Great little cafe and coffeeshop close to the marina. You can either stop and and grab a table for breakfast or just order an espresso drink to go. We just grabbed drinks to sip on while walking the waterfront. The hot drinks brought relief from the fall air's nip. Fun, unique flavors such as Banana Fluffernutter will interest the more adventurous while a tried and true Caramel Macchiato will please those who enjoy more simple flavor profiles. Prices are good and service is friendly and fast! read more

I used to love this place, but my recent experience was incredibly disappointing. We waited an hour and 15 minutes for our breakfast, only for the waitress to forget half our order. Instead of addressing the issue, she suggested we "lighten the mood" and pretend we were enjoying a five-course meal. We arrived at 9:00 AM and didn't leave until 10:40 AM! The service has clearly gone downhill, and I can't recommend this place anymore. If you're looking for a spot to sit for over an hour just for breakfast, this is it! read more

Over all had a really great time. Food was delicious and so was the coffee. Was a little overwhelmed by the flavor selections at first, but then got to try a flavor I didn't think would be in a coffee! The service was great! Great place to stop if you are waiting to catch the SS Badger ferry. The coffee was very good--huge cups! I had a medium, I cannot imagine the large. I had the five cheese sandwich on rye. Good coffee, great selection. I had a egg, sausage, and cheese croissant while my husband had the ham, egg, and cheese croissant. The sandwiches came with apples slices which was a nice surprise. We honestly could've shared one sandwich with the portion size. Our 7 year old had a vanilla frappe-chino sans the caffeinated coffee. One thing I noticed was no employees wearing masks. While we wore masks hardly anyone inside did. It must be a local thing as we are from the Milwaukee area visiting and are just accustomed to wearing one entering establishments at this point. When I went inside after eating outside to return our plates I did see some other patrons wearing masks waiting inside. There were signs posted on tables stating whether they were sanitized or not as well as patrons socially distancing. This family owned business in downtown Manitowoc has several flavors of coffee available "on tap", lattes and cappuccino in addition to a variety of tea. There is a reward program for a free drink after your 10th purchase. Service leaves something to be desired but that's only based on a phone call pick up order. I think the girl who took my order was just a little incompetent. On the phone, I mentioned the pick up time to be as soon as possible. When I arrived 20 minutes later to pick up 4 sandwiches and coffees, I noticed nothing was ready (she literally started blending smoothies as I arrived.) I asked if they would at least run my card to save time and she didn't seem to understand that either. They did expedite the process once I arrived, so I guess 2/5 for that? The food was good. Croissant was light, airy yet buttery. Eggs were cooked well and not greasy. Smoothies were way too sweet and didn't seem fresh. They put whipped cream on them which I thought was so weird. Coffee was fine, nothing spectacular. Overall, I'd probably return just given minimal choices in Manitowoc. It's not awesome, it's not awful. read more

Manitowoc Coffee is not what it used to be. It was a coffee shop before, but I believe it's become a local diner now. Which isn't a bad thing but it's definitely not a coffee shop where you normally find peace and quite. The food is good, the service is great and the coffee is good but it's no longer a coffee shop. read more

Honestly the coffee is always really good but I order and egg and cheese sandwich which took 20 mins to make... the coffee shop wasn't even busy. I really try to give this place the benefit of the doubt but honestly every time I come here either my order is messed up or they forget something. read more

Just a quick update. There seems to be more variety these days. The gal who waited on us was really nice. The food is really good. I think they offer a breakfast buffet on Sunday mornings. The Bigelow tea is a thing of the past. The Earl grey they serve now is top of the line. Good WiFi and a place to loll. Cruise the web and kick back. read more

This little gem is outstanding! It was recommended by Paul and Ryan from Petskull Brewing. What a surprise, lovely hospitality with great table side service from Teri. I had a latte and my girlfriend had a Carmel Macchiato. Wow, hot and so full of flavor. The bacon egg and cheese and sausage egg and cheese breakfast sandwiches were a taste of home cooking! My mom and I stopped in and were ignored by 3 staff as we patiently waited. No greeting, only a stare from a server, and total non-acknowledgement from another server. Yes they seemed busy. But all they had to say was, "be right with you" or, "have a seat anywhere." After 10 minutes of being ignored e-bike standing there, we gave up. read more

Yesterday was my first time here ever. All I have to say is it was a great experience! Came back today as well! I got an iced latte which was amazing and I also ordered a sausage egg and cheese sandwich on a croissant. The croissant was absolutely amazing. Visiting a friend and he suggested meeting here. What a neat little coffee shop. It must be a popular local spot as it was pretty busy for a Monday morning around 9am. The space is jam packed with tables and chairs, but still a good place to meet up and chat with someone. What's nice is they have some table and chairs in the hallway between them and Ivy Trails gift store. They also have a bigger room in the back that is made for groups of people that need to meet and have some privacy. The staff was very friendly, and my Earl Gray Tea hit the spot! Besides coffee and tea, they serve sandwiches and burgers. What surprised me was that I learned they've been around since 2017 and are located by another coffee shop which I was told is also very good. It's good to hear that the Manitowoc community is supportive of their local coffees shops. read more

