The only negative I can recall was that on the second visit, the music was "all country, all the time" and I cannot stand country music. If music was playing during my first visit, it didn't register. So it couldn't have been country because, to me, country is just like fingernails on a chalkboard. It sends me right around the bend. I can tolerate mediocre food (to a point) but country music? No way. Besides what's up with country music in Alaska? Bluegrass - maybe but Alaska is a helluva long way from the South and Cowboy country, although you do see quite a few Stetsons in Alaska. Not nearly as many as baseball caps but too many. We did see a few people actually riding horses with cowboy hats on but that doesn't mean it's appropriate. (I wonder if Sarah Palin wore a cowboy (girl?) hat when she was shooting wolves from helicopters.)

They have music and comedy and a beautiful stage and the motel is so comfortable and welcoming. The curtains block out the sun to where you never know what time it is outside and that's just the way I like it The owner makes you feel like family. I have stayed here multiple times as a motel guest and have eaten here on many occasions and I give it one of my top ratings for both. I always feel safe happy and comfortable here.
