The High Lift hasn't been around all that long, but it's quickly become one of my favorites! It's my "office-away-from-my-office" with your typical coffee-shop vibes. Sometimes I'll be wearing headphones in the zone, other times I'm content to listen to the music playing in the shop. The baristas are friendly, and the owner also has a great little summer ice cream shop (i.e. Scream N Conuts) just down the road. Happy this place exists--T'rivers needed it!!

Very friendly service and staff. Matcha teas are super tasty and not overly pricey. Have highl speed internet connection as well.

Ambience and Experience: This little coffee shop is located in what used to be an old auto mechanic…read moreshop. They have done a great job of flipping the space. Retro wallpaper and vibe give this place unique and quirky charm while the two glass garage doors open up to provide for an decently sized (and relaxingly breezy) space. Employees were super friendly and chatty (in a good way), they shared some insights and tips about exploring the town while I waited for my coffee. Super helpful and welcoming while also being down to Earth. Drinks: We mostly came here for coffee and to chill for a bit. They offered coffee flights here so my wife was sold to stop and try them. We like flights because you get to sample more of the menu without committing to just one thing. After the flights, I did also try a separate flavored latte off of the menu has well. The lattes were not too sweet and the flavor profiles fit the espresso base without overpowering the coffee flavors. My favorite out of all of them were the Huckleberry Latte and the Black Sesame Foam Latte (The Goth I think is what they called it). Fun little shop to stop and grab a drink and bite to eat. Bonus - they are only 1/2 mile away from Lake Michigan and a local park. Park and grab a drink to go and explore the beach!

It has a great atmosphere. It has plenty of places to sit and relax. The coffee is amazing! I got a White Chocolate Raspberry Latte which was great! They had plenty of different options for coffee and food. The grilled cheese was pretty tasty. As for the service, the people are great and super friendly! I highly recommend checking this place out! My family and I stopped here on our trip home from the UP to Chicago. It's a bit off the highway,…read morebut we were so glad we stopped by. This coffee shop was amazing. The address is a bit misleading, because you enter the coffee shop from 19th St, but it's accessible from 18th, just not as easily. I almost didn't even go in because the building is so nondescript, it didn't seem like there'd be a beautiful coffee shop inside. The beverage menu was extensive, and the coffee/food we got were absolutely delicious. Everyone on the staff there was super helpful and so nice. They were so accommodating to me and my family. The lobby area was beautiful and comfortable. They had comfy leather chairs, plenty of table space, and even a couple of long high top tables with wireless chargers and charging cables available for almost any device you need. I also really enjoyed the tree inside. We will be stopping by here again, for sure, it was worth every minute off track.
