Yelp is asking me to answer the question - What went well ? Is this place a secret gem? I'm not sure but we are so happy we found this place. I feel the need to leave this review here now just in case I forget to leave a actual proper long review. This is our third time, a humble looking joint so we come here always just expecting it's going to be " meh". But we keep coming back, collecting calories around our waist because everything is so good here! Service - always awesome. Everyone here looks like they work cohesively, everyone is smiling working hard . Coffees always refilled. Food- fantastic, always fresh, on point. This time I got an omelette with tomatoes and this is the first time I had an omelet where the tomatoes don't get mushy. Their hash browns are also amazing! ... while we like the shredded we LOVE the fried- like mini French fries. While all of their proteins are awesome - their turkey bacon deserves a special shout out because it often misses the mark at most places.. but not here . And then there are the little things - clean bathrooms, condiments on the table are clean and not sticky or gross !! Anyway, come here. read more

Had breakfast here this morning. Had recently done a few of our normal spots recently so looked for a different place. Place was very large and packed when we showed up at 9:30. We had a group of 6 so had a 20 minute wait, not sure if they take reservations. If we had a smaller group I think we would have been sat quicker. Sunday mornings they only serve breakfast. Lots of great choices on the menu. Everyone enjoyed what they'd gotten. Prices were somewhat inexpensive and they had some interesting options I'd like to have in the future. Went here for a quick bite. My kids are picky so it's hard for them to like a breakfast/ lunch spot. This is was a Cute little spot in Bristol. We kept it simple and got plain pancakes which were perfectly soft and delicious, and hot cocoa. Next time I want to try so many things! The inside was nicely decorated and lots of seating options. The breakfast is very good. The service is very good. This place is in our breakfast place rotation. The only complaint is the breakfast burrito which I won't order anymore. You don't know what burrito you're going to get, the one that matches description with fluffy scrambled eggs or the one the cook that cooks the scrambled eggs flat, just not very good this way. read more

After reading all of the great reviews and seeing instagram reels, I knew my husband and I had to try PC out! We went on a Saturday around 1pm and it was busy, but there was no wait for a table.The hostess and our waitress were very warm and welcoming. My husband ordered a full stack of buttermilk pancakes with a side of bacon. I myself ordered a garden veggie breakfast burrito that came with home fries and a side of one piece of french toast. All of our food was excellent! The pancakes were warm and fluffy, the bacon crispy, my burrito was packed with veggies, and the french toast perfectly sweet. The restaurant itself was good sized, and had a separate room for parties. My only complaint would be that PC is very drafty, as the front door opens into a huge open room of tables. I'm always looking to explore for more diner options, and this was my first time to Parkside. This place has an upscale feel, is pretty big inside, & was absolutely bustling on this Saturday morning. Menu has standard breakfast & lunch items, but an impressively array of creative options - see menu pics. It's a bit more expensive than other nearby breakfast options, e.g., $16-$18 for omelettes, but the prime N.Main street, downtown Bristol location comes at a premium. One of the best brunches I've had in a long time! The Parkside had a huge menu with so many creative options for sandwiches, sweets, drinks, and more. Our personal favorite was the kielbasa sandwich (Spanky's revenge), but everything was fresh and high quality. My family and I recently stopped in to The Parkside Cafe for a quick breakfast. We were looking for a spot we could pop in and out of within an hour or so. The Parkside Cafe is located on North Main St. For those of you not keen on street parking (like me), it has its own parking lot and plenty of spots to accommodate a busy weekend. We went on a Sunday morning, there was a short wait for a table to open up but nothing more than you'd expect on one of busiest times of the week for a breakfast spot. The inside was a clean modern look with an open layout and high open ceilings. Almost as if they had converted an previously industrial building. Brown/tan walls (outside walls were painted brick) with dark red accents. They had ample seating and variety of seating options to accommodate different group sizes. The staff was super friendly including our server who was very attentive and always came back to our table to check on us even though she was quite busy. The menu was two sided with a breakfast side and a lunchtime side but with plenty of choices for either dining experience. I ordered a pulled pork breakfast burrito with