I have been a patient of Dr. Hall's for many years and I rarely had any problems with communication with Dr. Hall or her staff; however, over the past week and a half, I have not been able to get a response from anyone and they are no longer answering their phones. I called for a prescription refill over a week ago and I received an email stating they received my VM and my order would be filled the following week!! Typically, prescriptions are filled and shipped out either that day or the next day and I still have not received them. I am not sure what is going on and why no one is answering the phone. I am going to have to find another provider soon if I do not receive a response as I am running out of my prescription very quickly. I have been a loyal patient for years and I am very surprised at the lack of professionalism and disregard for my health. read more

Something has gone wrong at this office, highly unprofessional I have been a patient/customer of Dr. Hall's for many years. Currently I cannot get anyone on the phone, they do not answer at reception or the store and the mailbox is full, leaving patients zero communication with staff. I have been trying to get prescription refills for two months and finally received email stating Dr. Hall had released them and still no one will send refills to my pharmacy. I have been out and will run out of other prescriptions. Someone from outside her office called and said she was on it and would resolve the issue and send prescription refills to pharmacy and nothing has happened and now cannot reach that person either. I am at a loss, it is frustrating especially when you've been a patient so long and have your set items you take regularly. What is happening at the Hall Center??? They are completely non responsive! I have been calling 3-4 times a day for 8 days to get my prescriptions filled. They want us to fill our prescriptions at their store but no one answers the phone and no one returns phone calls. I have been without estradiol and testosterone for over a week. After a week of calling I finally got someone on the clinic phone (not the store) who said he would research the problem and call me back. I have not heard back. I have been going to Dr. Hall for years now, she is the doctor to my entire family and she has taken very great care of all us! She was always caring, and attentive, to the details of our health! The bad reviews on here sound personal to me. In fact, some of them have copied and pasted the same review on multiple accounts. I will flag them to report them. This is unfair. This is a time where we should be supporting women and not trying to squash them. I think the world of Dr. Hall, she has expertise beyond the normal doctor and she prescribes hormones based on a blood test, not medication, as the negative reviews (sounds like a smear campaign to me.) She may also suggest some supplements. Not medication. Overall, before I went to see her, I had no energy and felt fearful. When she checked my blood, she saw I was low on the confident building hormone, so I started on super small doses and I felt so much better. Again, it was a bio-identical hormone, not a medicine. Reading this will save you a few thousand dollars and allow you to avoid an awful practice. In case you don't want to read it all, the key points: - The Hall Center runs a scam and works with a partner lab that will rip you off. - Prudence Hall could not care less about her patients, she will ghost you and even her own staff are embarrassed by her conduct. My wife and I went to the Hall Center for our first appointment about six months ago, prior to going they requested a myriad of blood work done with their preferred/partner lab, Primex Labs. We went in gave our card/payment info and then got our labs done. We waited over one and a half hours past our appointment time (I believe the first meeting was $600) before Prudence Hall finally met with my wife. They informed us that the lab had not done the correct tests and we were actually do a refund. Hall prescribed a few supplements and sent us on our way, we were to get new blood work done in a few months and have our second appointment. My wife saw little to no improvement by the time we had our second appointment coming up, nevertheless, it was still only a few months so we went in again to Primex to get our second round of labs done and explained they had not done the tests properly last time. They looked through their records and determined that they had indeed messed up our labs but had actually forgot to charge us last time and we owed them money. They said a statement would come in the mail. Anyway we went to our second appointment, Hall just prescribed more of the same supplements and sent us on our way. A few weeks later we got a bill from Primex for $2029 (our labs had cost $250), they said that since they did not take payment the day of (they had forgot) they now had to charge the nearly x10 amount. Since they were referred to us by Hall I asked their office to make it right and sort it out. They were beyond useless. I finally came to a settlement myself with Primex no thanks at all to the Hall Center. Additionally, Prudence Hall could not care less about her patients. My wife had some complications concerning the supplements and Hall never got back to us, finally her own secretary sent her an email asking her to please stop ignoring her patients and of course she ignored that email too. She is a horrible practitioner, thousands of dollars buys you a ghosting by your doctor at the Hall Center. If you are planning on going to Hall, there are plenty of gynecologists in LA who not only are good at what they do but also care for their patients. Especially at ~$600 per session. PS: Just common business sense, a client who comes in every 3 months and pays $600 is worth $120000 ((600x4)/0.02) to the valuation of a practice. Being lazy just cost you a 120k client. read more

