the owner, is so friendly and goes out of his way to make sure his customers are happy and having a good time. You definitely have to come open minded to try beer that you've never had before! They definitely have some interesting selections. (Interesting in a good way!!) If you come hungry, be sure to try one of their pizzas. They come out so fast, fresh and so delicious! We tried the White out and the Spicy Meat Sweats (we added jalapeños) both were 10/10 delicious! Today is their 7 year anniversary and it was so nice to see how many people support this awesome place.

Came in for Martin House night and was very please with the overall experience! Plenty of great beer choice and the service was the best part. James and Becky made it a great experience and will definitely be coming back!

This was one of my favorite stops during our beer adventures in San Antonio. They offer 38 different beers on tap and have a decent menu that mainly includes pizza. My husband and I shared the Garfield Pizza which was pretty good! I enjoyed it. I drank two of the Juicemeister IPAs. They were delicious. My other half was a little more adventurous and tried a couple different pours. The bartender, Lindsey, was very friendly.

Had late night munchies and wanted pizza, but something I hadn't had before. Ordered the pepperoni and margherita pizzas, each 10-inch. They were ordered on Door Dash and by the time the driver got here they were cold. Nonetheless, they were both good and just the right size to sate my munchies. I especially liked the margherita, the sauce and tomatoes were so sweet and flavorful. The crust tasted like a fluffy tortilla, I usually don't eat edges, but I liked the crust so I ate all of it. Next time I will dine indoors so I can try the pizza when it is hot out of the oven.

Cute little beer bar! Tons of taps considering the size of this place! Wish they offered samples, but nope. I love that you can see how full the keg is for each beer on the screen, as well as what sizes are available (such as growler fills or not). They have food and a shelf full of games if you get bored. My husband and I stopped in between some errands and it was lovely. Will definitely be back!

This is a perfect spot for enjoying some beers and food. It's a small place with a few TVs and chill vibes. The person who helped us was nice and attentive. The beer menu is huge, I had a hard time deciding since they don't do tasters or flights. Ultimately I tried a couple of Texas IPAs. For food, we tried to breadsticks (just okay) and a few pizzas (not easy being green, spicy meat sweats, and the Texas Twinkie. They were all really good.

Excellent selection of beers. Something for everyone from IPAs (can't stand them) to barrel aged beers (love them) all on tap. Nicely covered on Untapped. Pizza is reasonably priced and tasty. I was annoyed that my sausage kept falling off, but that's a miles annoyance. Service was excellent. Give it a try!

The pizza and my glass have a hole in them.

The tap list is top shelf. The staff knows their beers and makes helpful recommendations. The food is good, too.

Becky was awesome! It was my first time at Growler Exchange and it won't be my last. Great beer, craft pizza, and atmosphere. Already looking forward to my next visit.

It's a small place....I wouldn't say no, but I probably wouldn't bring multiple kids. If that makes any sense.

Parking along the street is free (along the fence line of Sam Houston) and was not an issue even for a holiday. There is a paid parking lot that is secure and available too so note that if ever you have an issue finding a good spot. Walking into Slow Ride is like walking into your tio's (uncle) or a grandpa's cool, 70's/80;s vibey, and home-y bar. This is the kind of spot where every picture you take of yourself, or your friends, will look like you took it in the 80's! This is not a bad thing either. Seriously. It IS A VIBE here! Cushy seats at the bar was my favorite spot to hang out while we had some cold beers and a shot to go alongside it too. They have beer and shot combos here around $8. You get plenty of choices on beer and liquor of choice. I opted for a tallboy Lonestar and a small shot of the Mexican Candy. My sister got a Live Oak Hefe in a can (she likes Blue Moon so this was the closest thing to it and she liked it!) and later a Shiner in a bottle. I also decided to close out with a daiquiri that was super delicious and offered in nice glassware. Patio out in the back is spacious and a great spot to hang out with a group of friends. The back space is taken care of and has a modern look to it out there. I can see it being a nice vibe outside on a pretty day too. Jukebox is legit! All great music selections from all genres on CDs and pretty cheap too to play 5-8 songs. The artwork around here is worth a look around too. I love all the unique Garfield toys surrounding the bar area too. All of the back bar is so great with the wooden shelving and lighting too. You can see many honorable nods to those who currently or have served. It's a great thing to see especially so close to Sam Houston. One thing I have a pet peeve on is any service bar who has to keep my card on file. I am the worst person who won't remember so I have to be extra careful when bars keep my card. I usually walk and don't mind paying the 20+% tab walk fee but I do want my card back so I have to get everyone who is with me to remind me to go get it. That's why I am giving it 4 stars. I am looking forward to coming back in the future and bringing some more family and friends, though. This spot is so nostalgic and their social is super active and will promote DJs and sets happening that week and into the weekend. Go check them out and play some pool. You're gonna feel like you are in a Matthew McConaughey movie when you do. Tell me I am wrong!!!
