I wanted to go back to my natural color. I showed pictures of it when it was natural as well as having my roots already grown out and naturally light brown. She (Cindy) dyed my hair dark brown. She was so busy with other clients that she left me with dark black dye running down my forehead. We rinsed it out and it was GREEN and way darker than I specially asked for. I was very polite and told her it's darker than my natural color She then got another employee who took me to the back and argued with me for 20 minutes that the color did match my natural color and that it's what I asked for. The lady also lied to this employee saying I asked for this dark color. We went back and forth with them saying it was a match to my natural color until i started crying because they ganged up on me and my hair was GREEN. She told me my pictures of my natural hair were filtered and that "I had highlights in the picture" even though I clarified the picture was from when I grew my hair out for 2 years without dying it or even cutting it. Then they said they needed to dye it "a little" darker to fix the green. I didn't want green hair so I let them. Then my hair was way darker than just a "little". It was a dark brown. They kept arguing with me very rudely that I asked for it, that it was my natural color. I said a million times I wanted it my natural light brown color. They wouldn't admit they were wrong. Even though I made an appointment days in advance, she didn't have time for me to cut my hair and put me off on another employee. They said I could come back within a week if I still didn't like it. I paid and tipped them both and left. I came back today to try to see if they could make it right. I asked to talk to the manager bill in private, he refused. He made us have the conversation in front of the lady who did my hair and the whole salon. He argued with us too and was beyond rude and unprofessional. saying that it matched my picture. He said again, that the pictures I showed were NOT my natural color, that they were filtered and my hair was highlighted. It wasn't. They could see my natural color when I came in from my rooHe was trying not to give me a refund even though the only way to fix my hair now is to pay out of pocket and have it bleached and damaged. He yelled at me saying "will you let me talk now?". He said they could fix my hair with highlights but that wouldn't make it my natural color. He kept saying my hair matches the pictures and that this dark brown is my natural color and what I asked for. They only wanted to give me a 50% refund even though my hair is going to be completely damaged undoing their mistake. Eventually he threw his arms up and walked away from me and told the front desk girl to give me a full refund, but he was obviously extremely angry about it even though we were polite and only wanted them to fix THEIR mistake. read more

I took my fiancé here for her hair to be cut and styled, my treat. I've never seen such a worst job done to a woman's hair! Please beware that these hair stylists have absolutely NO CLUE what they're doing!! Joana, Jenna, I'm not sure what her name exactly was but she BUTCHERED my fiancé's hair! She has long, beautiful, curly silky hair. After the cut, my fiancé didn't realize how bad the cut was since her hair is natural curly when wet/dry. The blow drying process was HORRIBLE! She got the round brush stuck in her hair many times!!! Yanking and pulling to get it out, by the end her hair looked like a frizzy mess and my fiancé told her she didn't like it. Felt like a half ass job just to get her out the chair if you ask me. The hairstylist added some curls to combat the horrible job she did and out the chair my fiancé was unhappy but still going to pay. (Didn't see how bad the cut was yet since it was curled) The sweetheart my fiancé is, still gave her a $10 tip for her effort and kindness. Fast forward, when we got home, she straightened out her hair flat and that's when I seen how HORRIBLE the cut was! It looked like she put her hair in a blender and let it chop away. I never seen my fiancé's hair look so bad! The people gave her a hard time for a refund. They were extremely rude people with snotty attitudes and raised their voice at her. They need to understand it's not my fiancé's fault she received bad service. I will never ever take my fiancé here to have her hair done EVER AGAIN! We will be going right back to Signature Salon where they know how to cut hair beautifully! 99% of the customers that go here are elderly women with extremely short hair! I had a consultation, and brought pictures to further explain what I wanted; balayage with a blonde that would compliment my natural auburn hair. I showed pictures the day of. Apparently none of this was enough, because I got a hideous color, stripy highlights on top with chunks of blonde underneath, and a choppy cut. I had NEVER dyed my hair previously, and this was why I was too afraid. She said to me "You look better than the pictures" and I think it was because she knew it looked nothing like them. I was obviously shocked but gave it a chance. What are you supposed to do after it's already been done? I knew I didn't want her "fixing" it and I had already been there for almost 4 hours. I was so embarrassed by my hair that I went home and cried. I had to spend $240 at