The selection of guns is poor compared to turners. I feel like this place has gone down hill over the years and is barely staying in business. They shut there gun range down way to early, they close the lanes 1hr + before closing time which doesn't make sense. Just seems like they have a cocky 20 year old running the place that doesn't have a clue on how to run a business or treat customers. I actually caught him trying to hit on my girlfriend one day when I was like 10 ft away. Can't say I recommend this place but sadly there's not much of a choice out here. Honestly I would take my money elsewhere. These gun shops like to do a lot of price gouging in this valley. The older folks that work there seem to be pretty respectful but I can't say that for the younger workers. read more

I can honestly say this business discriminates against minorities. I initially went to The Gun Shop to do some price matching. While I was there I decided to support the local small business. Big mistake.. While waiting at the counter for my safety certificate, a rep made a racist joke in regard to my ID photo. Something along the lines of being able to attend the cook out with my ID. Strike one.. Moments later another rep refused service to a young black man. I believe the rep said it was due to his the way he smelled. Strike two. Right after the young man walked out the store. I was told I could not do my background, because I had a Texas drivers license. Note I also had a valid California Real ID. California Real ID, but was refused service. I was instructed by the rep, that if I wanted to follow through with a background check I would need to obtain a California drivers license. This did not sit right with me, the following day I called Turners outdoorsman. I asked them about my driver's license being a problem. I think we both know the answer . I then called The Gun Shop, spoke with Shawn. I used my professional voice (Caucasian voice) and asked the same question. Was having a Texas ID a problem when doing a background check. Shawn explained all I needed was a real California ID. Strike three. It's clear to me that this business only accommodates Caucasians. Needless to say I took my business to Turners Outdoorsman. I have been going to this shop for many years, from the cashiers to the sales reps I've felt nothing but welcomed....I have recommended the to people while standing inside other gun stores, they have fair prices, knowledgeable staff and great conversation....although some of the "old men" may seem grumpy its far from the truth....they just have a different sense of humor....overall I'll keep them in my top 3 favorites and will continue recommending them to anyone willing to listen.....oh yea fellas they don't even let your significant other know how many times you have been there. read more
