We came here to get a bbq & some pathway lights. We weren't sure whether the bbq could fit in our car so we had a very nice (very new) girl assist us. She went above & beyond to locate us a bbq that was still in the box that was up in the rafters. She helped us to take measurements of the box & went out to the car to grab measurements of the door. Additionally, just in case the box didn't fit, she set us up with will call so we could leave & come back with a bigger car. This girl was our hero this day! The box fit & we were able to have a great bbq dinner that same night. Everything is well stocked & most the staff had smiles & were polite/said hello. Only 4 stars because the young girl that helped us with will call was less than helpful. We wanted to grab a cover for the bbq and had to repeat ourselves three times before she stopped ringing us up & acknowledged us. She then didn't even bother to point us in the correct direction. Luckily our helpful gal was still around to help us out with the aisle number. Overall, great experience & customer service. Thanks! read more

I've been shopping here for years on and off, jumping between HD and another local big box home improvement retailer nearby. The staff here are awesome, and I've gotten some great products at decent prices to help with projects/expanding my tool collection. I prefer their nursery and landscaping options as well as I work to "greenify" our living spaces with hardy Utah-friendly plants. Unfortunately, I have the same issue with this store that I also have with the aforementioned competitor located nearby. I will no longer shop at this location due to Home Depot corporate's decision to install Flock Safety surveillance cameras in the parking lot. Enabling the mass surveillance tracking of private citizens by feeding ALPR data - a poorly secured technology proven to track more than just license plates - into nationwide surveillance databases is an unacceptable invasion of customer privacy and a blatant means of sidestepping our 4th Amendment rights. I'm taking my business to local hardware stores that don't track their customers and support mass surveillance at the behest of the government. My review extends to the greater scope of Home Depot as a corporate entity and the issue I take with their decision making from my perspective as one of their customers. I encourage others to thoroughly look into this matter to form their own opinions and determine if they too would like to continue their patronage. read more

This is the fourth time I have tried to rent a truck from the American Fork store. Previously I had tried to get a truck with shorter notice, so this time I reserved it a week in advance. I received notice that the reservation was confirmed and expected to pick the truck up this morning. Ten minutes before departure time to pick it up, I received an email stating that my reserved truck is out of stock. This location has a parking lot full of rental trucks but they can't seem to honor reservations, ever. This store could do better by going out of business. I will never shop here again. read more

I tried for a half hour to try and leave a compliment directly with the store manager using my Pro app but couldn't see a at to do that. Even the receipt doesn't have a way to leave a compliment. Weird. I don't know if this will make its way to the right person at ie Home Depot in American fork Utah. In short, I couldn't figure out what adapters to use in the plumbing section. I was frustrated and had spent an hour with different options to reduce a line. I was ready to give up when I saw Thomas on my isle. I told him what I was trying to do. He listened patiently and asked a few questions and then suddenly had a solution to my problem as found the part I needed. I am so pleased with his professionalism. I have been to this Home Depot quite a few times lately. Being home during Covid will do that. We have done the pickup from the locker. It was so easy. Just scanned the email QR Code and open the locker. Super easy. They have a good selection on paint but I needed a Poly Acrylic clear stain. I went to the paint section and asked if this would work on the breakfast nook we built. They actually referred me to Lowe's because they had a better product. I was impressed because they didn't care about selling me something. They wanted me to have the best product. I will always start my home improvement projects here! read more

What this spot has that I haven't seen in many other Home Depots yet, is a ton of self-checkout options. Where you get a gun and get to just scan stuff in your cart. I *think* I like that, but on the flipside, that means they only have a select few registers with traditional cashiers, and if you have a bunch of weird stuff, or stuff without stickers or numbers, you're going to probably have to wait. I can't stand the traffic around this location, however. The roundabout, the weird turn on the road; it's a pain to get in here, park, and the store aisles are narrow. As I hauled a cart with lumber today, I had to stop and wait everywhere because they were only just wide enough for my cart. Other than that, I do have specific things that I go to HD for versus the other big box home improvement store. I like the hardware here much better, and since today was about hardware and lumber, I opted for the orange. It's not my favorite HD, but when in American Fork, you just roll with it. read more

I guess not too many people are doing home/yard work in the rain/snow, except for this guy... That being said, the staff were knowledgeable of where the items I needed. Plus, able to give recommendations on tools and or better ways to complete the tasks that I was going to be working on. The self checkout lines really make things move fast. I came here with the purpose to write a one star review because of an issue that happened to me yesterday. I then realized all the great experience I had with home depot and never gave credit where credit is due. I love this place. All the employees are friendly and kind. I come here probably once a month for something I need. I never had any issues with this HomeDepot of American Fork until yesterday. My advice to corporate or HomeDepot staff; before you sell an openbox safe, make sure it at least has a key in it or has the combination key attached with the unit. I paid for the unit yesterday and carried that 100 pound safe to my room upstairs only to find out it worthless. I DID EXERCISE BY MISTAKE! read more

