Just moved, so just needed to hit up a new HD. I've never thought any location was bad, but I genuinely like this one. Employees are helpful! Huge parking lot and convenient location. Wonderful taco truck right there for lunch or dinner. Clean store and shelves organized well. What they didn't have they offered to order in for my review before purchasing. Overall great experience. I wish I could give negative stars. Extremely disappointing experience with the tool rental department at the Antioch Home Depot. I rented a Mantis XP tiller for a gardening project, and while the employee started the engine in-store, they never actually checked that the tines worked. Once I got out to my project site with no phone service, I realized the tiller was completely unusable, the engine ran, but the tines would not spin at all. I returned the equipment 12 hours early, explained the situation calmly, and even showed multiple forms of proof/video that the machine was not functioning properly. Instead of helping resolve the issue, I was basically accused of breaking it, so I wouldn't have to pay the remaining balance, and told there was "nothing they could do." They repeatedly asked me why I didn't call and let them know that the equipment was broken. I first of all did not have service and second of all it shouldn't be my responsibility to let you know that your equipment is broken. The best offer was only 10% off for equipment I couldn't even use. The fact is, they were assuming that I didn't know how to work the machine and somewhat assuming that I had broken it. Frankly, I was offended that they would even say that when I had approached so calmly and nicely for what could've been a very normal situation I'm sure this has happened in the past. I walked in, hoping to just speak to someone and explain my experience and immediately was treated like I was up to no good and trying to scam them out of money. What made the experience worse was the lack of knowledge at every level I spoke to. I waited 30 minutes for a manager to tell me that the ground was too hard for a tiller to run, however, in the video I showed him of the tiller tines not spinning the tiller was not even touching the ground. Frankly, it was an embarrassing show of a lack of knowledge amongst so many different employees. I question how they're even able to keep their jobs. The entire situation was handled poorly from start to finish. I understand rental equipment can malfunction, but the equipment should have been properly checked before being rented out, and customers should not immediately be treated like they caused the issue. I've rented from other Home Depot locations, especially Cool Springs, and have never had an experience this frustrating read more

Jackie in the garden center is incredible. At 6:45 in the morning she is friendly, helpful, and present taking care of the plants. I've also never seen a Home Depot garden center look as good as it does under her care. All the plants looked healthy and well taken care of! Would drive 20 mins further and past 4 other locations just to go there if she were working! read more

