THE MUSIC PLAYER HERE IS A RIP-OFF! Stopped in for the first time, and unfortunately, it would probably be my last. Oddly, there are a lot of great things to like about this joint... the bouncer was cool, the drinks were good, pool tables available, and an overall easy-going crowd. On top of all that the place is welcoming, nice ambiance, and clean restrooms... The pitfall here, unfortunately, is the music player - and IT'S A COMPLETE RIP-OFF. If you happen to step foot in here, don't expect to come in thinking you can pay for your favorite song and get it to play overhead through the speakers - unless you are the only one in the bar. How the music player works: Pay money for credits. 2 credits per dollar. Pick your music. Upgrade your music selection by spending more credits, spending more money. Spend 3 credits to get your song played with priority. 4 credits with a music video. Paying for priority (3 credits) allows your song choice to cut into whatever is already playing overhead - regardless if it was paid for by another patron or not. Moreover, you can do this using a mobile phone app instead of physically standing in front of the music player. So, if you happen to be the chompsky-honk wanker who wants to monopolize the music choice and cut into everyone's music selection and essentially burn what they paid for, wasting their credits and money, you can do exactly that. My experience: I paid $5 for music credits enough to play 7 tracks and only one song I selected got played, 2 got cut into and the others probably didn't play at all. During my selection at the player, I noticed all this. Catching on quickly, I used the priority option twice to get my song to play overhead only to experience it getting cut out by the dil-hole somewhere in the crowd using the mobile app and their credits to cut into my selection. Trash! My advice, don't pay for any music during your visit. Avoid it. You might enjoy your visit a just a bit more than I did IF you like all the other music being played - garbage selection or not. read more

In my time, such flavors could only be achieved at great cost and effort; here, they were served with casual ease. I had been hanging out there for 2 hours and had 3 drinks in when I herd another customer dropping N bombs and starting to get loud. (He was not black) not that it mattered I still would feel the same way. The bartender herd but said nothing. Ok. Amethyst's burgers are FIIIIIIIRRE!!! She always so friendly and accommodating to all customers. Try her burgers you will not be disappointed. Everything on the menu is really good. Not your typical bar food. And the bartenders are amazing. The ambience is wonderful & bars' decor is on point. The resident DJs always play great jams at night, but if you're looking for a chill time, during the day, it has a family/regulars/cheers vibe. Mondays & Wednesdays there are pool tournaments. this is/could be a great little bar. There is a band there. The place is very small and the few tables are literally right in front of the speakers so you cannot hear each other. MOST IMPORTANTLY you have to go to bar to get drink which is not a problem.. we figured that out after quite a while, while watching the bartenders drinking their own drinks behind the bar not helping anyone. Maybe this bar has a different reason for being open? it is definitely NOT to make money. we stayed for one drink and never saw a smile from anyone that worked there. maybe 20 customers were there. will not be back. such a shame, Band was Great! Their beer on tap hasn't been working for two months! Service was ok, the ambiance was quiet considering no one was there due to their maintenance problems. They were improving the stage out back.....hopefully their cooler issues are resolved by the time it's finished otherwise they will continue to serve cups with ice that is stored in a cooler under the bar. I was so happy they made it good and refreshing. The music was a mixture of different genres and the place was so chill. When I got my sandwich it was better than what I expected. Heard about this spot and gave it a try on Saturday. Bartender was super nice. Served us very well. However, I surely didnt go for drama. Within few mins of being there some sort of drama started with some girls. Not sure who they were but it got loud, seemed like one of them was going to maybe get jumped. Do managers handle this nonsense if patrons are there trying to enjoy the experience? Hopefully it all ended well but we got the heck out of there and went elsewhere.
