While in the Austin neighborhood, I passed by Schweet Cheesecake and decided to stop in. They scored high marks as soon as I walked in. The woman behind the counter was welcoming and conversational. Granted I was the only patron in the cafe at the time, it still made me glad that I had gone in. It just feels nice going into an establishment and feeling like you've had a brief check-in with friends. I bought two personal cheesecakes, one River's Key Lime and one Choc Chip Westside. Because I was saving them to have later throughout the week in small bites, I had a taste of each and don't think I will be buying anyone else's cheesecake for awhile. These cheesecakes are outstanding. If they served coffee or tea, I would have a sit-down and enjoy a few bites of cheesecake on the premises. If my mind serves me correct, they have access to Wi-Fi, so there wouldn't be a need to rush. Out of respect to them, I wouldn't want to bring food into the establishment. In the meantime, I will certainly patron them when I want a dessert other than cake. Next time I go, I will check to see if they bake specialty cheesecakes for birthdays. read more

My husband's favorite desserts are some of my least favorite. One in particular is cheesecake. I wanted to find a way to get him cheesecake for his birthday without committing to an entire cake and stumbled on Schweet. Schweet had amazing reviews and even better personal and cupcake sized cheesecake options. I ordered an assorted dozen cupcakes for pickup. The team working when I arrived was super nice and while I wasn't in the shop long, it was cute. More importantly, my husband loved the cheesecake as did everyone who tried it. I love supporting local businesses. Not only does Schweet have a great product, they have a great mission. I remember a while back on FB someone pozted about the Ndizi banana pudding cheezecake and I had to come to Schweet. I finally happen to be in the area and was excited to try it az well az the Turkey chili and chicken gumbo however they were sold out so dzzert it waz. To my surprize it waz not got good and I tried so hard but I couldn't finish it. Az you can see the bananas were old. The cheesecake part was good though. My next time when it's fresh. Had some of the mid-size and small cheesecakes at a work event and they were overall pretty good. My favorites were the ones that had fresh fruit and a dollop of whipped cream as a topping. Although the base cheesecake is solid and I loved getting a small hint of NY-style fresh lemon juice from some of them, I was a bit disappointed that the base for all the ones we ordered seemed to be the exact same. And not that I'm an amazing chef or anything, but the cheesecake itself also didn't seem that far off from homemade, albeit slightly sweeter and maybe nicer looking. I guess that could be seen as a perk as well. The crust on all of them was also the same, and I wish it had been a teeny bit more salt or something to cut the sweetness. read more

This was the BEST cheesecake my family has ever had. Which says a lot, my parents are dessert snobs and they loved it...Cheesecake is my husband's favorite dessert it was his 40th birthday last weekend so naturally I placed an order to try something new, I saw the raving reviews and thought we'd give it a try. (Usually we order our cheesecake from Brooklyn.) Schweet's cheesecake blew the Brooklyn cheesecake out of the water. Ordering and payment was conveniently taken online. I was notified when my cheesecake was ready and I had a handsome and kind gentleman bring the cheesecake out to my car with little to no wait time. Couldn't have had a better experience. I called on a whim after seeing they had great reviews for their cheesecake. I love supporting small businesses, especially those owned by WOMEN and MINORITIES. Well they did not disappoint. I asked for same day delivery and was lucky that there was delivery available. It was my husband's birthday and he was at work - he's a firefighter. The owner kindly agreed to make the delivery. And when she arrived with the cakes she WAITED patiently for them to return from a run. The firemen and paramedics LOVED the cheesecakes. I had no chance of getting a taste brought home. Delicious, fresh, beautiful cheesecakes obviously made with quality ingredients and pride. This is my new go to place for cheesecakes. It should be yours too! read more

When I think of cheesecake, I think of Schweets. It has the perfect amount of sweetness. I love that the strawberry cheesecake is topped with fresh strawberries versus the artificial syrup. I took my FIL there and if Schweets ever opens out of state shipping options, he would be the number one customer. Honestly, this is the only place to buy cheesecake in Chicago. read more

