We stopped by on a Sunday evening to check out this speakeasy and were surprised to find they had a live DJ that night for their CREAM Sundays event. They even offer a special cocktail menu just for these evenings. None of the featured drinks seemed appealing to us, so I ordered a Lemon Drop while my husband went with an Old Fashioned. The space is intimate, cozy, and beautifully decorated with a New Mexico inspired vibe that gives it a unique touch. The bartender was super nice, and the music was great all night. It was definitely more of a lively atmosphere, so conversation was a bit difficult at times due to the volume, but we still had a wonderful time enjoying the drinks and music. Overall, it was a fun experience, and we're glad we stopped by. We'd love to come back on a non Sunday evening to experience the speakeasy in a different setting. read more

From the reviews I had really high expectation for this place. Its in the corner by Native Sons. You sign in at the podium. They dont allow any food to be brought in which is crazy because you are in a food hall. So plan accordingly. They do serve unlimited amounts of their popcorn which tasted pretty good. They have some heat to them!! This is like an Arizona or Mew Mexo themed type speakeasy. I love their decor. With the fireplace and the animal skulls and animal skins everywhere. I just love how it looked. Theres an exit to the outside patio area which is nice, since this place stays open longer than most of the shops in Haven City. Only problem is if theyre playing music outside, every time the door opens it is so loud!! Like annoyingly blow my ear drums loud. Their drinks are very southwest themed. They have a lot of drink options to choose from. We ordered their blue sky and silver cloud. Presentation looked pretty. But the drinks were not that great. I had their silver cloud which had a mango foam on top. Tasted great, till you mixed it into the drink. The drink was way to smokey. It was so smokey it was almost bitter. I get a little smoke. But it was way too much. Any notes of mango or fruit or sweetness was lost in the smoke. The blue sky looked pretty. But after having a sip of the silver cloud it killed my taste buds. I couldn't taste anything in the blue sky. After our first round of drinks we were done. Had to go home and make myself an extremely sweet drink to get my taste buds back..... its a great concept. The price point is reasonable. 16 dollars for each drink. I do love the decor. But the vibes from the outside is distracting. If your into mezcals and smokey drinks this place is for you. What a neat find at Haven City Market! Located adjacent to Native Son, Raffael's is a step into a Southwestern vibe where guests can relax with their drinks away from the lively atmosphere of HCM. One of the coolest things about a speakeasy is the transition into the space. Here, there's a walkway and corner, then turn into the candle and subtle lit space. It's a small thing? But that bit of walk helps distance the mind and feel open to the special space. There is a bar with seating, a long high top, and bench & table booth-ish type seating. The colors are warm, reminiscent of sitting in a western sunset. Music plays - jazzy, alternative, happy music. We were greeted and seated by the friendly hostess, then welcomed warmly by the magic maker himself: the bartender! And what delightfully unique, and dare I say daring, concoctions he made! The cocktails each had a spin, an ingredient, something *different* from the norm, making it challenging for my friend and I to narrow down which delights to try! Even the popcorn was unique, with chili and nutritional yeast savoriness that was the perfect complement to our cocktails. My friend felt the Silver Cloud was quite the adult version of a smoothie dessert! She got ideas...I adored my Last Word. It was refreshing with the green chartreuse and incredibly not-put-down-able. Next up, she had the Bandolier. It was a very unique taste to her, pretty puckery, so the bartender - who checked on us regularly for impressions - added a bit more pineapple. That did the trick! My next was the Boulevardier, which was uniquely and deliciously twisted with the coffee and salt. Absolute yum!!! Even though there's a 90 minute limit, on this Thursday night there was plenty of space between imbibers, and we weren't pressured in any way to move along. Thank you, as we were due for a proper catch up. One thing we did notice, is that once there were more folks chatting and laughing, it became a bit echo-y and harder to hear. On a busier night, I imagine the ambience we first experienced- quieter, mellow, chill vibe - likely changes to more robust and lively. They do not have food. It is a speakeasy cocktail bar. But let me tell you it is fabulous! We got the honor of working with the mixologist Griffin who totally outed himself with the mango foam on a drink, I let him create. We