Once again the store proved itself to be a disappointment. Having turned my buying to Lowe's or Hartville hardware over the years I venture in to rent an electric jack hammer. The associate seemed perturbed that he to break off his texting and after signing the docs pushed the machine out the door and said "have a good day" he was pretty clueless about helping me load it but at 70 I'm still pretty strong. Getting home I had to sharpen the bits as the were just blunt pieces of iron and after 10 minutes of use I saw a couple of bolts laying on the ground. The head was coming off. The machine was a piece of crap so I returned it I finished the following day by renting from Sunbelt. Nice tool, good bits and they loaded it up. Home Depot nicked me $125.00 for 4 hours use. We ordered appliances from Home Depot for our brand new kitchen. The refrigerator (along with a range and dishwasher) was delivered just before Christmas. The delivery experience was alarming. The drivers appeared impaired and fell while carrying the refrigerator up our stairs (raised ranch). Because the box itself did not appear damaged, no further inspection was done at the time. Due to an ongoing kitchen renovation, all appliances remained boxed to prevent damage until cabinetry was installed. Today, when the refrigerator was finally unboxed for installation, we discovered three significant dents. This damage clearly occurred during manufacturing or delivery. Multiple calls to Home Depot customer service led absolutely nowhere. Despite the circumstances, we were told the refrigerator would not be replaced. After years of loyalty and thousands of dollars spent with Home Depot, this is how we are treated -- dismissed and left with a damaged product we paid full price for. We now have a brand-new kitchen with a visibly dented, brand-new refrigerator, and Home Depot refuses to make it right. This is unacceptable and deeply disappointing. Buyer beware: once that delivery truck leaves, Home Depot apparently wants nothing to do with the condition of the appliance they delivered. read more

I don't expect every employee to be an expert in home improvement--but I do expect a basic level of familiarity with the products on the shelves. I wouldn't expect a car salesman to build an engine, but I would expect them to recognize a steering wheel. In the same way, I expect someone working at Home Depot to know what a screw is. So imagine my frustration when I asked for help and was met with a curt, "My register's closed." That in itself isn't the issue. The issue is being treated like a burden, passed off to another employee who seemed just as unsure and unprepared to assist. This wasn't an isolated experience. Far too often, I've encountered blank stares when asking routine questions in your store. Today simply confirmed what I've been suspecting for a while: customer service here has become optional. I'll be seeking out smaller, locally owned hardware stores moving forward--places where customers are acknowledged, questions are answered, and staff actually know the difference between a nail and a screw. read more

Obviously my belief that an employee of a hardware store should have a basic understanding of the department they are in, or atleast know the store and be able to steer me to SOMEONE who knows SOMETHING, is setting the bar too high. read more

VERY helpful flooring section... knew how to look up other locations to check stock... knew to ask other locations to check the actual isle and have the tiles held at customer service desk.... willing to offer directions to the other locations and knew the area well enough to give warning of where the GPS may have it wrong. WORST cashier ever! Very rude, condescending, brusk, nasty... I would never go to her line again... and if she had been the only option we would have left our tiles and gone elsewhere. Soooo... the service we really needed they were great at... near the end of a 4 Home Depot Store day... and I would go to them early in another material search... just play check out roulette and hope for better next time. read more

Never shop here. Uninformed employees. Rude managers and Rude cashiers! We left without our whole cart full of stuff because of the service. This is all because they delivered our fridge and ripped of the badge and didn't send it with the plugs to plug the holes to swap the handles. Will never shop with any Home Depot anywhere ever again. This was the most unhelpful Home Depot that I've been to. We came in around 5pm and tried to find a part for a sink. We looked for someone to help us but no one was around any nearby aisles, so we went to the front to ask for help by the registers. There were two women there, one I believe to help with the registers but the other wasn't doing anything, she was just on her phone. She was on the phone with one hand and a coffee cup in the other. She got off the phone before I approached her and I asked her to help us find a plumbing part. She said "which aisle" and I pointed and then she said "I'll call someone." Neither of the two even offered any help beyond that. So I went back to the aisle and waited and no one showed up. After waiting we tried to find another person and he just directed us to someone else working with boxes. This guy seemed uninterested as well but led us down the aisle and finally helped. Overall no one was interested in helping us and only wanted to pass us off to someone else. Usually people at home depot are nice or at least willing to try to help. But this location is just unfriendly and I would recommend going to either a different location or a Lowes. read more

