    Huevos rancheros

I haven't been here in a lot of years. I wanted to see if maybe the food would have improved it. We ordered the chicken and waffles and huevos rancheros, we were seated quickly, and the waitress was just fine. Nothing particular spectacular about the chicken waffles. Just basically chicken fingers on top of some waffles. My wife told me that the huevos rancheros were OK nothing to write home about. If you're coming here for dinner just or lunch it'll do the job but don't expect too much. It's just one of those mediocre places that'll get it done.

Our recent visit to The Heights was absolutely worth it. My wife ordered the short rib dinner with mashed potatoes and fresh vegetables, and everything was cooked perfectly with amazing flavor. I had the Better Bacon Wedge, which was fresh, crisp, and loaded with flavor. We also shared the Elote Dip, and it was the perfect starter. Great food, relaxing atmosphere, and excellent service. Definitely looking forward to coming back!

The Heights is a great local spot in Upland where you can come for a date night, a girls night, host a group dinner, or enjoy some beers at the bar. We come here about once a month when craving a nice meal out, they have a good drink menu, variety of appetizers and entrees- something for everyone. The prices are reasonable and it's a nicer place than chain restaurants like chilis or Septembers. Highly recommend it here

We were doing a leisure activity in Upland and thought we'd try a new place for us in the area. The Heights is on the outskirts of a shopping center and has a neighborhood bar and grill feel. They have outdoor patio seating, bar seating, and dining room seating. They have happy hour food specials every day from 2pm to 5pm. We were greeted by our server Ethan who took good care of us. They have a good drink and wine menu. I ordered a glass of Austin Hope cab since I knew I would be having a steak and my girlfriend ordered the Pearly Legal cocktail. Her drink was served in a water glass which was a little underwhelming and she didn't realize the cider was carbonated but she said it was ok. We started with the Ahi Tuna cocktail appetizer. The ahi being served in a bar glass was a little hokey but it had great flavor with the soy based marinade and avocado chunks. For my entrée, I ordered the ribeye with double veggies. It was cooked a perfect medium rare and had a great grilled flavor. The veggies were fresh and not frozen. She ordered the buffalo chicken salad. Aside from bacon that was slightly little undercooked, she enjoyed it.

I was getting my hair done and my stylist recommended The Heights for lunch. I was immediately welcomed when I walked in and really took to the "chill" yet classy decor. Since I was alone, I just sat at the bar. Mandy took such great care of me and was an absolute delight, with the best personality. They have a great selection of salads, which is what I was in the mood for on such a hot day. And the sparkling Rosè wine was on special. WIN! My steak salad was absolutely delicious and fresh. The steak was perfectly seasoned and melted-in-your-mouth amazing. I will probably make this my go-to spot after all of my hair appointments (and for Happy Hour with friends).

    Nachos

Western Burger was good!! Super thick patty, came out super hot. I only ate half and my husband at the whole thing and he was full. Nachos were pretty filling. Service was kinda slow, but that was the the whole environment. Slow quiet place.

Place never disappoints. Every sandwich and pasta has been spot on. Pizza too. I look forward to hitting this place again when I'm in DTLA.

I didn't see it listed on the menu, but is there a happy hour at this restaurant? And if so, is it for drinks and appetizers?

The surf and turf wrap is great and no one around has anything like it. Shrimp, steak, avocado, and cheese. Pastrami is good especially on marbled rye. Love the salmon dinner with succotash, the steak is good too. Have not tried the spaghetti, but I hear good things. The veggie omelette is another favorite, we add ham. Soups are all good. The chicken tortilla is so packed with stuff that you may only need that and a couple drinks. Happy hoiur 2-6 Tuesday-Thursday Monday 2-close. We ordered the steak nachos, and they were seriously impressive -- generously loaded with tender, well-seasoned beef, creamy sauce, fresh pico de gallo, avocado slices, and pickled onions. The acidity from the pico and onions nicely balanced the richness of the cheese and chips, so it never felt too heavy. Plenty of meat in every bite. The setting overlooking the green is relaxed and scenic, and the staff were all very friendly and welcoming. Happy hour makes it an even better deal with a couple dollars off. Definitely worth a stop, even if you're not golfing.

They even offer a special cocktail menu just for these evenings. None of the featured drinks seemed appealing to us, so I ordered a Lemon Drop while my husband went with an Old Fashioned. The space is intimate, cozy, and beautifully decorated with a New Mexico inspired vibe that gives it a unique touch. The bartender was super nice, and the music was great all night. It was definitely more of a lively atmosphere, so conversation was a bit difficult at times due to the volume, but we still had a wonderful time enjoying the drinks and music. Overall, it was a fun experience, and we're glad we stopped by. We'd love to come back on a non Sunday evening to experience the speakeasy in a different setting.

Oh and it's the BEST A/C in the entire market! We got served by Jasmine and Casey who made sure our glasses were never empty. The Bizcochito and Thank You For Smoking were unique and truly divine. I truly felt bougie here. My whole group can't get enough of the complementary popcorn. My ONLY gripe is the reservation system that looks like it's always booked - but even if the reservation looks full, there will always be a place for you here. This is a must for any fan of drinks or speakeasies.