Such an amazing experience! Went to the their rental department and had an awesome experience- Cliff was very helpful and helped me get what I needed. I even had some issues after getting the equipment and the Home Depot team was very helpful in trouble shooting the issue and helping me get it resolved. Pros- emailed receipts (always knowing where they are), effortless returns (make sure to bring your license!) great Black Friday deals, knowledgeable staff and early and late store hours. Normally a very good store, but was a bit turned off today. I called and made sure I could pick up the free kids workshop kit and take it home instead of staying to build it there. They assured me I could. However, after I drove the 20 minutes and tried to pick up ONE kit to take home, they told me it was against policy and I had to bring my child in to build it there. So I made the 20 minute drive home, picked up my child and drove all the way back. I would've just stayed home but my 4 y/o was upset as she had been told she would get to make a bird feeder. I live near this area, so this is the Home Depot I visited when needing to pick up something for my home. I say "visited" because I'm done. The trip started with me wanting to look at potential white boards. Their site has several listed, all showing in stock at the store. We went in, looked around a bit and didn't see anything. Everything here feels so unorganized and claustrophobic. I feel like there is no chance at all that I could ever find something on my own here. After a good search I went and asked an employee. His response, "I'm not really sure where to find that, sorry!"....really? He won't ever see this, but in case he does, NEXT TIME YOU DON'T KNOW WHERE SOMETHING IS FIGURE IT OUT, ASK THE NEXT EMPLOYEE, DO SOMETHING OTHER THAN SAY, "I'M SORRY"! In complete shock I opened my phone and looked it up on their site. Their mobile site is missing a key feature that their desktop site has, the ability to see which row and aisle something is at in your local store. I battled with their site and eventually got it to stay in desktop mode long enough to find the aisle, found the supposed aisle and walked over only to find a pile of carpet and no whiteboard in site. I double checked the information on the site, triple checked the aisle, and even made another round around the store to see if it was somehow possible that there were multiple of the same aisle. I found nothing, gave up and left. Lowes is just down the street and I'm 3/3 on finding things there on my own. They will get my business until Home Depot has something I need that they don't. read more

I love this Home Depot location. It's clean, lots of staff and they have everything. They have a great plant selection here in season as well. These big box stores come in very handy since having a house and always wanting to upgrade something. Their prices are fair also and very conveniently located. Sometimes I forget to review these large retailers, too. I see a lot of them going away, as we're seeing now. I want the places I frequent to stay around. Home Depot's wide variety of product choices and informed customer service from the store staff makes shopping here a breeze (I mean literally) for me personally at least and due to sheer number of options available , I always find a good product that is easy on my wallet too. I came to your American Fork location to purchase a dishwasher 6/12/18. I left wanting to check out Lowe's as well, it was a toss up but I called back to purchase with Home Depot as I really liked our Salesman and wanted it to reflect well on him. He was attentive and helpful, but not pushy. I didn't want to hassle with installation so I gladly paid $130 for that as well. Upon delivery, I was informed they could not install it per Home Depot's criteria. They would have a plumber come due to it's proximity to the sink, but had no timeframe for when he would come. The plumber (Mike) finally comes 6/27/18. He informs me he needed to charge me another $175 to install the dishwasher (we have already paid Home Depot $130 for installation), and he only accepted cash. He also said we needed to replace a valve and our garbage disposal, so in total it cost $415. He said he was unable to take any form of payment but cash. I thought that was shady, but at this point I really wanted a working dishwasher as I have been without for sometime. The DAY after he left my dishwasher was leaking, and he never reconnected our filtered water tap. I texted and called him with no response. Two days later I let him know I was contacting Home Depot, he responded immediately saying he would be there the first of the week of 7/1. No word from him all week long, he ignored my calls and text 7/5, 7/6, 7/7 and 7/9. I contacted XPO Diagnostics July 9th and was told it would be sent to management and addressed immediately. Which would have been great, had it actually happened. I called my local Home Depot today, waited on hold for 7 minutes and was finally transferred to a woman who didn't answer and no voicemail picked up. It is now the evening of July 12th, exactly one month after my purchase. My filtered water doesn't work, the dishwasher has stinky water in it which won't drain, it leaks if you try to run it and there has been NO attempt to remedy the situation. At that point I have paid a whopping $305.00 just to have a dishwasher installed. I expected so much more from your company, I hope this review catches someone's attention who actually cares about the customer service provided by Home Depot. This store is crawling with untrained, unsupervised teenage employees dicking around doing absolutely nothing. Nobody in the store could answer a question about product, navigate their store app, or even tell us where things are located in the store. We've been trying to order blinds for our house for 3 weeks with no luck because there isn't a single employee trained enough to place our order and the installation team didn't honor the appointments that they themselves set up with us. We won't be returning to this store in the future and would not recommend it to anyone seeking similar services. read more