were all pleased with all of our cocktails they were well balanced well put together. Fantastic new speakeasy that opened up 8 months ago! So excited that a spot like this is in my hometown. The layout and decor was very thoughtfully planned and the service was fast and easy. I came here with a girl friend on a Saturday night with reservations for 7:30pm. The entrance is to the side of Native Son. It's easy to spot because there's a host stand in front of the door with a sign. We were told there would be a 90 minute time limit but we stayed far past that and they seemed to be fine with it as long as we continued to order drinks. The inside is dimly lit with a bit of a modern southwestern flair to it. I personally think the big window/exit door at the end takes away from the "speakeasy" vibe but not a big deal at all. We were given unlimited popcorn, which was great to snack on with our drinks. We both ordered from the menu at first and I got the Blue Sky, which I thought was too sweet for my taste. For our next rounds, we opted to do bartender's choice and our drinks came out excellently. I told him I typically like gin and that I wanted something refreshing and herbal, and I got just that! My wife and I visited this place for the first time on a Friday night. The ambiance in this place is mellow, dim, with music that fits the space. The music isn't too loud which was nice as well. My wife and I tried several drinks between the two of us. All of them were very good. The staff were friendly and personable. Be aware that you may want to use the restroom prior to entering. If you have to use the restroom while inside, you'll have to exit outside and walk back into the market space to use one. This is a bar only, so plan accordingly to eat as there are no food items to order inside. 10/10 would recommend and my wife and I were glad we stopped in. First time here after being a long time Haven house customer but also one who loves a good speakeasy! So let's first talk about speakeasies. Speakeasies, a time prohibition era. Where liquor was forbidden. It was candlelit, moody and secretive. Coming into this speak easy, I get the concept. Loved the decorative aesthetics HOWEVER, I was hoping for more of a secretive moody vibe than what I walked into. It wasn't bright but, I felt it lacked the intimacy that, I guess I was expecting, given it was a speakeasy. The candlelit adobe fireplace was def my fav! A vibe! The wall to wall mocha cabinetry felt a little "kitchen vibe" It didn't match with the delicious drinks being slayed! Bartenders are chefs kiss! Attentive, quick, efficient and delivers an esthetically pleasing drink that also taste delicious! Zero complaints there. The Guy at the front door however, seemed a little cold and unwelcoming. ( Asian guy. Idk name just dry. Not mean, not rude but dry) hostess was very sweet. Hostess sat us to our spots where popcorn and already poured water was set. To me, I personally would like to see a fresh glass poured to know water has not been sitting at the bar for lord knows how long. Idk just a weird concept. I get it, but just odd. Pop corn was good but a bit stale. They made. A fresh batch and was 100% all in. We were taken back in a timely manner and service was quick. We were checked on just the right amount of times. The staff is very accommodating and they give great recommendations. You will not be getting watered down cocktails here. Everything is crafted with unique artisanal ingredients and made STRONG. Last night my husband and I went in to Raffael's for the first time. When I asked the bartender Suki for suggestions about the non-alcoholic drinks, he laughed and said "coming into raffaels and ordering a non-alcoholic drink." He then tried to persuade me to order one with alcohol. I explained I am sober, I won't be ordering those, he continued to push the alcohol drinks on me. While we were drinking our drinks, mine without alcohol. Suki handed me a gold coin and told me to come back when I'm not longer sober and he will serve me a real drink. I told him I am an alcoholic to which he replied, "thats not my problem." I told him its disrespectful and rude to hand out coins and encourage people to break their sobriety. We visited with h a party of six and later requested to add two people to our party. We already had the large booth and could have fit four more people comfortably. The entire time we were there, there was a minimum of fifteen open seats at various size tables. Now, when the 7th and 8th members of our party arrived at the door we politely ask if they can join our party (being that we had plenty of room at our table). We were denied several times. The manager stated they had reservations coming in. We stayed for another hour and the place never filled up. So, we advised the manager that prioritizing a large paying party for the illusion of exclusivity is a poor business practice and we left.