a side of home fries. Wow. What a different item to see on a breakfast menu but there were other uncommon and interesting menu items as well. The pulled pork burrito was excellent too! After all, pork (sausage, ham or bacon), eggs and cheese do make sense for breakfast, so why not pulled pork. The home fries that came as my side were delicious as well. Now I know! The pulled pork was a more "premium" breakfast menu item that at the time we went was $15 but The Parkside Cafe offers plenty of meal options between $6-$10 (Believe my wife's full meal was around $7 with no drink). So you can walk out of there with a full belly but without breaking the bank and it makes it a excellent place to bring a full family too. I'll be heading back to The Parkside Cafe soon to try more of their premium breakfast meal options and maybe even flip the menu for some lunch instead . Ordered the crapes, simple fast and easy, not here. Place was 2/3rds empty and the kitchen struggled. The crapes were cooked with a cheap bad flavored oil that was the only flavor for the undercooked, yet over stuffed crapes; made cold by big splotches of melted whipped cream on the outside and cold overly sweetened poor quality cream cheese with cold banana chunks inside. Along with a clump of peanut butter spread and an abundant drizzle of chocolate sauce. Each component failed and all of it was put together without attention to what they were doing or how it might taste. It was just bad,. I left with 90% of it still on the plate. The menu items are varied, with many unique and creative selecyions as well as the usual fare. Our waitress, Amanda, earned this nickname from me: "Amazing Amanda." this is a perfect place to hold an event this review is about a wedding just held at The Parkside and I cannot say enough good things. They were so accommodating on all of our needs. The food was absolutely excellent and the service too. The staff is so nice as is Leanne And JR. We were allowed to bring centerpieces and have a swag with flowers put on the sliding barn door. All our guests were very happy as were we. At one point one of young kids at our wedding requested plain pasta no sauce, just butter and JR accommodated that while letting my grandchild watch him cook the pasta. this is a great place to book an event. You can sit down with Leanne and discuss the menu you want. They are very reasonable on price. The service will be excellent. Such a nice staff and wonderful people. The atmosphere is also very nice. Upon entering, the woman in the front out our name down and told us about 15-20 min and for sure within 15 min we were seated, I love an establishment that knows their actual wait times and is organized with a list- kudos! I ordered the iced French toast latte (special) with almond milk and it surely was like a dessert in a drink --YUM! 4/5 For my main, I had the eggs Benedict (one of my favorite breakfast/brunch meals) and it also hit the spot! The potatoes were nicely cooked and seasoned and of course the eggs and hollandaise together were just great together in this dish. 4/5 My son had the Philly cheesesteak breakfast burrito and loved it as well, he ate the whole thing! Stopped in around 1130am on a Sunday for a quick bite. There was a 20 minute wait but we grabbed seats at the bar within 5 mins. The service was fantastic. Our waitress was so efficient and made sure to keep checking on us. We ordered the #6 and a western omelette. Both dishes were amazing. The omelette was a little more moist on the inside than I usually prefer and the toast was a little soggy, but the flavors were great. I asked for the home fries well done and you can get them well done on the grill or deep fried. They also have a selection of hot sauces which is nice too. Overall, prices are also great. Had a wonderful breakfast with the family. First time here and our service to start was excellent. Coming from Southern California the chill in the air here makes for a great get started meal. The traditional Benedict dish was spot on especially the perfectly flavored hollandase sauce. The shredded home fries or for some hash browns were a great match. A salmon Benedict was ordered and I truly recommendit was amazing to the eyes and the taste buds. The black berry waffle looked killer, can't tell you how it tasted it was gobbled down in seconds. Food was mediocre, terribly under-seasoned. I got a veggie breakfast burrito and it was so soggy the wrap just fell apart. I added bacon to it hoping it would add crunch but honestly it seemed barely cooked, which explains the excess moisture of the vegetables soaking into the tortilla. When I found out that the owners also own Pure Foods, I wasn't surprised that anything mostly consisting of vegetables was beyond bland and preparation left something to be desired. read more

