    Special drink of the day!

The coffee was delicious! I had a special they are offering today. They even included a surprise piece of chocolate with my hot drink. The service was really good. I did not get her name, but she was kind and joyful. This is my second visit, and I would definitely return. The ambiance is fresh and clean, very minimalistic. A little hard to find since it is tucked away in the back of an apartment complex. Plenty of parking. Dog and kid friendly.

I can always expect the best when I come in. The space is filled with warm, natural light and there are plenty of places to sit, plus a super comfy couch. It's a great spot for some good coffee and coworking. Crispy tater tots, bacon, green onions, cheese, and sour cream) are never a miss. They're perfect to share (or not). My current favorite seasonal drink is the Sugar Cookie, but I still think about The Great Pumpkin from the fall menu. I may or may not be counting down until it returns. I'll be back soon either way!

It took me a few years to make it to District Coffee, and now that I have made it, I can't stop going! I am a classic coffee shop guy, and a classic iced coffee guy, so the simple pleasures meet a simple space when I pop in here. While I love sampling their seasonal flavors, they always create magic no matter the season, I normally go for the cold brew with a splash of almond milk and an addition of the sugar free vanilla syrup. Simple perfection! They have a good-sized food menu with several items from meat pies, sandwiches, waffles and even tots. I have had the loaded tots, and while an odd combination with coffee, they were quite tasty! My usual is a pastry of some kind, whatever catches my eye in the case when I get to the counter is what usually ends up on my plate. The space is well laid out and features a few spaces that each have their own vibes from the small tables for those working or studying, to the window counter, the backroom with a communal table and a couch and they even have a boardroom that is rentable for those super official meetings. I normally tuck myself in the backroom, in one of the plush side chairs and hang out for a bit. Service is okay here, honestly probably my only critique. Level of service is definitely the least consistent in my visits so far. Never enough to keep me away, but definitely enough for me to notice. Overall, I am a fan of District Coffee, and when I find myself cruising around this part of South Nashville, you best believe I will be swinging by.

I love the newer location, as the space is larger and there is ample parking. The bakery can get very busy, so I always plan to come early. I usually drop in to quickly pick up their sourdough bread, which I love for how fresh and high-quality it is! I have tried their regular sourdough loaf, which is really good, but my current favorite is their olive & herb sourdough. I usually overlook their pastry section, but the last time I visited, I tried the coffee crumble cake. It was incredibly soft, buttery, and rich. I devoured it in no time.

Having formerly sampled their baked goods and baguette, we approached with some expectation, for those had proved most agreeable. Upon our arrival, Darcy and I were informed that the supply of pastries was nearly exhausted: a circumstance I bore with easy composure, as we intended only for coffee. Yet thereafter, I regret to say, the experience fell somewhat short. My cappuccino was deficient in froth and served with less warmth than one might wish, rendering it rather uninspiring. The interior, though neat, is so spare and restrained in its decoration as to verge upon the austere, and lacks that ease and comfort which invite one to linger. It is not, I think, among the more hospitable establishments we have encountered in Nashville. Though I would not hesitate to return for their baked offerings, I cannot suppose it would become a favored place for repose or refreshment.

They have started doing a little better about having outlet options, but mainly at those tall, long skinny tables. The ones that aren't necessarily great for working because they're so high up and can make your legs feel weird after awhile. Haha. The other semi complaint I have is that they close early. 3 pm is early when you want to try and work. Drinks are good. I don't drink a ton of coffee these days, but what I've had there was good. I get either their chai or matcha. Both of those I enjoy! I had a sandwich there recently. I wanted to roll my eyes at the price truthfully. However, when it came.. WOAH. It was GIANT. I was thoroughly impressed. It was really really good. I had to take half of it home and put it in the fridge. When I came back home hours later... it was STILL GOOD. The bread was not soggy either! That's HUGE! Ok so overall, I highly recommend this place and it's one of my go to spots.

Red Bicycle Coffee looks so cool for one to park and attempt to get some work done. The parking lot is slightly awkward but free. I came to the Red Bicycle off Nolensville pike for a lunch meeting. I didn't try any coffee, tea or crepes but did have a go at the Loaded Hot Home Fries which were lovely! The potatoes are served so crispy and fresh! I substituted the bacon with chicken. It served as my lunch but comes plenty to share with a table. My colleague had some sort of wrap or burrito that he seemed to enjoy. The staff member was very warm and ready to serve. They also have complimentary water from a dispenser and wi-fi. The menu is FILLED with crepe options whether you prefer sweet or savory. They look so good from the pics. Still had time to kill until our room was ready, so we decided to hang out here. Quality/Quantity - Watermelon Crawl - My daughter said that her drink was 4 stars. Vanilla Frapp - This was okay, not as much caffeine as Starbucks. This was my drink. Chai Latte with Oat Milk and Cinnamon - This was 5 stars, thank you. Self service water. Apple Cinnamon Scone - Not my taste, nor my daughter's. But she wanted to try it as it was different. It basically tasted like a sweet waffle. And it was only a quarter size waffle, so not much for value. Atmosphere - Complimentary games; we played codenames and at the same time, I uploaded my Yelp pictures. Free wifi. I really like your space, both indoors and outdoors. See pictures. A great place to hang out and relax. Service - 5 stars. My daughter had a very hard time deciding what she wanted, including buying more gifts for our friends and family. Both team members were so patient, thank you. My only suggestion is that since you made my first drink wrong (wrong size), you should have given that to me also rather than throwing it away. Many businesses do this as additional goodwill. Not sure if I could have drank two coffee frapps back to back though...? Price - $21 + tip. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success since 2011 and with your franchise system and your 51+ locations.