We stepped into this Home Depot today to find wood to make a projector mount. When we entered, it didn't seem like a very inviting store and it was almost impossible to find an employee to get help from. We understand the store seemed low-staffed and we were patient, but it made the experience difficult. We finally found an employee to help but she was slightly rude and sent us to an aisle that didn't have anything to do with what we were looking for. Again, we understand being low-staffed can be out of the control of the store. However, the employees we did find were very unhelpful. When we found another employee, he said he wasn't trained for the aisle we were looking for. Four employees later, we finally found someone who was willing to help. However, at this point we had been there for awhile and figured it would be easier to go home and get what we needed from Amazon. I bought some wire shelving yesterday and since they were cut too long, I came back today to get them trimmed. I have been here for 30 minutes, spoken to 3 associates to get help and had heard 2 pages for someone to help. Finally the associate found his way to my aisle and instead of coming to help me when I signaled I had him paged, he has stopped to help everyone else before getting to me. Then...he had to read the instructions on how to use the pneumatic cutter as he had never used it. I had to show him how to use it....man, this is excruciating. At the 40 minute mark now and he walked away, mumbling to himself and I have no idea where he is. He just came back, mumbling to himself and is cutting my shelving. I went into the store to get pavers, play sand, and a few other things for my project. A manager from a store in Oregon assisted me. He said that they were REALLY trying to turn that store around. I found that everyone I encountered was very friendly and willing to assist. I will also say that this store's prices were much cheaper than the Lowes down the street. Not a single manager will lift their fingers. I sat on hold for 45 minutes while the customer service people kept saying "I'm transferring you to a manager" but it will just ring and ring. No one will help you. You are in your own. I eventually rented a U-Haul in the time they refused to help with my question! I wanted to extend my rental truck but these people can't be bothered to actually work! They just pick up the phone and immediately put you on hold! Then the system hangs up on you! One lady said let her call rentals first and when she didn't get an answer, explained the manager was standing next to her. I waited for 20 minutes before the system conveniently hung up on me for the 7th time in 45 minutes. At that point I cancelled my reservation and booked with UHaul. In March 2023, I purchased a set of Samsung home appliances from The Home Depot (fridge, wash/dryer, dishwasher). What transpired after, lead to multiple days I had to miss work, calling a plumber and paying out of my own pocket, failed deliveries, wrong people sent, delivery drivers not trying to deliver at all, damage to my home, damage to my new appliances and an endless series of people who just wanted to push me off onto the next person. The process was draining, and all on top of my stressful work life: 6 day work weeks and 12 hour work days engineering/manufacturing, including a boss who isn't so understanding about missing work *multiple* days for an appliance delivery. This experience was an unwelcome challenge. I filed a claim with BBB, I asked for the repairs be made to my house and appliance and compensation for missed pay. I was assigned to Kelly Wood. Results were mixed. Repairs to my home were somewhat satisfactory, but damage to my new refrigerator were never made, "warranty" claim still open with no resolution (the delivery team misaligning the fridge's french doors with an impact tool and dents and scratches from each time the fridge was loaded and unloaded from a delivery truck - more than 4 times). Side note: If you know how warranties work, you know the above isn't warranty .... but like I said, I've endured an endless onslaught of people who just wanted me to be someone else's problem. Honestly, I cannot take more time off of work to meet with - yet another person who will inevitably say that it's not their problem... I digress - Kelly Wood was, yet again, just someone who wants to push me off of her plate. She made several attempts early on to close the BBB case without resolution. First was prior to my first contact with the 3rd party insurer who was assigned to resolve the damage done to my home. She lied about making an offer, twice, all in order to close the BBB claim without resolution. Now, after failing to follow-up and reject her 3rd attempt to close it without resolution, she was successful. Kelly, now, won't return my emails. Thanks for the experience, it's a lesson learned on how to *NOT* treat a customer. Eye-opening look at the culture of large corporations who mistreat their customers (or allow 3rd parties to do so) then drag customers through the trenches of CSR hell until they give up because it just isn't worth the headache. In my line of work, we have designed a culture to protect the customer from idle, careless or negligent employees/3rd parties. "Speak up", "Think Customer" and "It's On Me". It's clear that this is not the culture at The Home Depot, and I'd be ashamed to work for a customer-centric company who perpetuates a culture to do what is easy instead of what is right. *** One positive I can say about a member of your team, was the store manager at the Franklin, TN store who did everything he could to help me to get estimates for the damage they caused and help me get my washer working after the 3rd party left it without hooking it up because the hose wouldn't reach. I live alone, and had to complete the install and make the adjustment myself. It's been so long, I'm truly upset I don't remember his name - he deserves recognition for his efforts, I do hope you can find him and reward him for his "it's on me" attitude. And also the ladies at the Antioch Home Depot who are trying to put $30 back in my card (it's a digital card so there is no way to put it in a physical card, which they need to process my refund - so that will go unfulfilled, but that isn't their fault.) read more

Stay away from the Antioch store. I found a clearance item for laminate flooring in Hendersonville but they only had 3 boxes. They said the Antioch store has 57. So the store called to confirm and place the order. The employee in Antioch said they could not find 57 boxes, but only had 35. So I paid for the 35 and said I would pick it up. When we went to pick up, they said they don't have the material, that they sold it to someone who took the whole batch. This cannot be true sunce they counted and confirmed what they had and I paid for it all. Only think that makes sense is they sold it to a friend since it was such a good price. The manager said he will refund my order, wow how nice of him. No I can match or give you something similar. I lost a good price, paid someone to drive to Antioch and pick up my order, and 3 hours on the phone with them. Don't shop there. Can't trust them. read more

We stopped into Home Depot for some specific plants we were looking for and their garden center was disappointingly empty. The gentleman that was working in the garden center didn't know anything about any of the landscaping things we were asking about or the plants we were looking for and had to ask someone else...and they didn't know either so he pulled out his phone and recommended we go to Walmart...seriously?! As we were picking up some potting soil and fertilizer, a gentleman that worked at Home Depot saw us struggling to get the big bag into the cart and just walked by without offering any help. I purchased new windows in January. All went well until I had to deal with the installation subcontractor. They don't show up on the scheduled installation dates. The communication is non existent and they don't care about the customer. They just blow you off. After contacting HD corporate office I gave them one more chance to get the windows installed. After preparing my home for the fifth time, another no show, or the decency of a phone call. Called the office several times no response, I also called the store still waiting on a call back. Went to the Bell Road Home Depot at perhaps one of the busiest times of the day and got the few items we'd come for, including a new kitchen faucet. We went through self checkout, and when we had an issue, Andrae was there to help. She was wonderfully patient as she looked for the item in the system, and when a price change was necessary, she called over a manager and apologized for the brief wait (less than two minutes). The manager Jen came right over, was polite, fast, and efficient, and gave us a great deal on the product we purchased. We will definitely go back to this Home Depot again. Thanks Ladies! read more

