Loved every minute of it!!! The tour guide had so much information. It was great that it took us through the silos and actually discussed how much Buffalo is changing. I enjoyed that drinks could be bought on the boat. Even though it was a historic tour it wasn't boring at all. It was very interesting and kept me looking and paying attention. I would suggest it for everyone.

Here on Sunday afternoon with friends for a educational trip on the river, what a beautiful day. Arrived a little early and I was able to take in a little of the boat and car show as a added bonus. This historic boat tour is definately worth the addmission for locals and tourists alike. The trip down the river through silo city was perfectly narrated teaching us all about the grain mills that were once the most productive in the country. I didn't even realize that more than General Mills were still in use. I can't share everything on the tour with you or you might not go. The season will soon be coming to an end, so get down to the waterfront and take in the history and beauty of it all! Rich the captain and his family do a great job of representing Buffalo!

This was hands down among the top 3 places we've ever stayed while on vacation and one of the best places we've had breakfast. Holly and Daniel have not only renovated and furnished a historic home themselves, but offer a hospitable experience with beautiful bedrooms and sitting areas as well as wonderful food. No detail is spared. If you're needing a place to stay in Buffalo, or just want to get away, look no further, Buffalo Harmony House is here! My toddler, husband, and I stayed here while in town for a wedding downtown. This location was a 5-minute drive from the wedding venue. We opted to stay here instead of a mainstream hotel because we knew this place would be clean. We weren't expecting such a well-put-together home and such amazing food, service, and hospitality. The photos really don't do it justice. I wish I took some of our room and the sitting areas, but only remembered to photograph the food. They have a piano, which my son and I loved to play. They pick their own fruits from local farms, and freeze them, so no matter what, you get the freshest, tastiest pastries during your 4-course breakfast. They also have a rooftop garden to grow their own vegetables. I believe they make essentially everything from scratch. Their whipped cream was decadent, and nothing was too rich, all was perfectly flavorful. They allow you to select sweet vs. savory as well. My husband got savory and I got sweet, so we both got to try the best of both! They made everything gluten free just for us since my husband can't have gluten. I couldn't tell that it was gluten free, which was wonderful (anyone who know what it's like only eating gluten free will understand that if a person who eats gluten loved the gf food, it means something). Also, the coffee was third wave barista quality. We wish we had more than two days to stay in Buffalo. We were so happy to have found this place.

Both times we had Captain Dave, a tall gentleman with salt and pepper hair. He spoke rudely to a handful of customers and both of his bartenders. The first time we assumed he was having an off day, but seeing this attitude a second time on a different boat was shocking and disappointing. Perhaps the customers and bartenders were rude to him first, but regardless, it was inappropriate for others to witness. He also mentions at the start of the ride that there is no vaping onboard, which we found to be more than reasonable. However, my wife and I saw HIM vaping while driving the boat?! Additionally, we felt as if the drinks were overtly overpriced -- 2 oz well liquor for $12 is insane! No bar I have been to in the Buffalo area charges that much for a well cocktail. However, we did feel as if the price of the tour itself was reasonable. The music was also not to our liking, but we understand it is challenging to accommodate everyone. But, it would have been nice to suggest a song or two. Unfortunately, a few of our friends have has similar experiences.... We wished we had a better experience, but as it stands now, we will not return nor recommend this place to others.

Everything about Buffalo Double Decker Bus Tours is First Class, from the guide, Officer O'Connor, to the comfortable bus, and the tour itinerary. We booked a group of 13 ladies on the Silos and Canal Side tour on a spectacular summer afternoon. The walking tour of the grain elevators started just outside of Riverworks with our incredibly talented guide, Officer O'Connor. In period dress from the early 1900's, Officer O'Connor had a good grasp on Current Events as well as the historical. We were introduced to the horrendous working conditions of the immigrants who eked out a living during the glory days of Buffalo's grain milling past. As the winds blew through the open windows, someone on the tour whispered a comment about the restless spirits of those who died within these massive concrete walls. Next, we hopped on the famous double decker bus and began the driving tour. I was impressed that Officer O'Connor presented a mix of humorous improvisation along with well researched historical facts. He obviously knew his audience, and tailored his comments accordingly. I would highly recommend any of these tours, there are many to choose from. I'm looking forward to my next tour!

I also have to say that we were supposed to be taking the afternoon tour and the owner operator was very nice to accommodate us to skip and let us come on an earlier tour because we arrived three hours ahead of our actual tour. He was also very accommodating with my mobility scooter in that we were able to get it on the bus and out of everyone's way and I did not have to collapse it. Anytime you're in the Buffalo area. I highly recommend this company.

I cannot say enough about this tour! If you're looking for a unique gift for a fellow Buffalonian…read morewho enjoys Buffalo history and Buffalo's favorite past time (and no I'm not referring to football or even hockey) drinking, then this is the tour of all tours. I took the Polish Christmas tour last week and have been telling anyone who is willing to listen about this tour. I took my boyfriend as a surprise Christmas gift. The tour began at the Sportsmans Tavern on Amherst St. From there a school bus picked us (40) up from the tavern, and thus the night began. BONUS: no need to hide your drinks on the bus, they are allowed... in a red solo cup of course, proceed to party! Our first stop was St. Stan's Athletic Club, which is basically a bar with a pool table- only the best athletes allowed. Here we feasted on a traditional polish Wigilia dinner and drank classic polish beer. If you're not Polish and are not familiar with Polish drinks/liquors, I HIGHLY recommend you try Krupnik- it's a polish honey liquor. Whether you're feeling cold on a winters night, feeling a flu coming on, or are looking to kick back, a few shots of Krupnik is all it takes. From the athletic club, we proceeded on a short 2 minute walk to St. Stans church- a magnificently beautiful structure in the heart of a very dilapidated neighborhood. Religious or not, the church is a must see for everyone. The R&L lounge was next on the list- an old mom & pop joint which probably hasn't changed since the 70's. The owners, Ronnie and Loddie, are welcoming and have opened a beer or thousands over the years. Allegedly Loddie makes the best pierogis in town! If that doesn't leave you wanting to come back, I don't know what will. Next stop bowling... at Corpus Cristi Church (and athletic club). Yes, that's right, a bowling alley. You'll find Corpus Cristi Athletic Club is a trifecta: bar, bowling alley and pickles served as free bar food to munch on! Talk about a strike. And last, but certainly not least we headed over to Arty's- another gem tucked away on a side street, overlooking the famous Central Terminal. Arty's is the perfect combination of modern bar meets old polonia. Hands down, one of the best nights I've had in a long time. What a great way to showcase the city, bring awareness to the east side, and meet new friends. Highly recommend this to anyone from 21 yrs old to 101 years old. Tips: bring cash, the bars don't take credit or checks (unless you're at Corpus Cristi, then your bar tab may be paid by check).

It is more than worth the money, and they feed you too. We'd never had beef on Weck before, and it is really the ultimate bar food. Now I just need to find California Weck. Hints anyone?
