The only good thing about this place is it's convenient location, right on Waxpool road. Ambiance, taste, food quality, price, customer service are absolutely rubbish. I was rushed in deciding my meat choice, the salad was not fresh and the meat was overcooked and greasy. I went for dinner and there was hardly any customer. This is my new favorite Halal spot!! OMG!! I even have a favorite dish, the combo entree with double gyro and chicken with extra white sauce! Yummy!! Let's talk about how there's always enough for later in the portions! When I tell you I love this place I do and it's a hop, skip and a jump away from me too!! My kids are picky eaters and all of them love it. The food is fresh, the establishment is nice, clean and open and the service is great! They smile and greet you as you walk in the door. I have been here a few times now. The first two times the food was perfect and delicious. I always get the beef platter. This last time I did not have a good experience. Yesterday i went and bought 3 chicken platters, it was honestly horrible, I am so disappointed, the chicken was black & Very dry, it did not look satisfying at all. it was my worst visit !! I have been to all of the locations in the dmv & none of them have been this bad. I told her MYSELF to let the manager know that the chicken wasn't good, he didn't care ! He told her to serve it just like that.. She apologized & looked very upset! I am so furious & disgusted at this manager. Honestly this location was awesome in the beggining but now im with everyone else thats saying the food quality is horrible & so is the service! First time trying this restaurant and it was amazing! The staff was really friendly and happy to be there! One of the staff members said their official opening date was suppose to be later, but due to popular demand decided to open early. The food was amazing. This place is about to go downhill. Couple college students standing around and chatting instead of working and freshly cooking meat. Got two combo platters and both had burnt crispy chicken and oily beef. The owner needs to come to his location and make sure the meat being cooked and not just sitting there and getting burned. It is one of my favorite stops for food while visiting Northern Virginia. The taste of the food is to die for and also the service there by the staff Rosa and the manager of the location Marco was amazing. He gave us free drinks and the portion of the food was enough to eat one bowl for two meals. Also they have an special offer right now till the end of this week if you watch Avengers: Endgame and take your ticket with you to the location you can get free fries or drink. read more

My mother and I had a wonderful experience with the Manager Badi who made sure the food was fresh and wonderful. Dont be thrown off by poor reviews, there was a manager that used to rarely show up and the shop was at a low point, now that Badi is present everyday I 100% recommend checking this place out! Food is great and so is portion size for a reasonable price. Badi is very humble gracious , He's aware of the waste in our society and the number of people with empty stomachs, so all food that wasn't finished in a day goes straight to charity/homeless! Starbucks is right next door and Badi even told me about his plan to get Starbucks in on the leftover giveaway as well! This place is legit. I tried the NYC cart multiple times and the Merrifield one so I think I can honestly say I was satisfied. Granted one of the reasons why the NYC location was so great was because of the experience... Maybe it was also because it was after enjoying a few drinks with friends, but the meat here is great and not dry like the other reviewers were saying. I would say I wish they packed the rice alittle more though. The rice was flavorful along with the tomatoes and lettuce. The place had AC in it so don't worry about that. Overall, I'm giving it 4 stars again because I wish they packed a little more rice into it and wish they had a better drinks selection. read more

Every thing about this place pissed me off. I walked in and got completely ignored by the employees, no greeting or anything. Not even a smile. One of them was standing in the way of the front buttoning up his shirt, but that didn't bother too much though. It seemed he was getting ready to clock in or something but he could have at least done it out of sight from the front of the restaurant. It was very unclear where to approach to order and the menu was very minimal. I was in the mood for a gyro and I looked at the menu and only saw beef or chicken as an option. Are gyros not usually made with lamb? Very poor menu selection. As I walked up to ask if they had lamb the employee behind the counter avoided eye contact and completely ignored my presence like a child would. At that point I was fed up with the lack of hospitality and quality and I left. I didn't want to waste my money there and promote that establishment. Never going back again. read more

Customer service went downhill at this location. This used to be my go to place for lunch. Lately every time I visit,I'm disappointed. If I'm paying $9+ for a meal I would at least like to get a normal portion size of my protein. Not kids size!! The new two ladies that work there now are literally the stingiest human beings. You really gonna give me a barely full spoon of meat ,and then take some of it off the bowl back because you felt like you gave me too much, and when I said something about how small the portion was, she talked back and suggested I should pay for extra meat. I'm sorry but after today I'm never coming back to this location. It used to be so good!!, and serve generous size, or at least what I'm paying for. But now it's literally kids size. Very friendly upon arrival and gentleman behind counter asked if it was our first visit immediately. They have a very simple menu but explained it all before we ordered. We did a takeout order and got 2 combo platters - generous portions for a family of 4. Food was hot and delicious! Loved their white sauce and hot sauce packets had their brand and logo on them too. first thing that hits you is the blaring loud distorted music from a speaker overhead , then two gyro spits sitting there empty of meat, no lamb on the menu, the `gyro` was severely over salted pieces of beef not gyro meat, and on a flat top grill a giant heap of meat sitting there for hours waiting for you! then just orderings of two items was mass confusion , me having to repeat over and over my order and i am all most afraid the try the chicken platter after this `gyro` disaster and after reading Roberts b review. this place is unfortunately only a taco bell fast food place. they need to shut off that distorted loud music, load at least one rotisserie with proper lamb and beef gyro meat and proper yogurt marinaded pieces of chicken not grilled on a flat top. but flame cooked and make your own bread,with all these other kabob places doing this i dont see this place doing a good business, read more