My absolute favorite local cafe. Delicious and fresh bakery treats perfectly compliment the coffee. There's a whole sheet of interesting and classic syrup flavors, as well as classic and exciting different types of hot and cold drinks. Decor and atmosphere reminds me of the type in movies, and everywhere in the cafe is a good place to sit, and equally beautiful. I'll never not come here whenever I'm in the mood for coffee. read more

Average in quality and taste of food and beverage. Had coffee and some breakfast items. The food needs to be given a little uuuummmmffff to get it up to something you may crave again and again. I love local coffee hangouts and this has ample room and space and a ton of great tables to sit at with a friend or partner and talk or play a game or all alone and read a book or work on your computer. Every spring my husband and I take a trip up to Manitowoc, and I insist on stopping in here each time. This is a locally owned coffee shop, with a laid-back, relaxing atmosphere. Usually I order something off the menu, but every so often I get an urge to order something more specialized (a la Starbucks) and I've never had an issue with them making it. Staff is always friendly and will recommend menu items and daily specials. Prices are very reasonable. We'll plan on stopping here again and again. read more

Between the nice and relaxing coffee shop ambiance, and the friendly staff, it is hard not to enjoy this place. Today I had their club sandwich and while it wasn't the fanciest or prettiest club sandwich I've ever eaten, it was certainly good and reasonably priced. It is always good to see a coffee shop like this that offers a little variety (e.g. smoothies, baked goods, soups and sandwiches). It appears that they get a good number of regular or repeat customers, so they must be doing something right. We left feeling delighted and look forward to a future visit. read more

I'm torn on this place. LOVE the location and the windows on the street. LIKE the drink selection. I am not crazy about how the rest of the place feels like you are sitting in a family living room that has three toddlers. Toys, mix match decor, untidy piles. I don't go here often because of these things, it's hard to relax when there is confusing lighting and space. read more

Today as I was passing through town I decided to stop by and try a drink from Manitowoc Coffee, I wasn't exactly sure what I wanted but the two smiling girls behind the counter where able to recommend a few drinks to me, all sounding absolutely delicious, before I decided on a "honey nut macchiato" Now let me start by saying not only did this drink look beautiful, it tasted even better! The amazing drink wasn't the only think I loved though, I really enjoyed the whole atmosphere, I sipped my drink in front of the fire place and used their wifi, before having to dart off. I wish I could have stayed longer, and tried the other drinks they recommended, but I will for sure be back soon read more

I don't mind old furniture, but each time the beds were horrible (bouncy and springy, with no support). Beds had to be from the 70s like everything else! I paid $180 a night without the ability to sleep. I was hoping the first time was a fluke and that is why we stayed a second time. If running a hotel and want to make money with return visits, you would think you would invest in good bedding. With that said, the hotel was packed with Packers fans. I guess they don't care as long as they are booking rooms. The hallways smelled musty. Food was good tasting, but took forever for order to be taken and served. They are way under staffed. We waited in bar for 20 min for a drink and the bartender never showed up. They lost $ due to no service.

Just the good stuff lots of pasta salad options, all properly kept chilled in a deep ice trough. Hot food consisted of breakfast items like ham, sausage links, mini cheese omelets, French toast sticks, scrambled eggs. Lunch based items included meatballs and gravy, fried chicken, beef tips, mashed potatoes, peel and eat shrimp, fried fish, corn, etc. Dessert was a large pumpkin spice sheet cake, the ice cream machine, and kneecaps (Google if you don't know! Delicious!) French toast sticks reminded me of my childhood, while my husband ate his weight in shrimp. My grandparents got a senior discount, and we all walked away more than full. Service was good, items were refilled promptly, plates removed quickly. Could the decor be updated? Of course. Would it lose its charm if it was? Absolutely.

Some of the best around-it gets pretty busy on Friday nights though so there might be a very small wait (longest I ever witnessed was 20 minutes and it was a group of 6 of us). Theresa is great. The condo itself was decent--nothing too fancy, but clean and comfortable enough for a family trip. What really stood out, though, was the helpfulness of the guest services. They were quick to answer questions and made check-in and any requests super easy. There are a ton of games available on-site. We also appreciated the easy towel exchange system--something small, but really convenient when you're traveling with a family. One of the highlights for me was the gym located in the hotel just two parking lots over. It's a full facility and open to guests, which was great. I ended up chatting with a few locals there in the morning, and they couldn't have been friendlier--gave us great tips on what to do in the area and where to eat. If you're a golfer, the courses are amazing and well kept. All in all, this place served our needs well. It's not a luxury resort, but if you're in town for a tournament or just need a place with solid amenities and friendly service, it's definitely a good choice.

We asked the workers if they could put out some more food and they said no. So we didn't eat anything on Fri night because they have no other food options available onsite. Also they closed the bar down early on Sat night and asked all the remaining customers to leave at 1030p. I think the workers just wanted to go home early. Note they charged me $14 for a beers at the bar, way overpriced. Their golf course was a 5 hr round of golf on Fri. I think what they charge for the stay and play package is definitely overpriced.