They're usually always very busy which I've found can lead to longer wait times from the kitchen to the wait staff coming around to check on you. But they're always very polite. I would say the majority of what we've ordered over the years have been really good, but there have been a few items where it's much hotter in spice than expected. I finally did it- after 13 yrs of being open in my neighborhood, after knowing it was run by my former roomie of 10 yrs ago's parents, after knowing it's, like, THE spot to go in Bristol for breakfast- I took my girlfriend out to Parkside Cafe. Super quaint & hugging the corner of a turn-of-the-(20th) century strip mall, guarded in by cars wrapping the adjacent streets for on-street parking and adorned with patio tables, windowsill flower boxes, & a Sailor Jerry tattoo artist inspired window sign, Parkside Cafe just *looks* popular- like a place people with friends go to meet. It gives off an appeal that boomers AND 'basic-b****' Millennials alike could adore. It's got a Central Perk Cafe aura, minus the famous orange couch. We came in at 8 am on a Wednesday. It was packed like we were at a diner right after church. Immediately, I was afraid we would have to wait, & there isn't many seating options for those waiting, but we were greeted and seated right away by a very friendly server. We were seated at a cute bar height table for two in front of the Sailor Jerry decal window. Awesome! But next to us was the patron who came immediately before us, at a regular height table about 3 feet from our doubly tall table. I wish restaurants knew how awkward it is to be in either position- the one lording over the other diners, or as the diners at the short table dealing with your head being at butt-height of the other diners. It's just awkward all around, but not the worst. Inside is too warm, too close, and too loud. There's no notable A/C cooling the place. There are ceiling fans coming down from the stunning ceiling, but they weren't on. Like I said, it's a turn of the century building with a gorgeous tall ceiling & wood floors. What it doesn't have, though, is good acoustics. Every noise and vibration were super amplified. Someone got out of their chair across the dining room and it sent an uncomfortably strong vibration up my own stool. Cute decor, a lil dated w the early 00's Cafe mocha scheme mixed with holes in the walls, but it's tasteful & not overwhelming. The service was ok. They seemed fully staffed, but the restaurant was also fully packed. Our server wasn't the most attentive, and called me (a man, albeit transgender, but I'm a big hairy dude) & my girlfriend "ladies" at least twice. It was really awkward to say the least. The menu options are hearty and creative. They have traditional breakfast and lunch items, & they also have fun items that seem "breakfast inspired" more than actual breakfast food, @ would be great any time of day- like The Fire Pig breakfast sandwich my girlfriend got. It's a gigantic sandwich that's got egg, chorizo, jalapenos, pepperjack & more, making it super spicy, messy, & probably a great late night snack! My breakfast burrito with bacon was underwhelming and flavorless. I've never had to salt every bite of a food I'm eating before this, but there's a first for everything! Looked delish, 10/10. Tasted bland, but fixable, 5/10. The home fries, however, were an enigma all their own. When the server brought them out to our table, I thought I made it to heaven. The crispy crunchy layer on top looked (keyword: looked) scrumptious. I then took the ketchup (thinking, "oh good, Heinz, nothing else is as good as Heinz"), shook it, then squeezed out a runny watery mess of Definitely-Not-Heinz in a bottle so old and condensated the label moved off the bottle as I made the mistake squeeze onto my plate. I shrugged it off- I can't have it all, right? Then I stabbed my fork into those crunchy.... WET!? homefries, made with RED potatoes? Cut almost like German potato salad but hot? What is this? They were utterly flavorless without seasoning so I seasoned them then had a few. I couldn't get over how they were so deceptively crunchy on top, yet so slimy underneath. Just not like any home fry I've had in my life. Overall, I'm a bit bummed. Parkside Cafe was definitely the place to be, considering how many diners they had on a Wednesday morning, but it's not necessarily the place for me. I might try it again to try some lunch items or their famous crepes, especially if they have the patio tables set up, unlike today. The experience was middle of the road, not even counting being called a lady multiple times by the server, which, especially after the 2nd time, kinda ruined my good mood. I'll prob be back to try something else before writing them off. Sadly, in my quest to find our new regular diner spot, I've crossed Parkside off the list. read more

I pretty much always get the pulled BBQ pork waffle sandwich because it's so yummy (and the portion is huge!) And I always sneak a bite from my boyfriend's plate as well, so I know that their breakfast burritos/sandwiches and eggs benedicts are amazing too. Of course thy were busy on a Sunday morning but my water and coffee (and my companion's) were never refilled. We waved down another server for a to go box. And another one for our check.
