Dependable, efficient, and friendly! The hours you see on there (Mon-Fri 12am-12am) are no joke. They actually will help you any time of day and night. This also means they will react fast, which doesn't typically happen in this business. The owner seems to not like to keep people waiting while it's hot with their air broken or too cold with their heat broken. I called the Heating and Cooling Guys and I had an appointment within 24 hours. I actually was late coming home for the appointment and despite me being an hour late, they still came out once I actually got home. The owner was the individual that came out and he found the issue very quickly. He also fixed it that night! The air conditioning was up and working very quickly. Technician wants to charge me 1800$ for a schrader valve replacement.. claiming the whole system needs to be vacuumed out and then new refrigerant needs to go back in & $200 per pound. Any decent technician knows that you can fully replace a shrader valve with a simple tool and no lost refrigerant. It's a $50 fix that Google describes as a fix an average home owner could do. Glad they got there $79 dollars out of me for useless information. Wouldn't trust these guys without doing your own research. read more

I needed an AC repair in the middle of the summer and on a weekend. They showed up on right away on a Saturday and got my AC back and working. Fair price for the services performed. Will continue to use them for heating and cooling needs in the future. read more

This used to be my go-to HVAC repair company. They historically did a good job at a fair price. This week, however, they didn't show up for their appointment that I had scheduled two days in advance. That doesn't seem like a long time, but it feels like a long time in the summer heat with no AC. I tried calling when they didn't show, but got no answer. I tried calling and emailing the next day as well, but still no answer. I'm not sure what happened, but unfortunately had to find someone else to come repair the AC, since we can't wait around indefinitely. read more

Extremely poor experience with the Heating and Cooling Guys. Our heating went out last winter in the beginning of December. The Heating and Cooling guys came to fix it, took the system out of the ceiling and left us without heat for over a month! It was a month long battle of phone calls, canceled appointments, poor service, and horrible workmanship. After four weeks of fighting this company, Mike, the owner showed up and fixed the heating system, but only after my family went without heat for a month. 10 months later the repairs they have done are leaking and failing. Mike, the owner, will not honor his 12 month warranty. Mike told us that the repair man, Jason, was fired for poor work and service for a number of customers including us. Mike will not take responsibility for the work done by HIS company and will not honor his warranty and we are left with a broken heating system after less than a year. We spent over $2000 originally with his company to have the system fixed. Poor ownership,dishonest, poor service, and incredibly poor workmanship. DO NOT USE THE HEATING AND COOLING GUYS! read more

I won't ever use any other company. They showed up, and were straight forward, showed me exactly what was wrong, and at no point did they try and pull one over on me, try and make me feel stupid. There was no pressure at all. As a single girl, I really expected to be treated like I was just a dumb girl (as another company did before). I would never use Heating & Cooling Guys to do any job at my apartments at S. Salt Lake. They replaced a belt on one of the Swamp Coolers and left them extremely tight. I was lucky the motor did not burn. I called a couple of times and they never called me back. Of course they got paid, so now they have no incentive to come back out and correct their mistake. The Heating & Cooling Guys is my go-to HVAC company. Our furnace stopped working two winters ago. Another company came and said we needed a new furnace. We decided to get a second opinion. The Heating and Cooling Guys came and said it was just our thermostat, which needed new batteries. Our furnace is still working fine 18 months later. What a JOKE!! We bought and paid for a new furnace and A/C system in March. They have had to come out 5-6 times to fix or repair a brand new system. Then they told me my air ducts were dirty and wouldn't come fix anything until I had them cleaned.. So I spent an additional $150 to have that done, what do we find. THE MORONS HAD INSTALLED WRONG PARTS!!! WHAT WERE YOU CHECKING THE PREVIOUS VISITS!! How can someone "work" on a problem and not even check what kind of equipment was installed? While my family and I melt in our home,in July, The owner Mike,and his "tech" AJ sit comfortably in their homes. Has it ever been sooo hot in your house you can't sleep? I'd find another company to do your system. 5 months they've been "trying to fix it". You might think I'd be put on the schedule first thing Monday morning...nope.. We'll stop by...sometime Monday.. If you like being given the run around,living in a sauna, and pushed to the side, this is a GREAT company. they'll be happy to care for you that way. read more