Very nice customer service and cute place!! Unfortunately, I was not a fan of the cheesecake. The cheesecake itself is not as creamy as I expected but the toppings are good. I would prefer flavored cheesecake to match the toppings (chocolate swirl cheesecake to match the chocolate chip topping) It's kind of too plain for me. I still encourage others to visit!! Support! So I googled best cheesecake in Chicago. Among Eli, Cheesecake Factory, Magnolia and several others I found Schweet in an article. I love trying new places so I looked into the location and hours. Let me just say this place definitely has the best cheesecake I've had in Chicago. You have to schedule a pick up or delivery. But it's pretty simple and they respond immediately to inquiries. I purchased The Viola and The Avenue for my daughters 20th birthday. Everyone asked where I purchased the cake because it was their new favorite. The cakes taste fresh and homemade. Amazing tasting cheesecakes. Customer service is top notch. I came from out of town to attend a family member's 50th birthday and decided that I would contribute by handling the dessert. I found Schweet online and stopped by to chat and see what they had to offer. With so much to choose from I decided on a dessert bar. I ordered a regular size cheesecake and 3 dozen mini cheesecakes in 4 different flavors. It was a big hit at the party. People at the party continue to ask where the dessert came from. I was on an Ubereats binge, and I came upon this gem. The cheesecake is soooooo darn good! I ordered two MooMoos, strawberry and graham/caramel flavor. The schweetness of the cheesecake itself is perfect. The smoothness is on point, not grainy. Very good vanilla flavor, and very fresh even when I ordered 20 minutes to closing time. I googled best cheesecake in Chicago and Schweets came up. My husband traveled 45 minutes and it was worth every effort to get this cheesecake!. The crust is homemade deliciousness. No weird seasonings, just fresh. The filling is perfect. Fluffy and not too heavy. Homemade whip cream and was decorated so beautifully with strawberries. Delectable! Delicious! Scrumptious! You taste the "home made" immediately. These are by far, the best cheesecakes I've ever had. Visited for the fist time yesterday with a couple of friends. We each bought between 3 and 4 personal size rounds. I expected my 4 cakes to last 4 days. They're gone in 24 hours. Absolutely delicious. It was the day after Thanksgiving and I had a strong craving for cheesecake. The usual spots were either closed or out of cheesecake so we made the trek to Schweet's to give them a whirl. My husband and I contacted Chamille in December 2019 about providing cheesecakes for our 2/29/20 wedding. Right from the start, she was amazing to work with! She invited us in to the shop for a tasting, and from the minute we tasted those cheesecakes we were sold!! They are homemade from a family recipe, and you can taste the difference! Chamille was so open to our ideas and able to customize our order perfectly to provide the dessert we wanted for our wedding. Always very prompt to respond to my many follow-up emails, and worked together perfectly with our caterer to deliver the cheesecakes so we did not have to worry about a thing on our wedding day. Even more exciting to us is that we were able to support a local business for our wedding and Schweet uses a portion of it's profits to provide entrepreneurship courses to others in their neighborhood!! We will definitely be back for anniversary cheesecakes, birthday cheesecakes, holiday cheesecakes, and any other excuse we can find to eat cheesecake!! read more

It's a weekday and there were only a couple open spots, I'd imagine on weekends it may be hard to come by with a free spot in their lower or upper parking lot. As other reviewed have said, their space is small, with only four high top stools. But for us today, it was fine. Our main interest was the ice cream and characters! They're adorable! They have so many options too. They were sold out of a few of the characters, so make sure to level set expectations for a little one beforehand. Not only is it cute but their ice cream itself is delicious too! They have an extensive menu but we only ordered ice cream. The staff is really nice as well.

The mango sago dessert was so much fun with lots of chunks of mango. The prices were a bit high but the desserts all come in high quality containers. Parking was a bit tight in the parking garage next to the shop. The shop itself is smaller with just a few seats. You can also buy flower arrangements here. Definitely come here to try some Asian desserts!

Ube lining was decent and smooth, just took some effort to scrape. However I expected the ube at the bottom of the cup to be mashed similarly and it was not. Boba was chewy on the outside but ripped apart easily in the center, almost firm.

I am indifferent to these because of the strong almond flavor. 4) The pistachio croissant was buttery and flakey with a flavorful pistachio cream filling and crushed pistachios. 5) The cannoli are freshly piped when you order it. A lot of bakeries have cannoli piped in advance and there's a risk of the shell getting soft before consumption. You have the option of finishing it with chocolate chips and/or crushed pistachio.
