    Entrance from parking lot.

We tried having our retired threesome lunch gathering here about 18 months ago but were unable to find parking spaces as a golf tournament was in full swing. No problem parking on this visit in January. The dining and bar area had maybe four other parties when we arrived at 1 p.m. We probably didn't need to have made a reservation, but it was better to have been safe than disappointed. The bartender was assigned to serve our table and informed us of three delicious sounding soups that were available - Italian Wedding, French Onion, and the third that none of us tried. Instead, water, Cola ($3), and a winter warming Chatham - Oh Snaps! ($8) were our appetizers. The Oh Snaps brown ale was smooth and flavorful with its addition of cinnamon and ginger. My Smash Burger ($16.99) was served on a fresh bun with two patties, American cheese, sauteed onions, lettuce, tomato, and their house "birdie sauce." I opted to upgrade my side to onion rings for $3. I was not asked how I wanted my burgers cooked and they came out medium by my judgement. Overall, the combination of all the flavors was good. The onion rings appeared to be made inhouse and were tasty. My fellow diners were very pleased with their Club sandwich ($16.99) and Fried Chicken Sandwich ($16.99). Portions were large enough that each of my friends brought half of their lunch home. There is a nice view through the glass doors leading to the raised deck overlooking the golf course. Service was pleasant and efficient.

Pretty nice restaurant for golf course halfway stop. I had the special black bean Patti on top of salad. The dressing was awesome!

After a day at the horse races, I stopped by The Hideaway with my family for a late dinner. My husband and I shared the French Onion soup and both liked it. I ended up ordering the Turkey Club with sweet potato fries for my dinner. The sandwich was delicious and huge - I managed to eat a quarter of my meal. Additionally, our waitress was super friendly and attentive throughout our visit. My family and I would definitely revisit next year after the races.

Last night I had the pleasure of attending a Coursed Paired Beer Dinner with Founders Brewing Co at The Hideaway. Let me start by saying, next time they host one of these, get your tickets! One of the owners Chad was so welcoming and friendly, I would never hesitate to return. This is an awesome place. It was an absolutely fantastic night filled with deliciously crafted plates, that were perfectly paired with the accompanying beers from Founders Brewing Co. The portions were also great and much more than I expected! This was a six course meal, paired with 8oz pours of the accompanying beers. I added the menus to the photos in case you need more details! The meal was started with an individually skewered play on charcuterie and it was paired with a dark ale. I really enjoyed all the elements on the plate, and the surprise was the raspberry compote and reduction on the plate. It gave a sweet and bitter balance to the salty meats and cheese. It was beautiful to enjoy all those flavors together. The following plate was a gazpacho served with a cheese crisp. The crisp added great saltiness to the soup. The soup itself was very similar to a salsa, however *disclaimer* I have never had gazpacho so I can not compare it to anything else. This was paired with a light pale ale. My favorite course of the night was the appetizer shrimp Napoleon. To my surprise, the chef had never tasted the beer pairing prior, but absolutely nailed it. This was paired with an IPA and it was a match made in heaven. The dish was layered cilantro cream cheese, pico, avocado and shrimp served with fresh tortilla chips. I'm sure you can imagine that it was fabulous, and trust me it was. It was so balanced and every sip of the pairing between bites really made it. After this dish, an intermission course of sorbet was served (fancy af). It was such a refreshing treat which mimicked the flavors of the paired fruity beer. The entree was a play on fajitas with a Cornish game hen. It was a great portion, individually all the flavors were great but when I made a taco with the fresh tortilla, crema, peppers and onions, rice and beans, cheese, wow. It was such a great balance of flavors. This was paired with a margarita style beer AND a margarita made with the beer. I'm a complete lush and totally loved this. The meal finished with a chocolate stout and a s'mores dessert. They even made the marshmallow from scratch!! The dish had a great salty touch to balance out the sweetness and a sip of the beer pairing in between bites completed the dish. Fabulous. So, all I'm saying is, I better see you at the next paired dinner.

    Corn that they pre-buttered. Yum!

This year our oven broke so we decided to order our Thanksgiving Dinner from The Hideaway. Wow what a tremendous experience and meal! Absolutely delicious, totally affordable ( $54.00!!!!!)and so easy! Zero dishes!

The Ultimate Bloody Mary!! Absolutely amazing!

Ambiance was nice, quiet, waitstaff very friendly but slow especially since there wasn't really anyone there. Corned beef hash was terrible compared to when I was here a little over a year ago! Corned beef was left Stringy, over cooked very bland, no onions & two or three little pieces of smashed potato for $7 as a side order ! French toast was delicious accept they only gave one tiny cup of syrup! (Put the bottle back on the table like the ketchup & hot sauce or offer the bottle)! Ultimate Bloody Mary did not disappoint! Steak was under seasoned and a little over cooked. Over easy eggs were brown on the underside so obviously the pan was too hot! I never mind paying good money for QUALITY food The Hideaway reputation & food quality is slipping!

    NY strip!

