I'm so happy with my Cezanne Perfect Finish keratin treatment. I've had many other keratin treatments before and none have given me the look I was after. I have curly/ frizzy fine hair. Air drying used to be out of the question and I am happy with my air dried hair for the first time in my life!!! My hair is a few inches past my shoulders and it was $230. I am very surprised at the rating of this place because this was by far THE WORST salon experience I've ever had. When I first walked in I was my happy, chirpy self, but when the owner Rima approached me, she gave me a very negative, standoffish vibe. She asked me what I wanted done and then told me to sit in the chair. I should've followed my instinct and ran out while I was sitting in the chair waiting as she spoke (as if I wasn't even there) to another lady getting her hair done by SOMEONE else. Lesson learned...FOLLOW YOUR INSTINCT. The whole salon experience was horrible, from listening to the ladies talk about other people that came in, to the rough shampooing and PULLING on my hair with the round brush (I swear I lost a ton of hair in that sink), to the crappy customer service, and the VERY unsociable crew (except for the one-male employee that was in there), and the moments of awkward silence when I was the only one in there with just the workers sitting and staring at me. Being the person that I am, I still gave a good tip just because I know times are hard and I can't find it in myself to tip less than the norm. However, I have decided to redeem my good tipping by writing this bad review and urging others to read this and go somewhere else...trust me, anywhere else would be better than here. *In response to your reply since for some reason I cannot directly reply* What head massage?? Also, my daughters and I are laughing over here because there is no way that I would use the word "wonderful" in response to a service I received. Anyone who knows me would say that's not how I talk. Besides the lie mentioned up above...I appreciate your reply...and I guess if you think you were giving great customer service it may be a cultural thing. I should preface my comments by saying how much I hate leaving negative reviews. Its unfortunate when a business falls short and I always prefer to work things out in person before I leave a poor review. However, in this case I will not be going back to the business for any second chances. I found Rima's Salon on Yelp and was impressed by the number of positive reviews so I booked an appointment. Unfortunately, my experience was far less than satisfactory. After growing my hair out for the past nine months I decided it was time for a change. When I walked into the salon I was greeted by a friendly salon assistant. There were no stylists working at the time. Almost immediately, however, Rima came in from outside and had me sit in a chair. Rima did not greet me nor introduce herself even though I'd never been in the salon. As I had not been told who would be cutting my hair I was surprised when I later realized she was the business owner. Rima abruptly asked "what are we doing?" to which I provided a photo of the cut I was looking for. She then took me to the wash station. During the cut she did not engage in the normal friendly conversation I've come to expect from service-oriented businesses and I began to feel I was inconveniencing her. I attempted to make small talk but she did not especially engage. While none of the above is critical to a good haircut, Rima did not deliver on the cut either. From the time I sat in her chair until walking out of the salon less than 15 minutes passed. She worked exceptionally fast and took off hard won growth with careless abandon. Her cut was uneven and did not remotely resemble the photo I presented. Surprisingly, she did not check for any unevenness. I've since had the cut corrected elsewhere. I regret the generous tip I provided at the conclusion of the cut but I was so stunned by the experience that I went into auto-pilot. I'm really confused when I read Rima's other reviews and have to wonder if she was having a particularly bad day when I was in her salon. Aside from the assistant, the environment was unfriendly and bordered on unprofessional. I won't be back to see if things get better. Very disappointing. read more

Rima's cut is absolutely great! For over 35 years I had my hair cut stylist and she recently retired. Rima was recommended by my sister. I called one day, got a late afternoon appointment same day, walked in, explained my personality, my routine of self hair styling, my crazy unmanageable hair, and asked for a short layer cut! Wow what an amazing service. A little back story.. I went to a salon in encino and my hair became gummy, it was falling out in chunks, did not tone me and made me yellow blonde. I came to rima after a referral and I wish I had come here sooner. She made my hair come back to life, styled it exactly how I wanted it, and gave me the color I initially wanted. The service was okay, but they were fully under construction while doing my hair which is weird. I just wanted a simple haircut Trim and that, but they ended up fully blow drying my hair as if i'm going to a wedding when I said I wanted it straightened! Then tried to rush me to pay which I wouldn't have minded but it is super unprofessional and disrespectful. The trim costed almost $100! totally not worth it plus the cut looks bad. They treat you well, greet customers & offer pastries, water, tea and or coffee. They work great as a team & make you feel comfortable. They were very accommodating with the appointments & not difficult at all. Completely honest about the process & told me the do's and don't do's along with answering my questions. I got the Brazilian Keratin Hair Treatment. They made the 3 hour time go fast due to working together as a team and I really appreciated them taking the time to do things good & not rushing things. Came in for Cezanne Perfect Finish and had a good experience. It was my first Cezanne, though I've had about 4 Brazilian Blowouts. After reading about the toxicity of the Brazilian, I looked for months for an alternative and came upon Cezanne. Finding a stylist in LA that doesn't charge a fortune was a challenge. I paid $ 240 here, which is pretty reasonable for medium length hair. I hope Cezanne becomes more popular in LA and more salons offer it in lieu of Brazilian. The salon is clean and both Rima and her husband are super nice. They will make you feel at home and offer you coffee/tea/snacks until you agree :). read more

Everyone at the salon was very friendly and I felt very welcomed. It's been a struggle finding the right hair dresser in Los Angeles and I've had some pretty terrible experiences. Most welcoming and friendly hair salon I've ever been to.. THAT'S RARE. I just came here to get a simply blow dry because I didn't feel like going to Glendale to my usual place. There was a gentleman there which I believe is Rima's husband. He kept offering me drinks and made sure I was paid attention to at all times. My hairstylist Narineh was so nice. I usually hate going to new hairstylists for blow dries because I have super curly/frizzy hair but wow she works wonders. I left the salon about 30 minutes later and she managed to tame my lion's mane perfectly. My hair lasted all night and the curls didn't even open. I'm happy to say that I've officially found my go-to salon for blow dries and will always be asking for Narineh! Customer service is a 10/10 here. Very very impressed!! Been coming to Rima since I was a little girl and to say she's probably the only person who can handle the mess on top of my head called hair is an understatement. She has done so many amazing treatments to my head just to relax the craziness and it has worked. Without them my hair would have reached the sky because that was the only direction it would grow. Moving out of Glendale and living somewhere else I still don't feel like anyone else can do what she does so when I have the time to visit I make sure to go get my hair done.