I am not sure that Dr. Hall is the expert she claims to be- I developed uterine cancer AND breast cancer (at the same time) while under her care. The hormone therapy always seemed like a guessing game with ever increasing amounts of estrogen with no progesterone. I now know that there are other ways and methods to treat hormone imbalances. A couple years back, my regular OBGYN told me that I had a small cyst on my cervix. He said to take a let's wait and see approach... and to check up on it at my next appointment. While at Dr. Hall's office, with a follow up appt for mg supplements, I mentioned it to her and that I was worried about waiting and she said she'd take a look. She did an exam, said the cyst was super small and she could easily remove it right then and there. She performed the procedure and I assumed she sent it to the lab to make sure it wasn't cancerous. Fast forward a few months, I went back to my OBGYN and told him I had the cyst removed. He immediately asked if I got the results and I said no... and assumed it was because everything was ok. He contacted Dr. Hall's office for the results and my records and kept getting the run around. Turns out, Dr. Hall NEVER EVEN SENT THR SAMPLE FOR TESTING! Just threw it out. There wasn't even any notes in my chart... as if it never even happened!We'll never know if I was cancerous or not and I'm considering filing a complaint with the California Medical Board. When I decided to go to the hall center I was defiantly a skeptic. I had felt tired, and emotionally drained for years. I had my blood work done. And went to the appointment not expecting much. After meeting with a nurse who talked about my thyroid I was brought into a beautiful office with a woman (dr.hall )who has a glow and energy about her that makes you feel everything is going to be okay. We talked about my blood test which were things a "regular doctor" would never had looked for or discussed. I left with a binder of my life and what to take, when and how. Within 2 weeks of hormones my skin looked better I feel FABULOUS , I have energy, and feel like I did in my 20!!!!!!! I want to make sure and write a review about the service I'm receiving RIGHT NOW at Dr. Prudence Hall's Clinic. I have read through all the reviews below and feel the need to say that NONE of the negative issues I'm reading about are currently happening in Dr. Hall's office. The staff not only answer the phone, they're helpful and are willing to listen. They are LEARNING and many of them are young students, but that is testament to Dr. Hall's outreach and desire to teach others what she knows. The refill program (Wellevate) is rather flawless and you can get automatic refills of certain supplements delivered to your door in a timely manner. Dr. Hall SUGGESTS that, if you have insurance to cover labs, blood panel draws, biopsies and imaging, you utilize that cost efficient method. She does NOT require patients to use her office for these services. Dr. Hall DOES NOT over-medicate. In my experience, it's the opposite. She is so incredibly careful. I am on a turtle-slow introduction to hormone replacement and we're only changing dosages - if that were to be necessary - after a 3 month trial of the current dosage. Dr. Hall is the ONLY doctor who has listened to my REAL complaints with energy, fatigue and changes in my body without seeing me as a number. She does not attempt to TELL me what I'm feeling. In our first meeting, she ASKED how I'd been feeling and, having previously examined my bloodwork and levels, she nodded understandingly as I basically spelled out what she surely already knew. I had my first visit with the Hall Health Longevity Center yesterday. I met with Dr. Perrin. We went over my blood work and test results and it was enlightening. Contrary to what other had said, the Hall Center did not try to "upsell" any of their services or products. Please note the Hall Center is not your typical cold, clinical doctor's office. It is very comfortable, "spa-like" and inviting. While I find this type of atmosphere reassuring and safe, others may find it "new age-y". I got a referral to Dr. Hall from a woman named Cassandra ( I guess she really was the prophet of doom). I just enrolled in Obamacare so i thought i should get checked out since i haven't been tested for anything in years. I called for an appointment to be told that they don't accept insurance and that I would have to pay $1100 in cash just for a consultation. It is the first doctor