This was my first time coming to this Home Depot location. My expectations weren't high, but this experience was awful. I do not recommend this location for anyone. I only came here for 4 small screws. After trying to find the screws for a while, I asked someone for help. As a customer, I got passed over to a different associate, twice. The first associate didn't help much since she was busy with another customer. The second associate tried to help me, with little to no knowledge on how to help me. He was also unprofessional, asking me questions to help him help myself. I never bought screws before, so I barely know how to find it here. We walked everywhere for it, but no progress. All the associates were unprofessional, seemed very vague about knowing how to help a customer. The associates would also leave me hanging, to help other people while I still don't have the screws. This all happened for an hour. I would rather have them just say we don't have the screws.

This Home Depot is very very busy (everyone in Alexandria seems to come here, no matter what time of day or day of week) and in a crazy busy shopping center. The store associates are friendly and helpful, and the lines move fairly well especially given how crowded the parking lot always is. I always find what I need here, which is the reason for the 4 stars. The Lowe's is just too far away in South Alexandria.

If I could, I would have given minus five stars. No customer service/ floor help so ever. Wasted half hour waiting for someone helping cut the wood panel for me. Asked three times at the service desk - nothing. Asked to call for a manager - 10 minutes and I am still waiting. The store is literally empty - 1 pm on Tuesday, very few customers, running around asking each other (!!!) to help find staff. Home Depot has become a self service / self-reliance joint. Their radio announcements that their staff is available to help us nothing but a joke. I though only a DC location that was bad in this regard but apparently it is now the brand management approach - don't bother about customer service, they will buy anyway, even if they are unhappy. We need more market competition to Home D

Walked into Home Depot this morning and there were two attendants chatting. They asked if I needed help and I explained that I needed a tape or pad to stick a rug and floor together. The gentleman looked something up in the Home Depot app and said that it would be in tape or flooring. I thought he would walk me over, since it was clear I had no idea what I was looking for, but he didn't. I walked over to the tape, didn't see what I needed so then walked over to flooring. I bumped into IB, another Home Depot staff member. I explained what I needed and he walked me right over to the different rug tapes. He talked me through my needs and suggested a few different ones. We settled on one, I thanked him for his help and went to pay. As I was leaving the first guy asked if I found what I needed. I said yes( kinda no thanks to you?!). Thanks again IB, would have been lost without ya!

He then required payment on the spot via Zelle before writing out a handwritten carbon-copy receipt. Exactly 14 days later, the repair failed completely with identical symptoms, and upon inspection, the replacement belt had broken again. When the new belt snapped, it whipped around the inside of the cabinet and damaged the machine's internal wiring. I called to request a refund since their repair failed, but the manager became combative, refused the refund, and abruptly hung up the phone on me. Ultimately, I am out the $350 for a repair that didn't last 2 weeks and I had to replace my dryer entirely due to the damage. The company has not responded to communication attempts. EDIT: Company's email response went to spam. Matter is being discussed via email. EDIT 2: Management has formally declined to issue a refund for this failed service. The company maintains that their standard procedures were followed; however, they have been unable to produce any documentation of pre-work authorization or a estimate demonstrating that pricing was disclosed prior to the completion of the repair--relying only on their technicians unsubstantiated and disputed claim of verbal authorization. Because the replacement component failed within 14 days and caused significant electrical damage to the unit's wiring harness, the appliance was rendered a total loss and required complete replacement. Management has denied my refund request leaving the matter unresolved. Recommend avoiding Appliance Surgeon as I have been very dissatisfied with my experience.

I'm giving Lowe's five stars for the delivery and customer service surrounding my recent appliance…read morepurchases. The store itself doesn't do much to encourage buying beyond competitive pricing and a large variety of floor models, but the delivery and follow‑through are where Lowe's truly shines. When I first saw the Kitchen Aid refrigerator I ended up purchasing, I touched the handles and felt immediately connected, the handles are grooved! Once I found a way to plug it in (even after the sales person busy with someone else said not to), opening the door was like illuminating a Hollywood production - the LED lighting was theater for food. I was instantly wowed. Even though I originally planned to buy a basic $800 model, b/c as my one friend said it is just to keep food cold, I went home and purchased the $1,200 one (on sale from 2100) that I had just touched because it was simply stunning. And it was $800 off. Lowe's didn't "sell" me on it; the product did. But Lowes made it available for me to see and realize it will bring me joy every single time I lay eyes on it. Later, when installation ran into an unexpected plumbing issue, Lowe's immediately refunded my plumber's fee - he had driven 95 minutes in 18‑degree weather, right before a major snowstorm. That level of responsiveness is rare, and my plumber deserves a medal, but Lowe's deserves credit for stepping up without hesitation. Lowes delivery made this a WIN-WIN for a very stressed customer. And BTW, our region was it with 6" of snow and temperatures below 10 degrees for the next week. So this was a major save. The LG washer purchase experience this week was excellent. I did not go to the store to see and feel this washer in person, and I do regret that , but I likely would have purchased another Samsung even though it was a full 3" deeper and likely to stick out awkwardly. But the delivery of the LG at 28.3" was superior. The team was professional, careful, and communicative. Delivery is clearly where Lowe's excels in my past 2 purchases. And they of course do a quick run through for the appliance - which seemed to work just fine - and they let me check it for dents or damage before hauling away the old. Overall, while the in‑store experience is basic and not elevated compared to HD, the delivery and post‑delivery support have been outstanding. This is my 2nd washer and 2nd fridge. When the dryer fails, it will be Lowes who gets the call. That's what earns this five‑star review.

I have been here multiple times trying to get blinds cut. The machine always seems to be "broken"…read moreor the staff unable to figure out how to do it. I find it interesting that it's always during the sales that the equipment seems to be having issues. I've even gone to the point where I attempt to call ahead to make sure someone is there as I have to drive 25 minutes to get there and don't want to waste my time. No one ever answers. It is extremely unfortunate that this is the only one in the area and I will continue to take my business elsewhere.