I went in today around 12:30 just to pick up a certain kind of wrench for my husband and the cashier who helped me was very rude. Her apron said Wendy. Her mask wasn't covering her nose and when she sneezed she didn't cover her face. While she was ringing me up, I put on some hand sanitizer and she said something along the lines of "can you wait until I'm done and do that outside" so I said "oh sorry well you sneezed and I just wanted to make sure my hands were clean." She didn't say anything after that, I paid in cash and she put my change and the receipt down and started talking to the next person behind me. I'm not usually one to leave reviews, but I've never had a cashier be so rude to me before. We usually go to Lowe's but I figured I'd try Home Depot since it was closer but if thats how the employees are trained, I'll never buy from here again. read more

Here I am, temporarily handicapped with a cane (recent surgery) and got wood with NO assistance at all, was told to pull under canopy and they would load, tie and put red flags on them. No one there and went inside to ask for stapler for red flags and not one available. Cashier,(mature white woman) unwilling to assist or even call for assistance. Very poor management oversight and 'contractor personnel' need to be available to assist, especially a handicapped person. Never again will I come here. read more

I am a contractor. I shop at Home Depot because the prices are good in the selection is great. I know the managers at most of the locations including this one. It isn't easy to find help in any store. They constantly are trying to hire new people, but it is hard to find knowledgeable people to work in a home-improvement store.If you will research and use the downloadable app on your phone it will help you find things in the store. But you cannot Expect a great deal of service when shopping in a budget store. If you want great service go to a lumberyard like walker or Ace true value they have better service there but not as big a selection and you'll pay more usually. But I enjoy going to Home Depot and I've learned to deal with the lack of help in the store by getting to know the few people who are there and by increasing my patience. read more

I've had good experiences overall. We been here at least a dozen times in the past month and the only thing I can say is not good is some of the employees don't know anything, but they still try and help the best they know how. But some know their stuff like the flooring guy and a lady in the nail department sorry can't recall names. And the paint person. But the other ones seem to try as hard as they can in my shopping experiences. They do have more variety than Lowe's and ace hardware. Prices well their all the same at each store. That's saying a lot because I'm from Chicago area so there is Menards, Home Depot and Lowe's everywhere. If you can actually find someone who works there to ask them a questions, you will probably get 1) the wrong answer, 2) told to ask somebody else. I have had some really, really bad experiences here over the last three years. Once, I needed a home repair estimate for insurance purposes and it took this Home Depot location 6 WEEKS to finally get me the correct repair estimate. I thought that was crazy, because if they would have just sent me the estimate they could have the work. I have been here more than 20 times. We shop here a lot for both house and lawn items, because it is closer to where i live and the prices here are cheaper than the ones at Lowe's (I have observed that the ceiling fan i bought at Lowe's can be found at Home Depot for half the price). Parking lot is huge and i can always find a spot near to the exit or entrance. The store is spacious, well organized and has good lighting. Upon Pulling into the Home Depot parking lot we saw the loss prevention representative chasing after a customer who was stealing, recognizing this as we do at other stores we went right into action to try to assist. The guy got away with one small item and the LPN was very thankful. We have seen him several times and interacted with him on a number of occasions and he is a very professional polite member of the team at the Antioch Home Depot. As I went back to my car to get my personal items to come in and shop I saw him in the customer service area and stop to speak to him. We were discussing what happened and he was thanking me and showing his appreciation while we discussed another situation that happened at another store I stepped between the two countertops, not behind the counter top but between the two countertops and after about two minutes of discussing with him another scenario, I hear a voice from behind me say "excuse me". Now at first when you hear someone say excuse me without looking you move forward to try to get out of someone's way who may be trying to get back. It did seem like someone needed to get by because they were persistent in their "excuse me's ". I was in mid conversation and was trying to finish what I was saying as I turned a little bit to see who it was behind me to possibly move out of their way more because who would continuously ask you excuse me while you're in mid conversation if they really did not need you to move out of the way. Most polite people would wait until you're done speaking and then say oh excuse me sir and tell them what you need it. However the staff member named Claudette, repeated herself several Times but being the person I am I did finish what I was trying to say to the loss prevention person. And as I turned around she was saying something else but being as rude as she was while I was speaking to someone I ignored what she said and went on about my day. This store seems like it really needs some help. The rudeness and inconsiderate tones with the staff members and their immediate supervisors shows that no one in the store has been trained properly. Again I will reference the hundred Oaks Home Depot on Armory Drive with the store manager as Evan and the assistant manager Mike and the other assistant manager Vince are a great team and I can't tell you the last time that I had someone speak to me rudely or be inconsiderate to me and shows zero respect for the customer who is actually about to spend $2000 in your store on a number of doors that I was purchasing for a customer. The inconsiderate tone of Claudette whom I have never encountered in the store to my recollection was completely inappropriate, and while it does not rise to my opinion of someone that should be fired if I was a manager I would 100% put a mark in her personal file and have a conversation with her on some chips to improve her personal interaction with customers. She should understand that customers whether they're in the wrong by stepping over a line by 12 inches or not it's still a customer and if you want them to continue to spend hundreds of thousands of dollars in your stores every day you should learn to treat them with a little bit more respect. Claudette should really try to reach out to her management team and find out if there are any classes that she can take on how to treat customers, or what to do in a situation that she encounters with a customer. I hope the new manager Gina can turn this staff member around and teach her to be a little bit more polite to customers. I would love to rate the store with a five star rating the next time I leave a review but things have to change at the store before that can happen. I will buy my doors today at another store and if that does not pan out well I may have to go to Lowe's. Happy shopping everyone. read more

