Today was our 3rd time here for breakfast! The service is always excellent! The food is fresh and delicious! It's a really cute spot with fun drinks and a good cup of coffee! My hubby always gets the same thing (sausage gravy over biscuits) because he says it's the best he's had here in the northeast! Their biscuits and Italian toast are baked in house & they always have interesting specials such as banana bread french toast! We will be repeat customers from now on! Super disappointed... Will only go to Bill and Sam's in the future. Ordered 3 orders - 2 were 2 eggs over easy with bacon hf and toast and 1 order the same but with sausage. We got the smallest eggs that were cooked wrong (or should i say HARDLY even cooked......), the bacon was pure fat and no meat... you pay extra for Bacon, not fat! I will not order here again... if you want a good diner, go to Bill and Sam's down the road. This place is also way more expensive just to get garbage. read more

Just found this place on a morning internet search. We like to try different breakfast places. The food was cooked with perfection. I ordered the ragin Cajun it was full of flavor. Andouille sausage, peppers and chicken. They did not forget to season it! The pancakes are always a good tell of cooking skills and these did not disappoint. Service was friendly and attentive. My hubby and I frequently visit the Hangry Fork for breakfast and it is consistently good - fresh, hot and delicious! The veggie omelet with homefries and homemade toast is one of my favorite dishes. My husband habitually orders the pancake, eggs, sausage and homefries which is good as well! The pumpkin pancakes are excellent! Our waitresses are kind and the ambiance is nice as well! read more

Oh man, I'm so glad I tried this place out for breakfast!! Amazing food and the coffee was delicious as well. I ordered sausage gravy with biscuits, over easy eggs, home fries, and a chocolate chip waffle. The waffle was so fluffy and yet, a slight crunch. The amount of chocolate chips within the waffle was amazing, and I appreciated the fact the chips were spread out and not just a lump of melted chips in the middle of the waffle. The biscuits and gravy were fantastic!! The mouth feel from the gravy was delightful, it coated your tongue ever so nicely and the biscuits themselves were so tasty. They're even still tasty the following day just by nuking them in the microwave for 30 seconds. For the family breakfast date I wanted to find a new place to try. I really wished I looked at the main receipt for our waitress's name she was Amazing!! (It was a Tuesday around 10am). First of all I love the name The Hangry Fork (in Wolcott CT). The one thing I dont like about Diners / Restaurants for breakfast is Im not a regular coffee drinker. This girl needs a flavor and luckily The Hangry Fork had both hazelnut and cinnamon. Our table had two regular coffees, a hazelnut, and cinnamon. The waitress had refills for all of us and remembered who had each type of coffee. Three of us where excited they had one meal that not alot of places offer - sausage biscuits and gravy!! The biscuits light, and buttery but not falling apart. The sausage gravy great consistency and taste. The Fam were all fans of corned beef hash especially homemade hash. This hash was so good obviously not from a can and had that nice crisp on the outside. Finally my sisters veggie omelette with a side of grilled veggies instead of potatoes. The waitress was cool with her special request which also saved them for a plate with wasted potatoes. We will be back to The Hangry Fork! read more

Best corn beef hash i've ever had (crisped to perfection outside perfectly hydrating inside with pieces of whole cut potatoes), the chicken sausage (wouldn't order again) was subtlety sweet at first but the spices became the final pronounced flavor. Home fries are soft but have a slight crisp outside (so good) feel like it would've paired nicely with onions. Wanted to try something new today and the name caught my eye. Hangry was exactly how I felt! Pulled pork Sandwich was delicious. Served on a soft fresh roll, pork was well seasoned and sauced. I loved that it was crisped on the flat top for a nice crunch and paired well with cheddar, red onion and slaw. Beer battered onion rings were tasty. I had driven by the Hangry Fork countless times but only today took the time to go. What a cozy place with staff quick to accommodate and excited about the food they serve. I've an old love for turkey clubs but haven't had a true home cooked turkey breast turkey club in years! I simply stopped ordering them out. Yet today, I barely got the turkey question out of my mouth before two employees and two, apparently regular customers, assured me the turkey was real, fresh, roated turkey and I went for it! Paired with beer buttered onions I was stuffed at half done. My son was also pleased with a Philly Cheese Steak sandwich and fries... he couldn't used more fires lol, but it was all good! read more

Was looking forward to the meatloaf dinner, not good. I had to use a spoon because it wouldn't stay on the fork. No matter how many times I tried to pick it up. The gravy was cold, jellied and the potatoes were cold. Not good. My friend got the steak. Warm, and tons of grizzle. Cold potatoes and not cooked veggies aside from cool. Another friend had the shrimp w pasta. He enjoyed it, the pizza was a oil slick on top as the underneath was soggy. I wanted to support local, but that was the first and last time. We were there for over an hr before we got our food. 2 servers and 3 - 2 tops. Having been a chef for 20 years in the restaurant business, they def need to up there game. read more

Solid 4 stars for The Hangry Fork today. Ordered delivery through doordash. Food arrived hot and fresh! Omelets were both very good. Ordered the Hash and the one with the andouille sausage, can't remember it's name. Both very good. Toast and hardroll came toasted perfectly and lightly buttered. Home fries were out of this world. Much better than many of the other breakfast places around. Cooked perfectly with nice seasoning. French toasts was good and the grits, while a bit bland, were perfectly cooked. Now I could be wrong in this assumption but the orange juice seemed like a good quality juice. More often than not orange juice from a restaurant is from concentrate and not great. The OJ here seems like it could be actual OJ! The only negative I had to say about Hangry Fork was the bacon. It was a bit overcooked. I mean, it's still bacon but just a bit well done for my taste. This is my second time dining here and I am quite impressed. I originally went for lunch and had to comeback for dinner. I had the Shrimp fravdiavlo, I asked if the heat could be adjusted and the waitress said absolutely the chef makes his own sauce. (Yasss!) I had the onion soup with it and it was also delicious. I was in a hangry mood so I also ordered one of my new favorites, their chicken salad sandwich with fries ( to-go) of course. My husband ordered their Cowboy burger, that was one hell of a burger done to perfection and tasted as good as it looked. Stopped in during the week. Place was not busy at all. My coffee was burnt and Not fresh, it had obviously been sitting there for several hours. After I complained I received a fresh cup. Ordered my eggs a certain way and did not receive them as I ordered...this is basic 101 for serving breakfast. Getting the eggs order correct! Very friendly welcome. Coffee is great, lots of variety on the menu. The messy waffle was delish in that I could have a few waffle quarters with butter and syrup and a few bites with the egg, cheese and sausage . Stopped by for a breakfast/lunch with my wife. We had been there two other times for breakfast. The 1st time it was good. The 2nd time it wasn't. So we decided to try it one more time, & I wish we hadn't.... Menu said fresh chili. I was a small cup 1/2 filled with a extremely over microwaved, dry inedible "chili" inside..
