First time here. Luckily we were already in the area and I just decided I needed a cut. The guys there are wonderful!! First off, they know their shit and are cool as fuck! Second, I loved my fade (by Alex) and my spouse loved his (Frank), which doesn't happen often!! Can't remember the guy eating his lunch was also a wonderful person and it was great to chat and shoot the shit. We felt very welcomed. No prejudice what so ever. We were welcomed as we are. We plan to go back this month, maybe sooner than later. Their place has a chill atmosphere. They have candy on the table to take; I assumed. Barber tried to fight me while I was getting a haircut by the owner I have been getting haircuts from the owner, Mario, for a little over a year. This other barber, Eric, came along months into the time I started going to the Hidden Barber. I have never had any issues with either barber, but the last time I came (5/6), I was just going about my usual conversations with Mario when Eric began to threaten me and try to fight me. Eric was instigating that I was "talking tough" (we were talking about our plans for Mothers Day weekend) and proceeded to insult me for the next 10-15 minutes. Eric the entire time was hurling insults at me, saying how this is "his shop" (it's not his shop), and that I should call the cops if I had a problem. During this whole time, he had his shirt taken off wanting to get me to go outside to fight. I even tried to ask him what I said that offended him, but he would not answer. Both Mario and I were taken back by his behavior as we both were just talking about our weekend plans and catching up, as per our usual conversations when I come in to the shop. During the times I visited the shop, Eric would be present as well. I'm not sure what set him off this time around, but there should be no reason why he acted the way he did. What was really disappointing is that the whole time Eric had this episode, Mario (the owner) was not bringing order to his shop. As Eric was threatening me and disrespecting me, Mario would not say anything to Eric and would just tell me to ignore him. Even after the whole situation when I paid, Mario did not really apologize for his associate's conduct and gave no resolution for Eric's highly unprofessional and disrespectful behavior. It's disappointing that I have to write this review as I had a really good experience being Mario's client at this location. However, Eric's conduct is by far the worst barber shop experience I have ever had, and I would never want anyone to have this experience when receiving a service. I would not recommend having this person in a position to serve clients, let alone hold a pair of scissors to cut hair. read more

Unfortunately this was one of my most unpleasant experience at a barbershop. I got insulted and felt extremely uncomfortable after paying $40 haircut. The barber kept on using a bad razor that kept on hurting my neck, when I mentioned that to him. He responded "we use the best products in the market, it's you who got a problem with it" I said maybe I am sensitive to the tools. After he placed a product on my hair, I said unfortunately I don't like a product since it's not good for my hair type, he responded "you can wash it later" Another 5 min passed he said "we open up just for idiots like you to come and give them haircuts" I thought I misheard him. I asked again "what?" He said it again, "we open this shop just to have idiots like you come and get their hair cut, I am waiting here cutting your hair instead of being with my wife and kids" So much negative energy to absorb, I don't have to deal with this when I come to receive a service. What kind of customer service is that? I don't want to hurt this business but the owner must have an idea who he's hiring. I would never recommend this place, I got insulted and humiliated. The worst haircut in 10 years. Eric didn't listen to what I request. I kindly asked him to make adjustments and he refused. His response was, "I can't do that." It would be good if he took to heart the idea that 'the client is always right.' It's shocking to see that someone like Eric is serving customers. Big ego, little regard for people. He told me to go to Floyds. Huh? Really? Fortunately, Mario stepped in and corrected what Eric did (which surprisingly annoyed Eric).