He hides in his office and refuses to help employees when they are clearly needing help because this store is understaffed because no employee stays. This store has done a 180 and gone straight to trash since they let him be manager. He doesn't even know how to use any of the store systems or even use a basic register. If you want a discount HES THE MAN. He's scared of any angry customer and will 100% give every single customer a discount even when it doesn't make any sense. So just ask. This store has lost countless priceless employees. The only manager who actually cared and was knowledgeable and would do anything to help his employees and customers was Jeremy. I feel so bad for the employees who have sank their entire life into this store just to build it up and then have it completely pissed away. Marvin is seriously the most wonderful employee here!!! Trying to buy a lawnmower for Father's Day today. We asked for help. The lady at the front said " we're short ", another guy said " I'm on break." It would have been nicer to say, we will send someone to help you instead of just ignoring us. My husband started getting frustrated and found a step ladder, he started getting the lawnmower himself. I beg someone to help him and finally someone did, but the employee does not really know what he is doing. He kept pointing to the lawnmower we don't want. We gave him the model and pointed to the one we need. He appears to be untrained. Ended up driving to Smyrna! It is their lost revenue. Really bad service! It is important for Antioch businesses to gain customers trust. We get a bad reputation already as a community when we have amazing, hardworking folks who live here. I'm not a happy camper with home depo went in on a 72 hr.install was wrote up as a office job after waiting 4 days was told I was written up as residence verus a commercial and the price was over double and their was a 10 to 14 day wait for install.also was told could ask to cancel warranty and proceed with order only to be told couldn't do that and the place where you place your order is the only place you can make changes not a store I want to visit again anytime soon. Looking for help. Where are the helpers? Close by and low prices are nice, but I NEED help. The going joke during the '80's was you went to a small hometown hardware store to learn how to do something and went to Home Depot to buy something. During the 90's when all the hometown hardware stores closed, it seemed all the knowledgeable hardware guys went to work at Home Depot. You could learn how to do something and buy it. All the old guys must have died off because you can not find someone who knows something at Home Depot if your life depended on it. All there are is young people who know nothing and stare at you when you ask a question. Meanwhile, if you need help getting something in your car, they all are on break. Please Home Depot, hire people who know their department or better yet, train the new young people how to be helpful and know their department. My husband and I shop at Home Depot often,usually at the Powell Ave location across from 100 Oaks. Today, we had to visit the Bell Rd location because the pipe cutter was out of service for the plumbing job we were attempting. Shortly after we got to the plumbing aisle Rob walked up smiling and offering assistance. First, he patiently allowed my husband to explain just what we wanted to and how he planned to go about it...which was expensive , time consuming and just plain wrong! Rob was not only very knowledgeable but had completed a similar project of his own. Lucky us...he carefully explained the process and helped us to select the right material for the job as well as the tools necessary to get things done right. And a shoutout to the other staff member who climbed on the ladder to get our piping and offered advice too! Did not get his name. We are so grateful for Rob's help and valuable advice. I see why this location only has 2 stars. It speaks to the poor/pathetic service and inefficiency at this location. Not to mention if you have a scheduled appointment...... the day of the installment you receive a call on your home number when you specifically asked them to call your cell phone due to work schedule and the only option they give you would be to reschedule. You want me to reschedule a scheduled appointment??? I blame Home Depot for having substandard contractors who just google your home location and report that they've been there. Why continue to put good money into this location when I've constantly been met with incompetence , unprofessionalism, and disorganization. It's like they want to sell you a product, but don't deliver on what they sell. A business of quality will go the extra mile to meet the needs of dissatisfied customers and Home Depot on Bell Road failed miserably.