The customer service rep named Mel at this store is incredibly nice and works so hard. Management also seems to care about their customers as well. The online customer care is lacking and there is a huge language barrier in the delivery service which makes things difficult at times. First off, we want to make sure that "Sydney" who helped us in the Appliance department knows that she was very kind. We went in specifically to purchase Samsung appliances because they offered "Additional 10% Off" when 4 Samsung Appliances bought/bundled at same time. We bought 4 and quickly realized the "Additional 10%" was NOT applied. After several attempts by "Sydney" to apply the discount, she called "Nick" the store manager. After some back and forth, it was determined by "Nick", that the 10% was "...already applied in the 'sale price' and thus, no additional 10% would be applied." So, no "Additional 10%" applied. Sadly, this is classic "switch and bait" and incredibly misleading by Nick at Home Depot. We bought a refrigerator, washing machine, clothes dryer, and a microwave. totaling over 5000k. Honestly, we think it was also a case of not wanting to be bothered to do the right thing. Sorry, our business is not appreciated. We will no longer use Home Depot and will only use Ace or Lowes for all of our home improvement needs. We are done. read more

Then no one called for install so back on the phone to talk to a manager. Finally the installers called they said they were so backed up. They gave me a date a month and half to install a door. I made a phone call to the store and was able to speak with the store manager, Chris. He made me feel heard and understood and he apologized for the unpleasant costumer service I experienced. This location is awful. In general I go to Lowe's because they have a staff that looks for opportunities to help customers, rather than avoiding them. Even more annoying is that at this location there is no cell service. (At least not with Verizon) so their app won't work. That makes for a bad combo when trying to find things. read more

Ordered a front door Nov 2020 , got a call a week later saying the door would not be here untIl Feb 2021 , possibly due to Covid issues , we said no problem and we understand . Paid in full for the door and waited. Received a call on Feb 9th saying door was in and put on the schedule for Feb 17 . At noon on feb 17 we received a call that the installers would not be coming That day. was told they would call us right back with details . Never heard from anyone the rest of the day. Left messages twice and still no call or explanation. the next morning we received a text message saying they are trying to put us back on the schedule . Weren't we on the schedule? Shouldn't we be first on the schedule . called the manager and still no response . Maybe we get our money back , and start the 5 month process again just so we don't have to deal with Home Depot! read more

This review is for the door and window department. We had a large indoor door project that we used this store for. The store employees were not at all helpful. The individual who ran the department was extremely difficult to get ahold of, and when we were able to get ahold of her, she was extremely short and would not provide us with any information. When we ordered back in November, there was no expectation given to us that the manufacturing and shipping was delayed. All paperwork stated that the process would take 28 days or less, and when we brought that up to the store employee, she became extremely condescending toward us about how we should have known about the delays. There were never any attempts made to try and make us happy as customers, or even apologies about the delays or lack of any adequate explanation of what we should expect. I will never use this store again for big projects like this, and will dissuade all I know in the same direction. I was not happy with the experience. The only reason I am giving them two stars, is because the installer was extremely prompt and helpful. I'm sure he makes great money being a contractor with Home Depot, but I feel bad he has to work with this store. read more

Ugh I'm glad we bought the 5 year protection program because it's year 3 and our washer wasn't working right. There technician came out for the second time to fix the problem and now there is no power to the washer. It's frustrating because I have been out of a washer machine for almost a month and the is no laundry mat in em. -.- I know home depot didn't make this Maytag washer but atleast stand by the products you sell. I'm sorry I know this is a rant. Do not buy the plain top loader maytag washer it sucks and was expensive. The matching dryer doesn't also work that great but we deal with it. read more

Atrocious service. I ordered $1400 in shades from them. Shades get delivered, but scheduling the actual install is another matter - despite paying $100 for this. Tried calling numerous times and no one picks up. Can't even leave a message. I call another department, and they simply send me back to the void. Then I call the main line, and I get an unhappy lady who provides no assistance at all. She simply tells me: "keep calling back". Huh? That's customer service? This doesn't end. I purchase 5 bags of play sand, two of them were in third-party sand bags because the original bags were ripped and spilling sand out. Home Depot in fact put these in those bags. So I go out to pay for this, and an unfriendly woman immediately stops me and says: "you have to pay for those sandbags". I told her I didn't put them into these bags. She didn't care. So I promptly pulled the ripped sandbags out of the third-party sandbags, and the sand immediately poured out all over the floor. That's why they were put in these bags! I told her forget it, the ripped bags will be just mess in my car. Moral of the story, bite the the cost of bag so you can make a sale, instead of having a floor covered now in sand and a complete company loss overall. read more

This review is for Home Depot's carpet installation company. Wow.... It was bad. Short story: They sold our carpet to someone else, so we had to order it again and wait. They messed up our baseboards during installation. The seems look terrible. They almost left a room unfinished and they were annoyed when I reminded them because they weren't sure they had enough carpet. They left garbage in my house. (Water bottles and food wrappers.)