Me and my husband recently bought our entire kitchen and laundry room from Home Depot. Had them delivered to our newly built home in the beginning of November before the home was complete. The first delivery was terrible. The refrigerator was left in the garage because they didn't have enough time to get it into the house, they didn't completely hook up my dryer and washer and the damaged my two new sore frames and put a hole in my wall. I reported the damage and the appliances not hooked up and was told they would someone back out the next week to finish the job. On the side of the damage the people building my home fixed the damage not before I took pictures but when I submitted the pictures to the insurance company they turned them down because I had them fixed. Fast forward to the next week. The second time out the refrigerator was put in and the washer and dryer hooked up we thought but have recently noticed that part of the dryer is still not hooked up. My husband and I went out of town for three weeks and when we came back it was thanksgiving. We went to use the microwave and joyed a loud noise coming from the microwave and the fact that the stick of butter i placed in the microwave was not melting. We again called Home Depot and we were directed to Samsung. Samsung wanted to come out and service the microwave that I used one time. I verbalized I wanted a new microwave because this one is obviously broken. They refused so Home Depot agreed to send us a new one and take this one back. The next week the new one was brought out. We are now on our third visit. The people attempted to install this microwave and they stripped the bolt inside the microwave so bad that they didn't even say anything until it was noticed but us. When we noticed they told us we had to call for a new microwave, handed us a number and left. Again we had to call. We again were set up for now a fourth visit. The next week the delivery people came out and did not have the right tools and were unable to take the microwave out and again left our home without doing the work. We had to call again. My husband is now on the third time taking off work and losing wages. This was on a Friday. They agreed to come back on Saturday. When they arrived Saturday they had the right tools but noted when they took the previous microwave down it was installed completely wrong. The metal plate on the back wall to hold the microwave wasn't even in the wall studs correctly and fell out of the wall. If this had not been noted then it would have eventually fell and the microwave itself was put together wrong. They took pics and said they would submit them. They were able to install correctly. When I called the company to say it was done and after all the chaos and spending 10,000 and losing multiple days of pay all we got was we are sorry and 150 refund that I have never seen. I find that so ridiculous. This is how you treat your customers. Terrible customer service. Will never shop with Home Depot again. Will be cancelling my card read more

First off, A month or 2 ago i went her and bought a cabinet for my bathroom, got home, and opened the box to find a large amount of rotting wood. Went to the store and the employees were very nice about it. Today i went back to return a tool i bought that was supposed to cut tile. I opened it find old batteries from a drill of a random brand. The employees gave me a hard time telling me that it was my fault and i was trying to get something for free. I wasn't. I ended up repaying for it and speaking to the very rude manager. Bought a refrigerator. Delivered with no back wheel and broken handle. The back corner, with no wheel, scratched our hard wood floor. Home Depot only takes the money. Then you have to deal with the installation company, whirlpool and in my case a repair company. At one point repair company told me that this may not be covered under warranty. Finally they agreed to give us a new refrigerator. Customer care stopped talking to me. This was all two months after purchased. Go to Massillon Home Appliance. Great company, great service. Worst store ever. Went in to fix a problem with my fridge. The lady in appliance was very helpful. But it all turned bad at the register. The guy was rude and had no clue what was going on. We had $300 of stuff and walked out with nothing. Called the manager and corporate and seems no one cares how they treat the customer. Will go else where from now on. read more

A good store that I would recommend, I usually find what I need and the staff has been helpful whenever I have needed assistance. In fact I bought a cordless drill kit on Monday and now here on Friday that same kit is $40.00 cheaper on sale and I was told to bring my receipt in and an adjustment would be made, great! read more

If I could give zero stars I would. The amount of disrespect I received by an employee here was astonishing. First of all, I placed an online order and they didn't even bother to email me, so 2 hours after placing the order I finally went in and it was sitting right there behind the counter. (It was a shop-vac part) I had brought the motor of the shop vac in to assure that the part fit. When I asked the employee, Katie to open it so I could see if it fit, she rolled her eyes and aggressively ripped the package open. When I was trying to fit the part on she sighed and rolled her eyes again. Turns out it was the wrong part. Ok, my bad. I said that it was the wrong part and she sighed again and said I could just return it. No help or suggestions finding a fitting part, just attitude for "wasting her precious time". She slams the cash register shut and gives me my money back, throws the receipt at me and doesn't even say thanks or have a nice day or anything somewhat pleasant, just tries to get rid of me. I wasn't rude, I was much nicer than I should've been to be completely honest. I've spent 10 grand at this store over time and this is how I'm treated? I will never make the mistake of shopping here again. I've called corporate to further handle this matter in case you've been wondering. Thanks Katie, I will never shop here again! read more

I will not be shopping at this particular Home Depot again. Service is absolutely lousy. Go down the road about a mile to Lowe's or if you are like me and want Anderson windows/doors (which Lowe's does not carry), then go up to the Howe Rd or North Canton Home Depot. Even with the extra time driving, you will probably get waited on faster. read more

My father in law who has dementia put water in his new Toro mower. Called for advice and got it, but was told if it did not work out to bring it in. I did have to bring to the service center and met AWESOME Evan. He treated me with kindness and knew what I had missed. Then he fixed it and then took the time to explained to me what I would need to do if this should happen again. What a nice experience read more

Service was fine but products they sell are terrible!!! GE Washing machine has been repaired twice and they still won't replace. Mower broke after first use. The quality of products they carry are terrible and if you value your time DO NOT SHOP HERE!! read more
