If only they were closer to my house! I love this place. We have tried two other places for my son to get a haircut and this place is the best. There are toys for him to play with while we ait for our appointment, he was able to sit in a train car seat for his haircut and he was even able to pick out his favorite Elmo DVD to watch during the cut. Our stylist (one of the managers) was awesome, very patient and very kind but also very quick which is important when you're cutting a toddler's hair. His hair looks great for the holidays - much much better than the crappy Great Clips cut we got him last time. Two notes: First, make an appointment. While we were there I saw three different families turned away because they'd thought they could get a walk-in appointment. This place gets booked fast on a Saturday so call ahead and make an appointment. Second, it looks like they do something cute for first haircuts, a certificate, photo and lock of hair all put together. Very adorable so if you're looking for a special thing for that milestone, go to Hairy Elephant. Pricing is moderate--we paid about $17 for a cut which is probably more than most people want to pay but I swear it will work out so much better than Great Clips. read more

I had been taking my 20 month old son every couple of months to get a trim(He has long hair and I like to keep it away from his eyes). On my last appointment I called and told them I was running a bit late because he had overslept during his nap. The recepcionist told me I needed to reschedule because they didnt want the 2:30 appt waiting...mine was at 2. I told her it took 5 mins to cut his hair and that she could talk to the stylist and call me back. The stylist called back but I dont know why she didnt seem like she wanted to help me and at this point I had already turned around to go back home. For the price they charge ($20 + tip) they should at least try to work with customers and not send them straight to rescheduling specially when I was already on my way with my 1 yr old. The only reason I gave them 2 stars is because the stylist does know what shes doing but I am not going to pay 20$ for terrible customer service and inflexible staff. My 2 year son has been getting his haircut here for the past year. Janessa is his stylist and she always listens to what I ask for and makes notes about any changes. Most importantly she is SO quick (which is important when you're dealing with wiggly children) and his hair always looks great. It's worth the price, considering the one time I took him to great clips when my husband went and the cut was atrocious and the stylist there took about 30 minutes. I want make that mistake again, I'll continue to pay the extra few dollars anytime for this place! read more

We tried to take our daughter for her first haircut. The women at the desk was very rude and even though we arrived before closing they turned us away because we did not have an appointment. Looked cute but they just lots of good customers with bad customer service. Apparently the owners and employees don't understand the point of trying to satisfy customers and build goodwill to run a business. read more

Overall, I really love this place because my son loves it! He looks forward to going so he can play with the fun train table and other toys. The issue is that every haircut (4 now) has been by a different person and with completely different results, from perfect to terrible. This most recent cut is unfortunately the worst, and the poor kid looks like someone ran over his head with a lawnmower near the ears. I think the key is to find a stylist you like and only go to them, because there is not consistency amongst the stylists. Everyone is friendly and nice, the place is as clean as can be, and the overall experience is great...just wish they were more consistent! read more

We loved this place. My two-year-old has a lot of trouble sitting still and being "messed" with and Devon was incredibly patient and did a great job. He got to play with toys and watch an Elmo DVD while she worked her magic. As a plus -- his hair also looks wonderful, which I didn't really expect given his tendency to squirm! We took our 3 yr old daughter for her first hair cut today. Molly was amazing!! The salon was cute and they had plenty of stuff to keep our girl occupied while she got her hair cut. She normally throws a fit when we brush her hair but she didn't shed a tear for Molly. We were also able to donate her hair to Locks of Love!!! I was surprised a kids salon offered that service but they were great. We even got a discount for donating!! I had seen several bad reviews for this location and almost didn't go but I am so glad we did!! It was clean, the stylist was great and we got right in even though we showed up earlier than our scheduled appointment. Most importantly, our daughter loved the experience and her hair is adorable!!! read more

AWESOME!!! This place is so amazing to take your children! I dreaded haircuts because my son threw fits and heard about this place so I decided to give it a try. All of the employees were very nice and patient . We had a girl come over and blow bubbles for my son while they were cutting. Prices are a little more than the average walk in place but over all it was well worth every penny! My son was happy and talks about it! I would recommend this place to every family for haircuts! GREAT haircut too (especially since he was moving)!!!!! read more

As far as the atmosphere, it is a kids paradise! Tons of toys and my son even got a decent haircut. The problem I had, was it was our first time there and had heard great things, so we were expecting the same. We made an appointment, arrived, they walked us back, let my son pick which chair he'd like to have, put a movie in and started cutting. When she was done (about 4 minutes later), we paid our $18.50 plus tip and that was it! However the little girl next to us got to mix her own shampoo, get her hair washed, cut, styled, and even got some things to put in her hair. Guess what she paid? $18.50. I was pretty upset, and we were totally jipped! read more

This was the fourth time for my grandson who isn't even two yet. The girl who was cutting his hair was new (don't remember her name) We were there Wednesday 3/5 at 2 p.m. I'll admit that my grandson did not sit still and gave us problems. The girl was slow, seemed afraid to cut hair, and then used trimmers on bad on neck. She cut him once which I was not aware of and then cut him again which he screamed and cried. She asked for assistance twice from another girl there (Rebecca) and then after I had to hold him because of the trimmer she called Rebecca over to finish him off. This girl should not be doing little kids if she doesn't know what to do. The hair was barely cut unless Rebecca came over and finished cutting his hair. I was very displeased with the first girl. Rebecca did a very good job. She knew what she was doing and she was fast. read more

Wow this is such a waste of money. My cousin, who is 1, came with my aunt and I to get his second haircut here. I had warned her against this place, my friend used to work here and couldn't stand her coworkers and the business itself, but she insisted upon coming here. What a mistake. First off, this place is so gross. I don't know when or if they clean it. I realize there's kids running around, but still the gas station I work at is cleaner. Second, the hair stylist didn't know what she was doing and actually cut my cousin's ear. He wasn't squirming or anything, she was moving quickly and carelessly. My aunt had his hair fixed a couple weeks later because the cut was badly done. Last thing, that really appalled us since this is a children's hair salon was how skanky the girls working here are. They were sitting around loudly talking about getting "schwasted" (slang for really, really drunk for those who don't know) and talking about partying at the Wash Ave and hoping that they aren't too drunk to walk back to the hotel. I understand talking about personal lives when customers aren't around, but come on there's people here and no one wants to hear about the party life. The stylist was friendly, but the receptionists were not. Go to a real salon. read more
