The Hangout spot to enjoy your coffee and sweet treats.
    Sharon N.

The Hangout Cafe offers a walk up indoor cafe and also a drive thru option and a cute backyard with large picnic tables, playground and dogs only area. Lots of shade, tables and benches to watch your littles play behind a secured gate and fenced area. Oh yeah and the coffee is great! They also offer a large selection of muffins, bagels. Croissant, donuts and several gluten free treats. The service was prompt and courteous.

Hubby and I enjoy eating local whenever we visit a new place, and he loves a big breakfast and…read morecoffee. So we found this on Yelp and decided to try it. It was a cute little house with parking in front. Hubby ordered the pine-Gouda-ham biscuit with ham, Gouda cheese, and pineapple jam. It was really delicious. I got the omelette which was loaded with toppings. The nutty Irish and green apple lattes was really good as well. They have a nice selection of regular coffee and specialty coffee that the barista can make for you. Their customer service is great. While there we noticed how they talked to us and everyone that came in. For some reason our order was not placed and after close to a hour I went to ask for it to go and we learned that it didn't go back to the cook. They were very apologetic, reimbursed us for everything, and made the food for us to go. The person who took the order came to our table to personally apologize for a second time. They were so nice about it, we went back the next day! We will be back.

The inside is all (for lack of a better description) homespun and pleasant. Again, it is a nice ambiance. The service was extremely friendly and professional. The breakfast was very good and I would definitely recommend here.

Food options include sandwiches, chips, fruit, yogurt, fresh fruit, desserts and a variety of beverages from Starbucks. Conservatory Cafe is carry out only. There is a microwave in the space and ambiance is nice. It's very clean. Prices are moderate and in alignment for a hotel. It was a lifesaver when I needed to grab something in a hurry!

I spoke to Netosha, and she tried sending me to some other cafe. I said I wanted to dine here instead and cited that I did come well before closing. She didn't provide any form of excuse or apology, just repeated that they are already closed. When I said, "but it's not even 2 pm, and according to the website, you close at 2", she replied with a snark, "is there any particular reason why you want to dine HERE?" I said, there was something on the menu that I had seen earlier and really wanted to try it. She shrugged her shoulders and repeated that they are closed. Again, there were a bunch of workers standing around. The pastries were still behind the glass. They could've easily served me if they cared enough. They could've also asked what I wanted. What if whatever I had in mind was readily available? All I wanted was coffee and a pastry. If her snarky question was only to find out what I wanted to eat so that she could point me in the right direction, it would've been one thing. But when I answered her question, saying about an item on the menu, she didn't ask what it was and simply repeated that they are closed. I found this short encounter with Netosha incredibly rude. This is not how you treat a customer who happens to be a local.

We went on a Tuesday evening and got there right before it got busy. By the time we were settled in, people were already waiting. The drinks were SO good. The Mezcal drink was delicious, but the gin drink was my favorite. It had a little sweetness to it, but don't let that fool you because it will catch you off guard. Very good though. We ordered the pork chop with mac and cheese and a salad, and the catch of the day which was scallops with corn risotto. The pork chop was huge, but unfortunately dry and could've used more flavor. The orange topping sounded good, but I wanted that flavor to come through more. The mac and cheese was a hard no for me. Too bland and runny. The salad and honey mustard were good. The scallops were a little overcooked but still good, and that corn risotto was probably my favorite part of the meal. So much flavor. Would we come back? Yes. The music was diverse and the atmosphere is laid back. Next time we'll probably try something more familiar because those burgers coming out looked GOOD, and I want to try the wings too.
