The shop does not take credit cards or the cash app. I was not informed of this prior to my style, so I had to leave again and go to the bank to get money. Also, they ask you to pay prior to beginning your hair... ummm...never heard of this; pay for service before service is performed? I did asked questions before my appointment. Sofia started my hair, but had to leave so two other ladies completed; I did not like this, I booked the appointment with the person's work that I liked based on the photos on IG, not her associates. Also did not appreciate my head being pulled in two different directions. Was not happy with my style, braids went in three different directions because three different people worked on my hair... This shop is not for professionals, because they do not respect your time. The stylists speak in French, unfortunately they don't realize that there are some black professionals like myself that speak french and understood some of the very unprofessional remarks that were made.

I felt my original stylist, Rachel, genuinely cared about my experience and worked with me every appointment to achieve what I was going for. You can't work miracles with hair, everyone's hair is different, but when I brought in a celebrity photo/reference she did the best anyone could to mimic the color/style. Sadly, she left without forwarding any contact information, so I tried a new stylist Emily. And she does pretty much exactly what Rachel had done for me. I've been to dozens of hair stylists in my life, and I've never felt so pleased with any of them til I've gone to this place. The pricing is fair for the most part, and the salon is always clean. They offer beverages while you wait and everyone is very friendly. I've seen children, men and women of all ages get their hair serviced there. I'm happy to have been recommended it!

When I left, I looked like a man in my 70's recovering from an illness. Not only was the cut at least 2" shorter than I wanted, it seriously looks like a man's haircut. She gently pushes me to try new colors and styles (even super-short bangs, which ended up looking amazing). She knows how to work with someone's unique skin tone and face shape. I don't think I'd trust anyone else with my hair! I've never had an appointment with Teri herself, but I can tell that she is a great listener and a truly talented hairstylist. I have also had Wendy and Rachel give me Shellac manicures, and they do fantastic jobs. I selected a nail color, and thought that was my only option. Rachel suggested a glitter ombre accent nail, and I couldn't be happier with the way it looks. I am actually one of those people who doesn't feel comfortable in places that are really cliquey, and Cory's never feels that way. The staff (regardless of whether they are the person taking care of you or not) is always friendly and accommodating. I guess I sort of get the comments about the one receptionist, but I wonder if that could just be because the rest of the staff is so friendly that her gruff nature really stands out in contrast. I brought my 4 year old daughter in to get her nails done, and the whole staff was so sweet to her, ooohing and aaahing over her nails, and the dress we had just bought for Christmas.
