So surprised by how easy this whole fridge replacement process was! I wanted a new counter depth fridge for my kitchen, so I went on Home Depot, bought a fridge on sale, and I picked a delivery date and they delivered just that! They called me when they were on their way, which was right in their delivery window. They showed up with the new fridge, installed it and even put the old fridge outside. Before they left, they made sure everything in the new fridge worked, and even, made sure that the fridge outside worked. Very respectful and the whole thing happened within an hour. Will definitely be ordering from then again. read more

They always have everything I need when I show up, like every other Home Depot but I always seem to get the worst customer service at this location! First associate I saw had no idea what I was asking about so she sent someone over to help, no one showed, stopped the next associate I saw and he seemed irritated I was asking for help but came over anyways and while he's walking our way his phone starts to ring & I jokingly say "do you need to get that?" And he actually says yes!! 100% not a work call but I'm left stranded again on getting some help finding the correct air filter. 3rd times a charm at the counter, I grabbed everything I needed except for the air filter and was trying to check out, they still had another 30 minutes till closing but you could tell the cashier was already off work mentally, on her phone and when I walk up she says nothing and I ask "how are you doing?"... I receive no response at all!! I get it, probably part time and just trying to survive with these gas prices but don't show up and to cash your check if you don't have any value you're bringing to the table. After all of this Home Depot is still the go to! They're always their with what I need for work, home or whatever random screw or bolt I need. I genuinely feel bad for management. Had to get some stain for a small outdoor job. An employee saw I needed assistance and got the paint guy to help. He knew exactly what I needed, blended it, shook it and I was on my way. Not a long review- just a shout out for good service by a very good Home Depot employee. read more

Great Customer Service!! I want to express how impressed and satisfied I am with the customer service I received this morning around 8:30am. As I walked in the store I had a list of things to get with very little knowledge on where to find my items. A vendor named Dj noticed I looked lost, even though he looked like he was heading to do something else he stopped and asked me if I needed help. He helped me find each thing I needed and then sent Amanda to help me with light bulbs. Then the store manager came to help us find just exactly what I needed. (All in a timely manner. I was finished in about 10 mins) I am very pleased and thankful for the help today. I like to acknowledge a job well done when it's deserved. Good job Home Depot of highland. read more

Don't ever order major appliances from Home Depot! I'm writing on behalf of my mom. She had almost 6' of water in her house during the August 2016 flood in Baton Rouge. She did not have any flood insurance coverage on the content of her house and she lost everything...like so many others. Well, her house has been worked on, and she ordered all of her major appliances from Home Depot online during the Black Friday sale. Well, the appliances finally got delivered on January 4 after waiting over a month. Guess what? The refrigerator won't fit in the space. She's been calling Home Depot since the 6th of January to see about having the refrigerator returned. She's had to make at least 6 phone calls, always to get the runaround and have to retell her story each time. A store manager, named Ronnie, at the Highland Road store #370 has told her that she can return the refrigerator, but she has to get it back to the store herself and she will be charged a $250 restocking fee, or 15% of the purchase price. She is a 70 year old woman on a fixed income who received no financial help from FEMA or any other source...and now the Home Depot is going to treat her like this?! Home Depot should be ashamed of itself for treating customers this way. But it really feels as if they don't care, because hey, they've made millions from this disaster. It seems very disheartening that on Sunday, January 22 she was waiting at the customer service desk at the Coursey Blvd store #375 regarding an unrelated issue, and a customer in front of her was having a similar issue with major appliances that had been delivered to her house. Because this woman was being more persistent and aggressive than my mom has been, the rep at the service counter put in a work order to have her appliances picked up the next day! And no mention of any restocking fee was mentioned to this woman. My mom has a legitimate reason for needing to return her fridge....this woman was demanding hers be returned because she didn't see in the fine print that Home Depot would not install her appliances. So why does Home Depot treat one customer much better than another?? It's just been appalling and, quite frankly, extremely Don't any large corporations give a damn about their regular customers any more? read more

