Decided at the last minute we needed a grill to cook our 4th of July dinner. Literally last minute! They did have an amazing sale going on. We were met in the grill area with Earnest. He was so very helpful! We thought we knew what we wanted and needed it in a box due to the size of our car. He helped us measure the grill we initially thought we needed but upon recommendation we ended up with a Traeger pellet grill. Had never used one before but have eaten several meals from one. It was an even better sale with just 1 left, already assembled. It was no problem for Earnest. He got right to assisting us disassemble it so it would fit in the car. He truly went above and beyond with higher than 5 stars for sure. If visiting this Home Depot please ask for Earnest. He will steer you in the right direction!! read more

I needed three screws to reattach handles to my West Elm dresser. I knew this wouldn't be an easy find, so I allotted ample time for the search for the correct screws. First I tried to find them myself in the hardware section. There were so many screws to choose from, I knew I needed help. I didn't think it would be easy to find someone to help me, but I asked, and a clerk was sent my way. He was so patient and skillful in locating a screw that would fit the handle. He determined that I needed a "metric" size. After trying several sizes, he found a size that would fit: M4 12mm I bought 2 packs of 2 each, for $5.67. I took the screws home and yes, they fit but I neglected to account for the /2 inch width of the drawer. They were too short to go all the way in. So I took them back and found another helpful clerk to find longer screws. (It was no problem to return the them.) He quickly found a package of 4 20mm screws that would be long enough. Nd the 4 screws were only $2.89! What a deal! I went home and the screws worked perfectly! read more

Walked in to the store to buy a grill, once I asked for an associate to assist me I waited about 20 minutes. Once the associate came to assist they tried to say that we could not buy a fully assembled grill without supervisor approval. No one knew what they were doing just all in all a bad experience do not recommend. Terrible service read more

Horrible I cannot shop without being followed, targeted or harassed from loss prevention. I spend hundreds of dollars at Home Depot and every time I shop I see loss prevention stalking me and hiding behind displays. I can see them hiding and stalking others as well. Why would anyone want to shop and be stalked while purchasing items at this location. I shop at other hardware stores and never have this issue. Damaged floors. I bought a washer from Home Depot and payed for the 3 year protection plan. The pump on the washer burned out. After placing a claim ticket in, technician Luciano Mendez, first day on the job as he claimed, came out, replaced the pump but did not place the clamp on the drain hose before installing the back panel on the washer. He then proceeded to start the washer and leaves. By the time I get back in my house my entire downstairs is flooded, he came back fixed it and cleaned up and apologizes. Even with pictures of proof with timestamps while the technician was here the technician now denies responsibility and Home Depot is taking his side taking his word over all of the proof and pictures I have. My floors are damaged beyond repair. I have never felt so frustrated and neglected as a customer. read more

The Home Depot what can I say. You have plants, lumber, tools galore, etc, etc, etc. You can build a house from the items for sale here. My needs are DIY tools and price points. As a new homeowner; Home Depot is a weekly visit. One day paint, some brushes and everything you need to paint a room. Another visit, gardening stuff, and tools. They have it all; at various price points. We have bought over half a dozen power tools. Drill, circular saw, miter saw, nail gun and more. All from Ryobi. The brand seems to work for DIY people. The tools all use the 18V battery which is very cool. The DIY videos really are user-friendly. I really enjoy the gardening section. They seem to have everything in plants. Just remember to buy your plants in season. I am new to this home ownership stuff. I have to YouTube everything. Sometimes I feel silly but once I go over the videos a few times. I can go to Home Depot and purchase what I need at good price points. I am a Home Depot fan. This location is my go-to place. Plenty of parking. Friendly service. Never had an issue returning stuff in any Home Depot across several states. Just do your homework before you purchase anything. read more

Just picked up a $80 wet/dry shop vac via curbside but had some other stuff to do before starting on a project that required it. Imagine my surprise when I went to open my new item and found it had already been used! First clue was the loosely applied packing tape. Open it up to find dirty equipment just thrown in a box in a jumble. Are you kidding me? Who does that? What's more, because their phone just rings and rings 158 time (I tried twice) I get to haul in this box that weighs half as much as I do for the privilege of finding out if they actually have a new one of these in stock. read more

