*** Another project update for my shower head on Wed., 6-3-26)*** My Moen shower head with side sprayer popped off the ball socket type of attachment onto the shower floor. Luckily, it didn't break. Unfortunately, I have an older type shower arm with a ball socket on the end. I had tried to turn the shower head, not realizing that it could only pivot up and down, so I caused it to pop off. After numerous tries on my own and tutorials on YouTube to figure it out, I finally decided to bring the whole shower head with parts to Home Depot to ask my "go-to" guy, Steve, in Plumbing for assistance. Steve wasn't there, but no worries; Vinny was there to the rescue. He escorted me to the area wall of parts to show me the adapters; however, after further conversation and inspection of my shower head, he told me it was relatively simple to re-install it. I went home to immediately do just that and in less than 10 minutes and without any tools, it was back in position securely. I tested out the water right away and, no leaks or spurts were anywhere. Thank you Vinny (if you get wind of this review) and The Home Depot for having considerate, knowledgeable and helpful employees to assist those of us in need for "Do-it-yourself" type of projects. Absolutely horrendous!!! It's shameful really. 2 times I went in and wasn't able to get help in the kitchen area. There was someone there that seemed good! - but she had people and waiting seemed endless. The first time idk what happened. But both x I left sorta frustrated. I figured I would make an appointment with someone in kitchen hopefully get the woman who seemed good. On two different occasions I called, and literally got no one at all, except for answering machines. What a joke - then when you try to get to the operator, you get disconnected. When I call back the second time, they must've recognized my number and automatically put me through to kitchen and again got no one except some sales guys answering service. Gross. Well f u HD. I'll get all new appliances at the Place across the street... you know - it starts w an L. So because of your incompetence, you lost a $6,000.00 or more sale. And guess what - I don't think people reading this, will be so keen to run to you. Get your shit together. read more

Some pretty low review ratings at this Home Depot in the Westwinds of Boca. Had a few other engagements in the same plaza and decided to check out the lighting section. My experience was not bad and they did have a decent selection led lighting and the normal large bbq offerings as most Home Depot stores do. Noticed a staff member in a few of the aisles helping customers. Thats the big thing here, the customer service is great. I always check YouTube for DIY stuff for my home but these guys provide valuable info from experience. I'm sure Home Depot and Lowes get hurt from online purchases through Amazon, which maybe why its never busy at most locations. On my way out, I noticed three bins for "save the earth" to dispose of rechargeable batteries, fluorescent bulbs and plastics. Not sure if this is used often by customers but it seems like a good idea. read more

This review is for Joel Kaye, Kitchen & Bath Design Consultant located inside the store. My son is doing his kitchen through Home Depot in New York and I had some Questions with cabinet samples and the original quotes. I thought I would just try my local store and I can't tell you how wonderful Joel was. From the moment I walked into the kitchen area he just wanted to help me. I even apologized for taking his time and he repeatedly told me it was not a problem. He showed me exactly the cabinet that was sent. He gave me insight into what was being done and even helped by showing some alternatives. I wish we could import him up to New York because he was so easy to deal with and so willing to help and educate me on everything about designing a kitchen. I truly appreciate his time and expertise. So if anyone in the area is updating their kitchen you must check with Joel first. read more

The main store was very quiet but spent some time in the garden center. The plants always seem fresh and taken care of. Looking for a small colorful plant for my balcony so it will get plenty of sun. The plants were nicely organized on the tables and clearly labeled with its name. The two checkout lines were self scan with a big monitor but one employee standing by. read more

Bo complaints with the store really. But they clesrly have employee issues. The self service checkout is a joke. They'll have two or three employees standing upfront playing on their phone. I'm not sure what you're supposed to be doing, but I'm sure that's not it. They were put returns back on the shelf. I won't purchase any item that's been opened and resealed. More likely than not, parts are missing or it doesn't work at all. As a pro customer, I don't have the time to purchase something that should've been checked. They clearly need to do a better job with their employees and the kind of customer service they provide. If you know what you want, that's great. read more