A nice place for a meal. Live music was playing the background and the service was very quick! The appetizers were very good and the NY strip was excellent! A little loud in the restaurant where we sat. The deck outside was very nice

I ordered a meal for pickup. The location is absolutely amazing the views from the top of the mountain is awesome. The restaurant is very open and cozy. I ordered the Pot Roast with mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables. The pot roast was tender and braised perfectly and topped with gravy. The roasted vegetables were great they were roasted just well. The vegetables were still crisp and had a perfect smoked taste. I would like to go back for dinner in the spring when I can sit outdoors. There was ample parking space and the parking lot was close to the restaurant.

Surprised that we never found this " hidden gem" for so long. It's a restaurant at the Saratoga golf course, about 15 minutes from the heart of Saratoga Springs. There is a beautiful deck that overlooks the golf course and offers a beautiful view of the sunset. That is the highlight! It's a beautiful spot. That said, the food is good, decent portions and service is good. First time I went, there was an issue with one of the servers/ hostess. There was no table available outside and we asked how long it would be. She refused to tell us how long the wait would be for the outside deck, and essentially ignored us after that. We decided to sit at the bar, have a drink and wait a while. Bartender was very nice, friendly and helpful as was the rest of the staff afterward. Cocktails were excellent! Turns out a table was available outside in about 15 minutes, which worked out perfectly. ( we had no reservations and were fine with waiting). Next time we did make reservations ,and enjoyed another lovely meal outside. It was a busy night, service was a little slow, however, staff was very apologetic , and tried very hard to accommodate. I think they Did a good job, and understand how tough it can be. This restaurant is definitely off the beaten path, but worth the trip. Go for the view and stay for the food.

View from the dining room overlooking the deck and golf course.

I also got Cajun seasoning french fries with blue cheese sauce and ranch sauce on the side. I asked for my fries well done as well because for some reason the Internet was recommending that so I tried it. All in all the food was pretty good but we wouldn't go out of our way too eat there again. They had four seats inside and a little counter facing the window out to the parking lot. Recently, I placed an online pickup order directly through the Wingstop app and ordered the Sweet BBQ Blaze Chicken Sandwich Combo with fries and 20 oz fountain drink. My order was bagged and all set in about 22 minutes after ordering, just enough time to drive from Speigletown to Sycaway with heavy fair traffic. My drink cup was filled up with ice cold Coca Cola as I grabbed my food. I ate my food outside. The fries were a bit soft, but tasted pretty good dipping into the cup of ranch dressing. The chicken sandwich smothered in sweet bbq blaze sauce & topped with pickles on a soft bun was pretty good. The iced cold Coca Cola fountain drink was carbonated properly and not flat, like at another Wingstop in NH (03102), where I get DoorDash from near my home.

I've heard mixed reviews of the food here, so I decided to stop by to check it out! The place was quite busy here with minimal standing room in front of the counter. I ordered the smallest pizza offered, a 6 Cut/12" Round Deluxe Pizza ($18 plus tax), which was all set in 15 minutes after ordering. This pizza was topped with red sauce, pepperoni, sausage, green peppers, onions, & mushrooms, melted mozzarella cheese on top of a firm crust with thick round edges with a light dough texture. The pizza tasted pretty good, though the toppings slid off my first slice, fresh hot out of the oven. Was it a mistake to order their spiciest wings on my first visit? Would the price I paid for the combo meal justify the quantity and my satisfaction with it? Do the patrons REALLY watch those music videos? Well, it's definitely all about the chicken here. That first bite of a boneless wing with the Spicy Galbi was indeed a taste-bud-awakener, but after that it was all flavor and the right level of crispness. I definitely wanted more. The fries were interesting. They were nicely crisp, and they were lightly covered with some kind of coating that was both subtly spicy and subtly sweet. They were certainly fine, but I'll explore other sides on future visits like the cole slaw and the pickled radishes. The price for a combo, $13.99 plus tax and tip extra... well ... since I'm really here for the chicken, maybe next time I'll just order a big batch of wings and do something else instead of (the starchy) sides. Those music videos... today they were all from a K-pop girl group known as aespa, evidently quite successful internationally. Clearly I am not their target audience. But as background music, it was pleasant enough. Since it's roughly 15 minutes from my house to here, ordering in advance seems like the way to go. It is indeed worth it for the chicken.

Unfortunately, what I got was not an elevated experience. We chose this hotel because it was newer, had amenities, and seemed elevated. At check in, we were told we are required to pay $30/day for an amenity fee. Okay got it, this place maybe has some elevated amenities. The key amenity we were looking forward to enjoying was the sauna. After changing and going down to the sauna the next day, we learned it was out of order, and was not going to be working for the rest of our stay. We spoke to the front desk to see what the hotel could do (cover the cost of using an off-site sauna, offer a partial refund, etc), but the front desk said all they could do was take a note for the manager. After not hearing from the manager the next day, we went back to the front desk to a different worker, and got the same response. "We can't do anything, all we can do is let the manager know". Days have gone by and I still have not heard from the manager, despite follow ups. The whole stay wasn't bad, but we were paying $110 per night over an equivalent Marriot property for amenities that were out of order, and in one case "out of stock".
