A real upbeat nursery showing many organic vegetables, herbs, plants, and flowers. All the arrangements are super colorful. Bear Creek is a fifteen acre farm off of Rte 195 in Howell Twp. There is everything that a gardener would want at this site. They also sell furniture. And I'm told they have yoga classes once a week. Check out the chickens in the back where you can purchase fresh eggs. You can even cut fresh flowers . And a cafe to enjoy sandwiches and a beverage. As you would expect prices are above average. It's definitely local farm-to-table ethic.

Really well curated pottery and garden products! I was tempted to buy so many of the different products they had, but had to refrain with all my strength. Afterwards, took a stroll around the farm and everything is visually appealing and they even had a live performance so it was really enjoyable drink their delicious hot apple cider and bacon maple apple cider donuts while enjoying the farm's landscaping. Highly recommend and will definitely be making another trip in the near future!

HOWELL: another NJ location that makes you feel like you're in paradise, Bear Creek Herbary, is a cute utopia of a garden center that gives much thought to the experience you have! As you walk through the grounds, the feeling is that of a park rather than a business! Dogs are allowed on the grounds and in the buildings - check out the greenhouse with pretty succulents, the barn with a lot of unique gifts (it's so pretty in here), and the cafe for some healthy snacks! Outdoors, there are many plants to admire as well as well as a two bunnies and a chicken coop! It really feels like the country!

Stumbled upon this place thanks to GPS guiding me through backroads. Though it is a hidden gem, it is surprisingly close to places you may shop frequently in town. I highly recommend you make a stop to enjoy this GORGEOUS barn style herbary. I visited in December and the decorated Xmas trees, Xmas music, scented candles, and very kind people made me want to nestle up and never leave. Everything you look at will be stunning and a feast for your eyes. I ended up purchasing a beautiful soy candle and local. honey. I will make it a point to visit every season at least! Highly recommend you go!

I always love coming here, especially during the holiday season. Their display is truly magnificent and their selection of holiday decor, ornaments, candles, and gifts are just *chef's kiss*. My boyfriend had to drag me out after a little while because you can easily spend hours browsing, and that's saying something since the space isn't THAT huge! There is a little cafe on the premises as well that is downright adorable. Be sure to walk the grounds and check out the farm animals as well! I can totally see why people host parties or get married here. The place is perfection!

Yesterday was my second time there and the second time the staff were rude and unfriendly. Would not recommend.

I also grabbed a few strawberry treats as well while I was there. All year round, Battleview has different picking seasons, so check their website for more info to see what's running. They consistently have amazingly fresh produce and if you love corn, you can't beat it. Also for sale in the country store are plenty of other fresh fruits and veggies, sauces and dressings, dips, and lots of candy too! Apple picking time is also very popular! Their pricing is also very fair for what you're getting. It's always nice to support local farms. They had a tough year already with the devastating crop damage from the freeze this past April.

I…read morewas able to get tickets on Living Social/Groupon so it only cost a total of $13.60 for two people as opposed to the regular $12.00 each person. That also included a donut and apple cider after the maze. It was very well organized and they had people directing traffic to park. They had a trailer to buy tickets or present your Groupon, 2 separate lines so it went very quickly. We were given bracelets and were directed to the maze. Before going I read it normally takes about an hour and a half to complete the maze. It was a cool night and many people were arriving to enjoy the maze. We walked around and around for quite a while which is the whole idea. There were some muddy patches since it rained a little in the morning so after I slid in the mud one time I was more careful about where I was stepping. I felt like we were walking in circles and there are no clues or hints to direct you and unfortunately some people pulled down the tapes that mark off the paths so that made it more confusing. After about an hour and a half I was ready to get out of there. Unfortunately we never found the exit but instead made our way back to the entrance. We collected our donuts and cider and called it a night... Not a bad evening and a nice change from the dinner and a movie routine. I just think I'm better suited for the day time maze next time. Staff was very nice and friendly definitely recommend.

We went on a Tuesday morning, and from the moment we pulled in, it was a great experience. When you arrive, they ask how many bags you want, give you big plastic bags, and then you're off to pick your own produce. We decided to pick collard greens, turnip greens, mustard greens, sweet potatoes, and a few peppers. Some items were out of season, so we bought those inside the market instead. Inside, we grabbed garlic, tomatoes, scallions, apples, onions, and a bottle of peach cider which I highly recommend! Everything was fresh and flavorful. The workers were all friendly, helpful, and welcoming. You can drive around the farm, park your car to the side, and pick whatever you need. When you're done, you stop at the booth, unload your items to be weighed, and pay there. They accept both cash and all major credit cards. A few tips: wear old clothes and shoes, and definitely don't get your car washed before going because everything gets dusty! I also saw a few people using scissors or knives to cut their vegetables, which is a smart idea, though we picked ours by hand. After getting home, cleaning everything, and cooking up the greens for dinner, I have to say they were the best greens I've ever had in my life. Farm-to-table food truly hits different. The prices were very fair and much cheaper than the supermarket & the quality was unbeatable. I highly recommend visiting this farm for some fresh, nutritious produce to feed your family.