i have known that charges one thousand dollars an hour before even being treated! I can't even imagine how much I would be in for to do her program. So much for her Hippocratic oath. I find it OUTRAGEOUS how much she charges without accepting insurance. Maybe she just wants to get rich (or richer) without dealing with the hoi polloi? I don't dispute that she is good at what she does (other yelpers do) but she is disgustingly greedy. Why not go into investment banking since money is your motive? I saw Stephanie Snowden for several aesthetic treatments and was very pleased by the results. When I learned she is a registered Nurse Practitioner I knew I was in the hands of a professional. I will be contacting the Phil McGraw show about this business. After his wife makes a big deal out of the center and how interested they are in helping those who are at their wits end with menopause side effects, there is no response. Like the person in the last review, I am from the bay area and have to make a special trip to come to the Center. It looks like Dr. Liebowitz is full of himself now that he has notoriety. It goes back to the same old thing where Drs. don't care about the patient, it's all about the mega bucks. I unexpectedly found that I had to go out of the country for a month and I called today and asked Jennifer (person who answered the phone) if she could get my lab requisition for a blood test today (the same day) so I could get my blood test tomorrow a.m. This was not a routine requisition, I wanted additional items added. Jennifer came through for me and the requisition was emailed to me in time for me to get the blood test tomorrow. Now I will be able to have the results for my appointment with Dr. Hall when I return from overseas. This is a great example of the wonderful service I have received at this Center by the highly competent and caring Dr. Hall and her staff and especially Jennifer. Man did I try to use this clinic but they make it very, very hard. When I was in the room with Dr Hall, 3 or 4 times, she is very knowledgeable and has a good bed side manner as well. But the CLINIC IS A NIGHTMARE. I've never seen such negligence. They lost my blood, then said it spoiled...hours before my appointment after reporting it was just "not back yet" (but fine) for THREE WEEKS, my having waited that long to get in, while I as very ill. AND Good luck with the pharmacy! Right now - as I type I have called every day for 10 days and not once did anyone answer the phone and I was able to leave 3 messages and NO ONE HAS CALLED BACK. I have now been forced to find another Doctor to be able to get her to refill my prescriptions. But I never foresaw not being able to contact ANYONE for this long so Ive run out of estrogen. If anyone has tried to balance ones hormones in menopause it is NOT good to have to go off of them over night. When I first started there - Jasmine did an ultrasound of my thyroid and told me I had to get a biopsy on a cyst she found to rule out cancer (she did NOT break this news to me in the best manner) and at the biopsy the specialist said I had no cyst. (The specialist said it was Dr Hall's equipment or the technician). I was relieved I had no cyst but....?? Last fall, when I was ill, I called every hour for 4 days, to inquire about my blood work and NO ONE ANSWERED THE PHONE AT THE FRONT DESK or returned the one of the 3 messages i was able to leave as the voice mail box was full. In all my adult years in going to Doctors, including dermatologist, dentist, chiro, specialists, back surgeon....how many offices is that in 30 yrs? 30? 50? I have NEVER seen an office that does not answer the phone or return calls...ever. I would not be writing this review if this was an isolated incident. It is now the end of january and STILL no one has answered the phone. I was desperately trying to still get one prescription filled by them that Dr Hall had me on - as it takes time to find a new doctor, get in to get one blood drawn, then that Doc has to agree with the previous prescriptions and then they have to be compounded. Well, that prescription now also ran out. I called probably 30 times. I wrote Dr Hall a letter, I emailed and I faxed. The fax worked. Jennifer called me. She's very nice and she again said they are having trouble with the phones. (???). She said she would relay my refill to their pharmacy. They are all fairly sweet once you can reach someone but just no (decent) office manager, if they even have one. They have a 72 hours cancellation period (pretty crazy) and they cancelled on me hours before my appointment and offered me only a discount to sit down with the Dr. with NO blood work, so Im curious what we would have discussed - and no refund for the blood draw that they screwed up. I called the lab and they said if the blood draw is done incorrectly, which they said it was, they call the Dr that day to inform them. I had called and emailed for 2 weeks after the draw and when I finally reached Gail by email she said she checked on my blood work and "it wasn't back yet" after 1 week and after 2 weeks again but now I wonder did she check? The lab says that is impossible. George, Dr Hall's right hand, used to help but he left. The