another salon to fix the mess I was left with. Only positive in this situation is that I got some money back, and at least it was acknowledged by a manager that what I got was not what I asked for. The stylist I went to to correct my hair was so confused about why this stylist thought chunky highlights looked like balayage. Never returning, and will let friends and family know about my terrible experience so that they don't have to go through a disaster too. PS- I respect the schooling and experience it takes to work in a salon, but you are not a doctor, nor have the right to make judgmental comments. I told you during my consultation that I had thinning hair because of medical problems. During my actual appointment, I was offended by the comment "that's why your hair is thinning" when I said how often I wash my hair. First of all, my hair was healthy when I sat down in your chair, and to speak about something I cannot control is ignorant. I came in yesterday with brassy, yellow bleached hair from an impulse decision at home. I am naturally brown and completely ruined my hair. I went in and Jayna took care of me. She did not judge me for attempting to bleach my hair at home. She gave me a drop root to bring back my natural color and fixed the brassiness I had in my hair. She tones it to a beautiful honey blonde/ash color that I adore. I have never thought I would see the day I'd SUCCESSFULLY be blonde. She is an amazing colorist and took care of me from start to finish. If you're looking for a laid back stylist who cares about you without judgement go here :) Highly recommend. I would highly recommend this place. I have been there four times so far and have been helped by two stylist Jayna and Karen. I am not one to make appointments as my work schedule is hectic so I call ahead to make sure one of them is there. I also tend to let my hair go and do very little to keep up with it. Each time I leave my hair has been revived from a hot mess to looking 100% professional. They can work magic with color and split ends. Not only have my family and I been going here for many years, but many of my friends do as well. It is the only place I trust to do my hair and it shows because my hair always looks amazing. Every time I get my hair done I get complimented on it and asked by multiple people where I go to get my hair done. I couldn't count on one hand how many times I've given this place out as a recommendation because of the amount of times I'm always asked. From touch ups, full dyeing, and updos I've always loved my hair. I don't have to be specific when I have ideas of my hair. I just show them one or two pictures, sometimes none, and they know exactly what to do every time and it comes out better than what I imagined. I've never came to this place and been treated with bad customer service. They always are so kind and makes it a fun time to get my hair done. Karen is absolutely amazing! I read some reviews about this place and decided I need a cut since I'm pregnant and my hairs growing super fast and I've been feeling heavier than ever. When I called to schedule the appointment the receptionist was super nice and an appointment was available for me the day after which was convenient. She scheduled me with Karen and she was super sweet and super talented. I absolutely loved my hair cut and left feeling a little more confident and definitely lighter with just the three inches of hair she chopped off! Cindy also did an amazing job on my eyebrows. Let me start by saying that both me and my mom went to this salon for years and had no issues. Long story short, we both eventually wound up finding someone new to cut our hair for different reasons, but I always kept this place in the back of my mind as a solid business that knew what they were doing...that is until yesterday. I guess they changed managers or owners or something since the last time I had been in there. I recommended the hair hut to my girlfriend,who made an appointment nearly a week in advance to have her hair colored back to its natural color and cut. You can read her in depth review of what happened below, but for a place that I always knew as being one of the best salons in the nearby area, I was absolutely stunned at the level of disrespect and unprofessionalism that the entire staff had, from the stylist herself to the manager of the salon, from start to finish. How can you deny that someone's hair color is not their natural color? I think what gets me most is the fact that the manager refused to speak with her in private like any good business would do, and instead publicly argued in the main lobby in front of customers that she was wrong about her own natural hair color and his employees were right. So much for the customer is always right...Abandoning, arguing with, and humiliating a client is the worst form of bad business I have ever seen. I have been with my girlfriend for two years and could plainly see clear as day that the color did not come close to matching her natural one. For an establishment that prides itself on beautifying clients, it should take some time on beautifying its staff more than anything. As her boyfriend, a business management major, and working for years in customer service, I felt the need to add to her review and expose this salon's staff for the appalling mess that it is.
