Everything about this place is incredible; waitstaff, food, beer selection, charm and musical entertainment. Never been disappointed coming here. Some of my favorites are their pecan smoked ribs, smoked acorn squash (side dish), peppercorn burger, blue cheese potato salad, cole slaw with blue cheese and pecans. Well my partner and I and a friend visited yesterday Thursday Feb 3 at around 3 pm. This was our first experience and visit as per recommendation. We had a lovely visit and the atmosphere was great. We sat in the back patio area. Sun was shining and all was good. The gentleman that first came to our table was leaving for the night and a lovely lady took over. I am not sure if they are short staffed (no one mentioned this) at this time, but the poor lady had the responsibility of way to many tables. My partner sat for a significant length of time (twice) with an empty glass as did our friend (once) Anyway the food was tasty, took a while, and was way overpriced . When we received our bill we all thought we were seeing things. Anyhow that was our experience. We would visit again, but with our experience I could not give 5 stars. We will come back for a beer but not for food and we will try and sit at the bar. Happy trails! read more

It's a cool little bar in Apache Junction. The menu was definitely unique so don't expect just your plain burger and fries. We have been to Handlebar several times when coming from the lake. They always have excellent food, friendly service, large pet friendly patio, and live music. Love the fact they have plenty of gluten free options, in fact all sides, sauces, and dressings are gluten free. Plus they have gluten free bread. Just be prepared no matter the time they are busy and it takes time to make good food. So expect a wait no matter if you order carryout or dine in you will have to wait. But they have plenty of beverages and entertainment to make then wait go by. A really gem not to be missed! read more
