Some of the best lobster I've had in Portland. It's a very chill, retro vibe, and though seating may take a while on busy nights, you can also order takeout (and merch) from the left-side area. The restaurant is larger than it looks since there's a second seating area too. I'd recommend the Flight of mini lobster rolls (3x 2oz lobster rolls), which can be chilled or warmed. Prices are fair, at about $20 a lobster roll. Their ghee butter add another level to their lobster rolls and they don't skimp on meat! However, the table ended up taking just 30 minutes, so if you really want a table, I would say it could be worth waiting. Came here with a group of 6 on a weekend. We waited about 40 minutes to be seated. We were sat outside and it seemed very busy. You can either order online from the QR code or order with the wait staff. We decided to order on the QR code. We had the seafood tower and the lobster bisque. This review is coming from someone who has never had a lobster roll before. I got the full size with the lime and jalapeño sauces and it was delicious. They are generous with the lobster and the sauce. I placed a takeout order online but you can also eat there but be prepared for a wait. Street parking in the area can be hit or miss (we went on a Sunday so we found free parking about a 4 minute walk to the restaurant). I recommend giving this place a try. read more

While in town for work, I ended up visiting here twice. I had the lobster roll both times, first time the flight and then just butter the second time (my personal favorite, warmed too). This place was definitely very busy when I came on the weekend, but wasn't too bad for a later lunch on a week day. Service was great even when they were busy. I don't even know how big the restaurant was because I sat in the same part both times, but it seems pretty big and has an outdoor section in rhe back. Highroller Lobster Co. was an awesome stop on our Portland trip. We got there around noon on Sunday or Labor Day weekend, and only had to wait a few minutes for a back patio table to open. They were super friendly and accommodating of our chocolate lab who joined us for lunch. They do counter-style ordering and if you're sitting you can do that or order online with a QR code. The food came out quickly and all of the staff were super friendly. We started off with some great drinks -- a pina colada and an Arnold Palmer (yum!). But on to the serious stuff -- the food. We ordered one 3-roll, 2 ounce lobster roll flight, another 2 ounce roll, a hot dog, a veggie hot dog, and a basket of fries. For the lobster rolls, we tried toppings of mango habanero (delicious, spicy), red pepper mayo (probably the best flavor sauce we got in my opinion), jalapeño and lime mayo together (really good but could have gone lighter on the sauce), and warm butter (great, no complaints). Their rolls are a must-try, with so many cool sauce options to choose from. The hot dog was ordered with mustard on it. Flavor was great but just a warning, it's bright pink on the outside from a dyed casing, if you're not familiar! The roll was toasted perfectly. The veggie dog is Field Roast brand which I love and I got it with sweet relish and curried ketchup (yum yum yum). Also a great roll, a little big for the size of the hot dog but no complaints from me on extra bread. The hot dogs came in baskets and they were stabilized on either side with small condiment cups between the bun and the basket which was cool. While visiting the cute little town square in Portland, Maine we stopped for lunch at Highroller Lobster. I had a couple of lobster rolls in the past but I just wasn't impressed. However being that close to Maine lobster, I had to indulge. Our server was very helpful in guiding me to the best way to have it. Yet, when I ordered it on the digital menu (you put your order in at your table and they bring the food) I forgot to select Connecticut style (warmed lobster) and thus I was served cold lobster in a warm buttery bread...... The younger guys running food and guys standing around chatting with each other weren't helpful. They saw my friends water cups were low but didnt offer any refills.