The worst customer service. I waited for twenty minutes after asking the employee if he could page someone to assist me, but he never did. I ask another employee as I make my way around the store. The audacity to advise me to seek assistance from customer service. I went to see another employee because he was too busy with his personal cell and is not is department. I spent a total of 45 minutes, which included an additional 15 minutes waiting to talk to a manager. these employees need to go back to 101 customer service. if I could give a zero, I would. read more

This is really a two-fold rating. I give 1 star to the young guy who didn't even realize the home depot phone in his pocket was a tool to find products in the store. I needed mounting squares, no clue how to even spell the name to put in the gadget. Nor did he have any interest in learning the basics. Then while checking out Brandon asked if I found everything ok of which I said no. So we went looking for the mounting squares and we found a brand I didn't really want but it was all they had. Worst customer service I have ever experienced. I knew this store had a horrible reputation but ventured in anyway thinking maybe it would be different. I was right! It was even worse than the last time I was here. Save yourself some aggravation and go to Lowes down the street I asked a young lady that was holding one of Home Depot's mobile devices to help me locate an item in cleaning. She just stared at the device and told me she couldn't remember her password and that no one would help her. Okaaay? I tracked down another employee who just shrugged his shoulders. I asked if he could find someone who could answer my question. He turned around to talk to 3 other employees I could see in the next aisle. When no one came back, I walked to where these 4 employees were talking. They were standing in a circle arguing about who had to come help me!! A man with a hand pallet was arranging Christmas trees, 2 other people said they were in the garden section and the woman holding one of the HD devices didn't speak a word of English. Recent visit to Hone Depot, with covid happenings, it was a smooth transaction with the store being busy and all. The employee who assisted my husband was excellent. They were great in explaining how to use propane tank for the new grill we bought. And now that we bought the propane tank, all we need to do is refill it each time it's done. So glad we were able to do this since grilling is our new food option with in dining at home. (Quarantine life). Also my husband had to get a specific battery for a alarm system. The employees once again showed him exactly where everything was. Yes they are busy, but if you wait a few minutes, they assist. Overall the trip was within 45 minutes in the store and worth getting the items we came looking for. ~ read more

I came here to look at lamps. I was interested in a few of them but not one person showed up to assist me. A nice cashier paged someone two times but still I was left standing and waiting for fifteen minutes. They have a good selection of just about everything but without help I was unable to buy anything. It's a shame because the prices are reasonable and I liked quite a few of the lamps. Everything happens for a reason because I did wind up buying new lamps that I really love. Unfortunately, I purchased them at another store. Two stars because they have a great lighting department with so many interesting lamps and fixtures, but what good is that when you can't get anyone to help you. I've got a love hate relationship with Home Depot. Love it cause they have everything you need. That rates a 5 star review. Hate it because sometimes you need help finding a specific item and then you're at the mercy of finding an associate who can direct you. And if you have questions and need specific guidance, again, it's dependent on finding someone with subject matter expertise. Sometimes they are there, sometimes not. On this visit I was prepared to buy a washer, dryer, and dishwasher. After lots of questions and what I thought was reliable counsel and information, I get home and double check specifications for the washer and it won't fit. I was really upset. I returned the next day, ready to select another unit, and the sales associate who helped the day before was off. No one was available to assist other than an inexperienced associate who clearly was at a loss. When I asked to see someone with more knowledge I was abruptly told - by the person who had that knowledge - that he would be busy for another 2 hours. So, after all the hassle, I cancelled the entire order for a full refund. I did that at customer service and was helped by an understanding associate, who juggled phones, colleagues and my cancellation at the same time. And that's Home Depot for you. You let the app know you're there, wait 15 minutes, then call to wait on hold another 10 minutes, and ultimately wait over 40 minutes for your items after customer service always asks you to come in.. defeating the purpose of curbside pickup! This scenario has happened at least ten times. Average wait time is 40 minutes realistically. read more

