When I cut my hair at Cody, the owner cut it so it was pretty - but when it grew out, it was horrendous. The owner here layered my hair and this is the first time I really was in love with the way a person layered my hair. She cut it so when my hair grows out, it's not awkward. So feminine and soft - and quick. First, I had planned to donate my hair, but it was my first time doing it so I wasn't sure how it worked and requested a quote on yelp. According to Yelp, they usually respond around 24-48 hours later I believe, but I never got a response so that should've been my first clue. I could've called but if they're going to offer online quotes, they should deliver. Second, I informed the hairdresser I was planning to donate my hair when I arrived and I told him I wanted a shoulder length bob. He moved the rubber band lower and cut above it, which I thought was my shoulders like I requested. It wasn't until after they washed my hair did I realize the length of my hair was now above my chest. I know hairdressers need to leave excess hair as a baseline before a cut, but he left too much and that could've been donated too. Especially since all he did was make more blunt cuts and thinned out the edges slightly. He could've skipped the additional blunt cuts by just cutting off how much I requested and then thinned out my hair. Third, my hair looked fine when he cut and styled it, but after I washed it myself 2 days later, I realized the hair on my left side was longer than my right. Unless I tucked the hair on my left side behind my ear and wore a dark colored top, it's very noticeable. The ends aren't even either on my left side, there are some short and long strands. It looks like I tried to cut my own hair at home with Edna Mode as my reference. I considered going back to have them fix it but I didn't want to risk having them cut off even more so I'm just going to let it grow some more and get it cut again later. Or maybe I can salvage it myself once my it grows a bit longer. The only reason I didn't give this place 1 star was because the young woman who washed my hair was great. She was very gentle and meticulous.

So, Kristy curled the front 2 quadrants of my head and the other stylist curled the back 2 quadrants...the other stylist used too much water sprayed when putting curls in my hair when Kristy barely used any extra water for putting curling rods in my hair for processing them. End result...my front half of head has tighter curls, whereas the back half has looser curls...the difference is subtle, but it just bothers me a lot that I will loose these curls at different speeds as time goes on. They were nice and friendly to me during my service and told me to return if I have any problems with my hair, so I give them points for service, and I'm sure they would've taken care of it if I complained. I just don't have the time to sacrifice another 3 hours of hair salon time that I shouldn't really have needed in the first place. My hair is almost fried after this visit so i can't risk further chemical damage done. Not sure what went wrong....the processing time was too long perhaps? I'd rather just go to other hair salons in the area that are well-known for great outcomes.