Buyer beware!! I spent hours assembling a $650 patio table from Hampton Bay, the Home Depot brand. I went to get another tool to tighten the bolts on the chairs and the glass on the table shattered. Nobody was near it, it was obviously defective. I was shattered along with the glass as I spent HOURS assembling the table and the chairs are especially hard. I call the store and asked for a manager. I talked to Mike and after a long hold he told me that they couldn't help me. I asked if he was the store manager and he said he was. I asked again are you the general manager of the store? He said that "Theresa" was but she won't be in until next week and she would tell me the same thing. I asked to speak with somebody else and he put me on the phone with another gentlemen that said the same thing but this time said it was "Linda's" decision but I couldn't speak with her. I asked for the District Managers number and he gave me the stores number in sunset valley. I called that store and they told me he only pops in there sometimes and it wasn't his store. I have gotten the complete run around. My brand new table is completely worthless. The management staff was totally rude. They told me that returning it doesn't make sense to them financially. Does a customer losing out on $650 and their time make sense? It is brand new, just unboxed not even finished being assembled (chairs). I walked in today to return some lumber in exchange to get something else I needed. Well the exchange part went smooth but the people that were over working at the lumber were not Much of any help. No one asked if I needed anything, so I loaded 10 of the 2x4x16 alone, 3 of the 2x12x16 alone, then I needed 2 of the 2x8x16 that were up 3 levels high. I asked the fork lift guy if he can get them Down for me and all he did was pointed at them to me, walked away and never came back after waiting for him. Absolute worst The Home Depot store I have ever been to. I have a stack of refund receipts and Special Orders for ONE transaction due to the number of errors the staff made. They essentially sell you something they don't have inventory for, but they will tell you they have inventory. Bill W. is the manager or at Assistant Manager who assisted and he was absolutely horrible. Multiple promises and he never delivered on dates. Long story short I ended up refunding 75% of the flooring I Special Ordered and was in an out at Lowe's within 3 hours with what I needed, the FIRST time. TRAINWRECK!! I am almost 60 years old. I have been going to Home Depots since they opened. I have been to many different stores and had great experiences...this store....not so much.... We went to the Slaughter Home Depot to buy appliances. The sale itself was fine. We loved Jimmy the appliance sales guy. Paid a bit over $4000 for a Samsung Washer & Dryer, a LG Fridge all the parts to hook them up and a warranty. That is where our world went to crap. On our scheduled delivery date, two weeks after our order and the day we moved into our new house I waited patiently for them to arrive. They did not show or call. I called Daryl Flood Logistics HD's Austin delivery service the next day only to be told our appliances were never received from the vendor. When I asked why they did not call me to tell me that , I got no answer. They told me they would have the appliances to me in five days later. Four days later a representative from Daryl Flood called and told me my dryer had been damaged in transit and they had requested another one and they should have it in a few days. They told me they would hold on to my fridge and washer until the dryer arrived. I told them I was in a house without a fridge and since they had it in Austin they needed to deliver it. The response..."We don't like to split deliveries on an order. It messes up our paperwork". I proceeded to beg her to ask a manager to have the fridge delivered. She said she would call back. She did not. I went to HD for help. The lady was very nice, got Daryl Flood on the phone, but they blew her off too. She handed me the phone. I proceeded to tell the woman I was standing in the middle of HD's appliance department with customers all around making sure everyone knew how crappy they treated their customers and that I was going to write reviews on Google and Yelp that might make customers think twice about buying at HD costing them lots of monet due to having to deal with Daryl Flood and then asked for a manager. She put me on hold, came back and agreed to deliver the appliances they had. They came to my house six days after the original delivery date. None of the hook-up hoses were delivered with the appliances. I went to Home Depot, bought what I needed and installed the appliances myself. The dryer showed up a few days later, again with none of the hoses needed for hookup. I went to HD and was given what were supposed to be the proper items....they did not fit, I went back and got the right stuff myself. Luckily I have experiences hooking up gas appliances or I would have been screwed! In the end, Home Depot owes me in excess of $100 for the installation charges and parts I never got. I am still waiting for the money. With the exception of Jimmy, the employees I spoke with at this Home Depot were simply clueless. Apparently the store has high turnover. I would not recommend this Home Depot location. read more

