I'd been wanting to get a Friday the 13th tattoo for a while now, and on June 13th of this year I found these guys (thanks to Google). It was super crowded! I'm glad their event has gotten so successful. I got there in the early afternoon, I think, and I waited about 3 hours. It was a long wait, but they seemed to be moving as quickly and efficiently as possible while still producing good, crisp tattoos. I chatted with other people waiting, went and got some food, and hung out. I picked the scissors as my design, being a seamstress, and went for black and grey. My artist ended up being Danny. It was a fun atmosphere inside, there was a horror movie on and everyone was chatting. They're a very relaxed and nice group of dudes. My tattoo came out very crisp, and I'm super satisfied with it. It healed nicely! I'm definitely keeping these guys on my list of shops for future work. The only reason I gave 4 instead of 5 stars was because of the long wait, which I know is something they couldn't really prevent! read more

Man, I got a trash tattoo that hasn't held up (it's been 2 years) and I got ripped off! He charged by the hour, but kept getting up for smoke breaks. The only reason I didn't go back to get my tattoo fixed is because I got pregnant a month later. read more

I chose mike ortiz as my tattoo artist and let me just start of by saying that getting my front part of my shin tattooed has been a great experience working with this guy. I just finished my 3rd sesh with mike and im looking forward to my 4th. This shop is great to be in. All the guys are chill and its not one of those intimidating tattoo shop feels that you get with some places in the area. Not the best pictures, but I just wanted to show what illuminati tattoos had to offer for Friday the 13th. This is a very well known tattoo shop in Fullerton that will receive business no matter what but they still refused to post the tattoo designs until the day of. Even tho I don't agree with that, I can't fault them if the tattoo artist requested it. My issue with them is that, they posted on instagram that the designs were being posted at the shop at @10 pm. So when I went to go look at the designs and take pictures to look at and decide while I'm in line, two people told me "you can't take pictures!" So I said ok, and as I was walking away another girl told me "you can't take pictures, it says it twice! If you take pictures we won't tattoo you." I don't understand why she felt the need to tell me this after someone already told me and I stopped and walked away. Also this is dumb because now people are gonna take longer to decide what they want causing the line to be longer. Like I said, they don't have to hide their designs bc they're getting a lot of business anyway! I just got my first tattoo on Friday the 13th for $13 from here with a friend of mine. It took me a while to find the place since It was a bit hidden. We went during the grand opening of this place and it wasn't as crowded as we thought it would be. We both took a look at the flash tattoos that they offer. We both decided to get the Mickey ears with the 13 in the middle. We both got it behind out ears. The outline was black and the number was red. It's our school colors and the Mickey ears represent our grad nite. (Cheesy. I know.) First impression of the shop was pretty small. I'm claustrophobic but it didn't matter to me. I was nervous about getting my first tattoo. We didn't get helped right away since they were busy with the customers. We were on a time crunch because my friend has work in 2 hours. But luckily, Elvis(the guy who tatted us) took us in. It wasn't that long. He was very chill and did a good job. I came to this shop around 1130am on Friday the 13th, and was told the list was already cut off to take names, but when I called the day before I was told that they would be taking names untill 8pm on the 13th. Ok I understand it gets packed but what upset me was the girl running the list was rude and made a comment to her friends about how she has to keep telling people that the list was closed. All of the artist got along and looked like they were all having fun. I had Bryan Gerardo do my inner forearm piece and I was very happy on the work he did. Sooo, I'm almost exactly 7 months late in writing this review (sorry Oather :/ ). HOWEVER, this was my very first tattoo done by 'The Oath' himself. I cannot express ENOUGH how amazing my tattoo came out. If I had gone to any other tattoo artist, it would not look like the way it does. My original sketch was mainly that - a drawing of a sun and moon with a very elaborate design around it and then some. I knew that I wanted this timeless concept, but not so much the clutter and annoying little things that would have had to be touched up more frequently than not. For an amazing price of talent, patience, comfortability, and my first tattoo (they didn't try to jip me) he suggested incorporating mandala style + 2 different colored eyes to depict the sun/moon dichotomy. This was to fit my preference of keeping the concept, yet with more simplicity and still keeping that great detail. I love my tattoo more and more every single day. I originally heard that Rafa or another artist were getting major reviews, however, I don't think this guy gets enough credit. I had an intent of seeing someone else that day, but was so so happy that I decided to let the process unfold on its own. Also what was fun and interactive was ringing the "My first tattoo" bell. These guys are real, straight up, and will suggest what they believe to be the best choice (without overstepping boundaries) and overall look. That is what it comes down to ultimately... it's on your body forever! I can't say enough about the great hospitality and comfort provided on my first tattoo. (They wanted me to say something about someone and a spider, but I don't remember, sorry haha araña?) Thank you, thank you again, Oather. You receive mad crops from this particular lady. I wish you the best and maybe I'll be in soon for another tattoo. The artists are great at what they do, my tattoo turned out beautifully and just the way I imagined it to be. However the level of unprofessionalism in this store isn't great. I had an appointment with Vile and he did an outstanding job, however as I sat down to get mine done, profanity was yelled across the room from one person to another, the smell of weed coming from the back of the room, beer handed around, and other people just interrupting my session as well as constantly walking back and forth, I was just waiting for someone to bump into us while tattooing. I watched an artist answer his phone while tattooing another customer. Like I said though, for me it was worth the visit because of their skill, everyone was friendly, and when they do get started they do clean and amazing work. I love my new tattoo! read more
