A sense of soft elegance came over the room. Pat was there for every step, every detail right down to the food. Every guest commented on how wonderful the food was. The appetizers could have been your meal. The entries were beyond delicious, creamy, flavorful and tender. A big shout out to the wait staff Ashley and Dawn who were on their A game. From the beginning, Pat, the banquet manager, was so helpful, kind, and accommodating. The day of they had everything perfectly prepared for our reception. All of the staff was professional, and friendly. The food was fantastic! I received so many compliments, and this crowd was not easy to please when it comes to food. The atmosphere and the sunset are beautiful for any occasion big or small. I highly recommend! You will not be disappointed.

The weather was great..even with the complimentary downpour day to let the skin come off sizzle mode..just perfect. We were a large family group... family coming in from NY, NM, Ca and Germany. We pushed the limits in space but with the backyard patio area, rooftop hot tub soaking deck (special accolades to that), the ocean so close and so many places you could walk, bike, paddle to we never at all came to in your face situations... which we all know with family is usually inevitable. We wanted to do something special for our Mom (Omi) for her birthday so we took Mary Ann and Tom's referral and hired the caterer that they suggested... we did a luau theme and they came to the house with the pig roast complete with Hawaiian veges and salads. I for one was amazed that we actually surprised her but I do believe we really pulled it off. We were initially hesitant to rent because of landowners sharing the same house..but we started our search late and there weren't many options to accommodate our large group so we took the chance. Couldn't have been any farther from the fears we had to reality. Always friendly and helpful.. never intrusive or controlling. By the time we left it felt like we were leaving old friends.... the hot donuts Mary Ann brought us from an old time LBI donut shop, the morning before we left sealed the deal! Our family grew up summers in LBI..staying with friends that owned and/or our family renting for weeks at a time. I think I can speak for our family in saying we came home that week. A wonderful magical place in our memories. Lucky me got to share it with my granddaughter while my Mom (Omi) is still with us and oh so big a center of our family. 4 generations of LBI addicts.... what better place to enjoy family!

A/C window unit was a little noisy but did the job even in 90+ weather. Breakfasts were excellent with options for side dishes. Good location one block from the beach on a quiet street. The wrap-around porch has plenty of seating and is a lovely setting for breakfast. The dining room is rather charmless but large with plenty of seating. Coffee and iced tea available all day. The only bummer was the umbrella. Pro tip: Do not pay $15 to rent an umbrella for a day. The umbrella was poor quality with plastic ribs that collapsed in the wind. We couldn't use it - had to take it down. But the manager refused a refund. The response was, "It was a windy day." Yes, it was a windy day. There are a lot of windy days at the beach. And on this particular windy day everybody else's umbrellas were standing up just fine. None of them were collapsed to half the size like this one.

Swans and ducks in the lake made for a picture perfect wedding! We were able to help ourselves to hit apple cider and other beverages to enjoy during the ceremony. The service was friendly and polite and ohhhh the food!!!! Appetizers like sushi-cheese sticks-raw oyster bar- Mexican station- Mediterranean Station, Fruit Station and my fave- the bacon station!! The bacon station featured delicious bacon Mac n cheese- chocolate dipped bacon , candied bacon, bacon wrapped dates and bacon wrapped scallops! We started with the bread, a focaccia, which was served with an olive oil that had a large roasted garlic in it. It was a delicious starter, and complimented our Caesar salad. The Caesar salad was 'different' - aren't they all? I've been experiencing very different types - the one tonight had a subtle dressing - with a subdued sweetness. The grated Parmesan and Breadcrumbs smothered the salad - when you see the picture, you'll understand. It was a good salad, however I would have preferred less grating and more dressing. Next up, the Waygu Meatballs, in a delicious San Marzano tomato sauce. The meatballs were excellent. I was mystified by the accompanying 'jar' of 'basil' ricotta. See attached picture-it's a large amount of ricotta - I tasted it - it was very creamy but the basil was faintly noticeable. I added a little to a meatball and it didn't enhance the 'bite' at all. I was embarrassed leaving this large jar of cheese. We shared the two entrees - the first, Sea Bass on a bed of mashed potatoes was cooked perfectly and had the most delicate taste. It was 'too delicate', if there is such a thing as- for they say, ' good fish, doesn't taste like fish '. However, the fish needed seasoning or sauce - one or the other, or both. The next entree was the mushroom house made ravioli - a tender pasta with a mushroom filling covered in a creamy, earthy mushroom sauce. We also ordered a side of sautéed wild mushrooms and added those to the ravioli - it was a wonderful dish.

Working with John Nagle on just one or two quick phone calls or emails was a true pleasure. There are so many things to think about when a family member passes away but John made this so easy that the hardest choice was the color of the napkins on the table. Unlike a wedding or a shower, a memorial does not allow much time for planning and the amount of attendees is somewhat variable. John was very flexible and understanding in this regard. The venue is very pretty, the wait staff and bar staff were extremely professional and accommodating and the food was outstanding! We look forward to hosting another event here, hopefully a happy occasion!

Arrow Acres is a great family run business in Wall, New Jersey. They have approximately 35…read morealpacas including some prize winners! I took my niece there on a beautiful Saturday morning so she could meet the alpacas! She has Down Syndrome and was a little afraid of them, but Mr. Don helped her feel comfortable and she was able to feed them some baby carrots! There is a cute gift shop where you can purchase lots of cool stuff including local honey and scarves handmade from alpaca yarn by Mr. Don's daughters. It's a nice place to visit! My niece loved it and we then went for lunch making it a great memory!