I've been in this store about three times. It is a small Home Depot store compared to the rest I've been in. It's not that I haven't been able to find what I need, it's just more compressed in space than usual. Finding a person to help you is futile, so only go here if you know what you need and are willing to look for it yourself. The checkout staff are genuinely nice the few times I've been in. Overall, an okay location. It seemed smaller than the one I usually go to on S 35. I wish the aisle signs were more detailed. I circled around a few times trying to find air filters and a door mat and I had to ask an employee where other things on my list were located. My latest experience is that after ordering a dishwasher and installation and waiting a week, the guy shows up and says I need 2 more parts. So I go back to Home Depot and after 45 minutes the poor girl trying to help me says she cant be certain what parts are needed. And that's after trying to talk to the installer and the product rep. Needed to grab a couple pieces of wood, and have them cut so they would fit in my car. Store completely empty, only a couple customers. Asked FOUR times for someone to cut the wood for me. After 30 MINUTES, still sitting here waiting as I type this. An entire hardware store full of employees standing around - not a single one can cut a piece of 2x4 in half. EDIT: Changing from 1 star to 4. Everyone I interacted with there was incredibly nice and apologetic. They actually gave me $10 off due to the wait, which I didn't ask for nor expect. Upon reflection, I would rather shop somewhere with genuinely nice people, even if it takes more time. I'm sorry for my poor attitude. This Home Depot store has been great! I recently had an online order I picked up here and everything went smoothly. When I stopped in my order was at the front counter and there was a spot clearly marked at the counter that said, "online order pick up." It was easy to figure out. The staff that helped me out was super nice. I was picking up a oil-less fryer, which was pretty big and heavy. I had plenty of assistance and offers to help me out, which I appreciated. This store looks to have a pretty bad rep from the ratings, but I had an absolutely stellar experience here today thanks to 3 employees: Trace, Espy and Jason. First of all, I bought a set of Ryobi lawn equipment way back in March. Basically it was a weed eater (I guess that term used to be trademarked LOL) attachment, edger attatchment and blower attachment that all fit on a "plug and play" Ryobi gas motor. Don't ever buy one of these systems - it's junk! That would be $350 worth of garbage! Originally, I thought I'd be saving some cash buying attachments, but quickly I realized what a sucker I was going this route. I was even all excited and planned to buy other attachments. I had visions of the complete Ryobi lawn care attachment collection on the wall of my garage! GOTTA CATCH 'EM ALL! Thank goodness I never got around to it. I got 4 FULL uses out of the edger head. The 5th use was occurring when something snapped inside the motor and it was spinning freely around. The weed eater head fell apart on the first use months back. I never even opened the blower. I went into Home Depot today with the intention of begging for store credit so I could get something better before my useless HOA comes down on me for not edging or something. And guess what? I didn't even need to beg! I described my experience. Espy listened and was very friendly and called over her manager Trace to help with the return. Both were soooooo incredibly understanding and sympathetic to my plight. It had been over 90 days with no receipt. That sounds grim, but they looked up my credit card to find the charge. As long as I wanted store credit for the $350, they said they could easily take the return as "return to vendor." Trace then called Jason over for some personalized service. He walked me through some alternate brands and I ended up with a Black and Decker electric edger and a Echo weed eater.. Also picked up a hedge trimmer as well which was one of the attachments I was eyeing next. Great return policy and understanding customer service! Thanks to that easy return, I will (continue to) be a repeat shopper! read more

I hate going to any home improvement store. However we had a good experience here while buying a new washer and dryer. The clerk was very nice and wanted to make sure we got the best deal possible. This home depot is close to where I live at and I go there when I need something quick. It's true what other review mention, it hard to find someone who can help you. But I always get help when I go to the garden center, I don't remember her name but she is very helpful to the point she recommend other stores where I can get what I am looking for when home depot doesn't carry the item. Both time, I have gone there. She has answer my questions. Some biz won't bother doing this. I think they can do better by hiring more Pattie people to around Home depot use to be the store you want to go for help but they are going down hill & Lowe's seen to be the new place to visit.. as I say before, i only go there when I need something really quick... read more

I have never once had an issue with this store. I love the location, it is a place where I meet people coming in from out of town (in the parking lot by the IHOP) and the staff is fab! I love the Zep products here and can always count on this place for nails, screws, paint, weed-eater line, whatever. Please take note that there will be people wanting work hanging around outside from time to time and they have no fear when it comes to walking up to strangers to ask for a job. Don't be alarmed. I give them mad props for doing that and at least they try! This place always lets me go in with my leashed beagles, too, and that is a major plus-ita.... I mean I know it seems like there is a Home Depot on every corner in some areas, but I really like this one and praise its staff, hours of operation, inventory, and the fact that you can SELF check out if you want to. I have just had too many good experiences here, and hope that continues while I am in such close proximity to this location. I also regularly get great hibiscus plants from here, too! read more

I seem to be coming here more often for small home improvements. Parking can be chaotic but the employees are helpful and very nice. It is super convenient that I can place an order online and in a few hours I can come by and pick it up. It saves me so much time in searching for things. I know a lot of stores are doing this and it is so helpful. Glad to have this close by when I need to run and get more for the garden! read more