Saturday afternoon and Home Depot has two registers open, each with a line a mile long, and all the self checkouts closed. We stood for 10 minutes or so, then just left. Totally unacceptable. And this is the second time in the last couple months I've had to bail. Time is a very valuable thing to some people. Home Depot apparently doesn't grasp that concept at all. read more

I have never been a fan of THE Home Depot but it was convenient to shop here last Sunday for some pansies and ornamental cabbages. They had a large selection in the 2.5 quart containers like we were searching for. We purchased many (25 total) of them. We returned home and began planting. Once in the thick of it it was apparent these pansies were recently replanted from smaller/tiny containers into the 2.5 quart pots as the root system had not spread. We went on about our planting in hopes they will take in my flower bed. We will see....and i hope not to be visiting THD in the next couple months looking for my money back. read more

Not a bad home improvement store. Employees are tough to track down, if you can find them at all. When you do find them, they are usually pretty cheerful and helpful. Their stock is not that great, and there's a good chance you won't find what you came for unless it's very basic. It's about what you expect from a Home Depot store. read more

It's been 50 days since I've purchased a door and installation from Home Depot and I've had 3 scheduled appts and 3 no-shows from the install guy. 23 phone calls to Home Depot and the installer and I still don't have a date for my install. I dropped by the store today and was told they're doing all they can and they're waiting for the district manager to decide if they will pull an installer from the New Orleans area or hire someone new. And if they hire someone they'll have to do interviews and background checks and training. So I'm looking at at least another 30 days for the install. And I'm not the only one having this issue...anyone waiting on an install in the Baton Rouge area is in the same boat as me. In the end, if you ever want the installation that you paid for, go someplace else!! read more

run! run away from this place as fast as you can! I came here to buy shipping boxes, because I have enough sense to use my Home Depot app to see which stores have the quantity of the items I need. Upon arrival I go to the place where the shipping boxes are and there are ZERO of the boxes I need and plenty of shipping boxes stored up where they aren't within reach. After waiting 30 minutes for some customer service associate to find a forklift AND 2 associates to go to search for one, I had to personally walk across the store in Lumber to ask someone to be next in line for the forklift. 15 minutes later there was a forklift available. They had to drive it back around to the box section only to find that out of all the boxes up at the top, none of them were mine and they could not find the inventory. After wasting an hour of my time they told us to place the order online for pickup and I could get it in the morning. I called to see if it was ready and of course it wasn't. 3 days later, I tried to cancel the order because I flew to another state after the holiday and this Home Depot stole my money! They told me that it has to be out of "processing" before they can cancel it. I called customer service on them and I'm still waiting 20 minutes on hold for them to try to talk some sense into them. The management needs some serious improvement. read more

They have a lot if you can find what you're looking for but their employees are very hard to find. When you do find one, they look bothered by your questions. The tv commercials show them being happy and helpful. It is quite the opposite! And then you have to check out. Your choice, get in line with 100 other people at the one line open with a disgruntled cashier, a real person, or ring your own items. I do not get a discount when I ring my own items so why the hell would I want to do someone elses job? People do not like the self check out lines! I know you are reducing payroll by having self checkout but it sucks. Now to the live person checkout...usually disgruntled because everyone bypasses the self check out. I bought 1 cabinet, $84.00 plus 20% off. I was rang up for $923. When I informed her that price was incorrect, I caught attitude like I just stole her lunchbox...the she had to call someone, who took forever to get there, and he told her it was $84 plus 20% off to ring the bar code sheet. She had a sheet of sales items to ring the discounts and instead of just looking, I had to wait for someone else to show up then run back to do the price check, then all the way back, then she huffed at the man who came to help us...huffed at my wife and I. I will never shop in a store that does nothing but lie to customers. If you tell a customer that something can be done, don't turn around and say it cannot. If an employee says yes, the manager should back it up. Instead, they would rather tell you the employee had no right to tell you they could. ZERO integrity and honesty. read more