staff changes every time I've been there actually. The pharmacy apologized the time before last for not getting back to me, saying, "we are understaffed". The next time I was there, 4 wks later, that woman was no longer there. Dr Hall has a HUGE beautiful office in the highest rent area in all of LA w/ a large staff. Her overhead is massive & she is the only real earner there. I get her struggles to hire good, but cheap, staff to run all of this but we pay a BIG $ to see her & can't use insurance. Again, she is very good but swim at your own risk. IF/When things go wrong, there will be no one to complain to and you will be offered nothing, if you could even reach someone. I wrote all of this in a letter to Dr Hall as I thought she should know what is happening out side of her room, and never heard back from her. I gave them 2 stars and not 1 as Dr Hall is good, but Good Luck getting to see her with any correct lab results and then good luck getting the prescriptions she writes for you. I'd also like to point out if anyone at this office if they read this and care - My western Gyno who went to school with Dr Hall and has a bigger practice 1 mile away HAS A WORK CELL PHONE. She texts me the day my results come back. If I have a ? i can text her. HOW THE F do u not offer a way for patients to reach even the pharmacy for WEEKS on end?? I've never met a doctor as passionate about what she does as Dr. Prudence Hall. She truly loves healing people and is very good at what she does. She treats the root of the problem instead of just putting a bandaid on it. I always feel very well taken care of when I'm there. Also, her center is absolutely beautiful and very relaxing, which especially helps bring my anxiety down before a blood test. I highly recommend! read more

I've been going to Dr. Hall for nearly 15 years - long before she opened Hall Center Venice. She is hands down the best doctor I've ever had and I consider her my doctor for the whole body & mind. My health has been amazing since going to her and I couldn't be happier with the overall results. She is also a very thoughtful and compassionate being and spends ample amount of time with me every time I'm there - unheard of in the medical world. They are still having problems with staff perhaps?? Very difficult to get someone to help or follow through with requests. Been going here for years and know all about the recent phone problems but really??? Getting prescriptions refilled without numerous follow up and phone calls is almost impossible. My wife and her best friend were treated by Prudence Hall for months. Two beautiful, young and vibrant women in their early 40s. After spending thousands of dollars on hormone treatments they both complained with serious mental and physical issues. She then doubled their doses. When the issues got worse, and one of them called saying she was having suicidal thoughts Dr Hall never even returned her call. A complete violation of the Hippocratic oath. Please please please avoid her. She nearly ruined our lives and it's taken a team of doctors and months to get my wife back. read more

This is a functional medicine practice and alternative medicine. I went there with high hopes - as the product was recommended by 2 friends. However, the "assistant" to Dr. Hall charges $250 for consultation. Her qualifications were not explained, nor did she impress me that she was fully educated on the physiology of women's hormones. I was mad at myself for not clarifying further (upon booking my appt.) that I would be paying top dollar for such incomplete service. Where to start? Their technician did an ultra sound on my neck and diagnosed a nodule in my Thyroid. Dr. Hall checked the results and had her "Radiologist" look at them too. First, they accidentally call someone else to give them my results... Turned out she knew me and called me to tell me about the misunderstanding. Then, I went to see a Thyroid specialist and it turned out it was all a misdiagnosis and what I really had was a swollen lymph node. On the other hand, when I returned I had other lab work done to me and never received a call with the results. When I asked Susan (Dr. Hall's right hand) she goes to get my file and tells me I have a rare bacteria that I must've gotten in one of my travels to a third world country. But when I look at the lab results myself, I noticed another patient's name! Again another file misplaced. I had already started with loads of hormones so I felt the best thing for me was to continue with the treatments... But I had a bunch of other serious mistakes happen which are too long to describe here. After six months I finally had to face that it's really all a well oiled money making machine where patients are just a pipeline. Very impersonal, with very little regard for important details in every patient's profile. When you're dealing with such an important matter such as hormones, you need a professional environment that is thorough and very conscientious. I gave the Hall Center the benefit of the doubt several times too many, and learned the hard way that you DO NOT mess around with hormones, otherwise you put yourself more at risk than what you actually might be able to achieve.
