The people working the loading area are the most worthless helpless people I've ever seen at Home Depot. I spend tens of thousands of dollars every year at Home Depot's all over the state and this is by far the worst. I will never visit this location again. Pro Loader = Joke

Home Depot is Home Depot, need I say more?! Home Depot for the most part is always relatively busy, except when it is raining/snowing outside. I guess not too many people are doing home/yard work in the rain/snow, except for this guy... That being said, the staff were knowledgeable of where the items I needed. Plus, able to give recommendations on tools and or better ways to complete the tasks that I was going to be working on. The self checkout lines really make things move fast. Very nice new recent addition! I've been to Home Depot too many times to count! Almost every time is an enjoyable experience, not for my bank account, but that's alright.

I like Home Depot. They seem to always have what I need for my projects and the phone ap helps me find it. I can even bring my dog with me.

But if my visit is any indication at all, this is probably a family-run spot with nice folks doing their best to bring you good flowers. The world of plant stores/nurseries has taken a turn for the charming lately, with some even doubling as wedding and reception centers. Interiors are being redone with very Instaworthy layouts and all the modern trends. That's not the case here. This is where you go for your bedding plants. This is where you go for a nice tree. This is where you go to peruse the perennials to just cruise and find something you like. I'm told that earlier in the season they have a nice selection of veggies so that would for sure be worth checking out. I'm not sure if the wintertime brings more houseplants, succulents, cacti, or other on-trend plants, but for now that selection was pretty limited. It's not their specialty, and that's A-OK as long as you know. I found the help to be very friendly, and they seemed to focus a lot on making the plants as affordable as possible, which is always appreciated. They were kind enough to remark on all the recent markdowns and take the time to show a few favorites. All in all, it's a pretty straightforward spot with a lot of the likely suspects, and if you cruise around town looking at nurseries as I do, you'll probably find something interesting here, too.

There was some confusion on the delivery time and the driver dumped the load when I was not home. I was very upset because I asked for a different time so I could be home. The dump location was going to make me move the mulch further than it should have. The driver was just doing what the paper work showed and it wasn't his fault. I went to Manager/Owner and explained what happened. He was quick to make it work by sending a tractor and 2 guys to move the load where it should have been. They could have told me "to deal with it" but instead he made it 100% correct. Sorry to that driver that got an earful from me and thanks to the owner that has a loyal customer now.

I was very disappointed with my experience at Thrive Nursery…read more I recently spent over $300 on flowers and plants, including a hydrangeas that cost $53 each. Within 24 hours of planting it, the hydrangea was already dying. I called and left a voicemail but never received a return call. When I called again the next day, I was told, "We don't warranty plants, only trees." What disappointed me most wasn't just the policy--it was how it was handled. As I tried to explain what had happened, I was repeatedly interrupted with, "We don't warranty plants." There was no attempt to listen to my concerns or offer any kind of customer service or goodwill solution. If there is no warranty on plants, especially on expensive items, that should be clearly explained to customers before they make a purchase. I spent over $300 expecting healthy, quality plants and at least some level of support if something went wrong within the first 24 hours. Unfortunately, the lack of communication, the unwillingness to listen, and the poor customer service have left me very disappointed. Based on this experience, I'll be taking my business elsewhere. You've lost a loyal customer.

But maybe that's just because I visited in the early winter and who shops a nursery then? In any case, once we made our way inside, it became clear they're making moves to up the adorbs factor and move to be way more than just a pot-em-up nursery. The main retail area here is lovely, with gifts, books, and loads of home decor. They've put some money into this, and while it still needs to be filled out a bit more, you can spend some time cruising here and be happy. From the main area, we made our way to the houseplant section. While there are a lot of expecteds there, I was surprised to see so many of them. We only found a few harder-to-find ferns (something way down the line in the birds nest family) but plenty of those old school ficus. I suppose the ficus sell, but with so many hot new ficus right now, I just was surprised at the quantity of the old schoolers. There are succulents as well, though thankfully not a bajillion. I liked many of the containers, especially the wee ones, and prices there were reasonable. We ended up with three ferns, one of which is now struggling due to a long vacation and a lack of water (my bad) but many of the plants there in the greenhouse needed a good amount of deadheading and some of the poor monstera were flagging, and generally it seems they probably need someone dedicated and diligent in the watering and upkeep. It could stand a little freshening up. I'd like to come back in the warm months to see what kind of trouble I could get into, but I still had a nice time and the other two ferns are going strong; the third has my full faith it will bounce back.

Sun River Gardens is beautifully organized, thoughtfully displayed, and stocked with a selection that puts most nurseries in the area to shame. Walking through it feels less like a garden center errand and more like an experience worth making time for. The indoor plant section is well curated and extensive. The outdoor area covers annuals, perennials, trees, and shrubs. The pottery selection, both indoor and outdoor, is lovely and priced accordingly. The pre-potted arrangements are hard to walk past. And then there is the home decor section, which is genuinely my favorite part of the visit. Exclusive, elegant, and full of pieces you simply will not find anywhere else, from beautiful accents and furniture to the most charming toys you can imagine. None of it is cheap, but none of it looks like anything else either. Now for the part I have been trying to figure out for years. I have a green thumb. I have a home full of healthy thriving plants. But something consistently happens with the plants I bring home from Sun River Gardens. Within a week or two, despite careful attention and following care instructions, they decline and die. This has happened enough times to be a pattern rather than a coincidence. Interestingly I have noticed the same thing with plants from other high end nurseries, while plants from Harmons or even Walmart almost always thrive. My best guess is that greenhouse grown plants raised in highly controlled environments struggle more with the transition to home conditions, but I genuinely do not know. What I do know is that it keeps happening. And yet I keep coming back, because the selection and the experience are that good. Four stars for the atmosphere, the inventory, and that home decor section. Just go in with realistic expectations if you are buying plants to keep alive.