Employees Give your Store a Good Name! I think this needs to be posted on the walls of every business worldwide! We came by earlier as we had a problem trying to match a cement stain for our patio and driveway with the previous color we had. Having bought 10 gallons of paint already we had no clue as to what the process was to change the color and save us another $ 230+ which we had already spent. We came earlier in the day and the young man either did not understand our predicament or chose not to be of much assistance advising us to call Behr paint Company on Monday and have them send us some samples to work with and reschedule my painters lol!! We left and went home and on rethinking about what just happened I realized the advice we just received was nothing but "Bull Feces" to put it politely. I returned to the store an hour later and was very fortunate to have an extremely nice gentleman ALEJANDRO assist us. He took the time to explain that every stain was a white base and they mix in the desired colors in the store and he could do it for us as long as the paint would be of a darker shade. I went back home and returned to HD (for the 3rd time) with the 10 gallons of paint. ALEJANDRO assisted us once again and he was AMAZING! Not only did he give us a perfect match to the color we wanted but he was POLITE, COMPETENT and an absolute PROFESSIONAL. If not for him I would have been out of pocket another $ 250 or so. MANAGEMENT NEEDS TO PROMOTE FOLKS LIKE ALAJANDRO OR CLONE THEM!! HOME DEPOT IS EXTREMELY FORTUNATE YO HAVE AN EMPLOYEE LIKE ALEJANDRO as he was solely responsible for making this from a 1 Star to a 4 Star experience (it would have been 5 Stars if we got him initially!) I went on Sunday morning to buy mulch and some Zep floor cleaner. I used the Home Depot app to verify the availability and location of the cleaner, there is none on the shelf even though it said, there are 35 in stock. I went looking for personnel, and there was no one that could be found. Another gentleman was waiting for an associate that had been called five minutes before for the plumbing. I finally found somebody back in electrical. They said they'd call somebody but I never heard it on the PA and nobody ever came. Another woman associate walked by in a hurry and wouldn't stop or make eye contact. BTW, no one had come to Plumbing either. I went to customer service and waited for five minutes just to talk to somebody and all she did was tell me where it was supposed to be located. She said she'd call somebody to help and nobody ever came. I gave up on the floor cleaner and went out to Landscaping to buy my mulch. I complained to the cashier Rene that there was nobody to help me, and that she was in fact, the most helpful person in the store. She promised to find help for me, so she recommended I speak to a guy name Nick in Landscaping. Nick is an older gentleman who is working hard back there, and when I walked up to him, he offered to help me. He walked all the way back into the store, aisle 43 to check it out. We found an open box up on the top shelf. He got a ladder and pulled it down and gave me the cleaner. It wasn't for Nick and Rene. I would've never gotten it in the 40 minutes I waited. This rating is for the store. If I can give a separate rating for Rene and Nick, I'd give them five stars but the store's customer service is pathetic. read more

I canceled my card Home Depot and paid off my shop at Lowe's, which is the best chain in the country. is very professional with me and they have my orders ready for me, but this Home Depot I've ordered a lot and they didn't have the windows. I looked in the window section they were there. I had to carry them to the front myself. I have a bad back. I'm a contractor general contractor and I do over $1 million a year in profit this job I couldn't do windows the Home Depot employees couldn't find them. I came back 30 minutes later I looked in the window section. I found what I was looking for this is one of the worst Home Depot's. I've ever been life. a contractor and that's my experience in this Home Depot just like every other one in the area and in the country, I've been to 40 different states to do different things for clients. I have over 700 clients customers that depend on me to do the right thing for them and not charge them higher prices unfortunately with the Home Depot, I've had to do that with I've never had to raise the price in my life The Home Depot treats me inappropriately all of them and they treat their customers I've seen terribly and I'm one of the I'm from treat me like garbage. Home Depot is a great place for hardware. tools and accessory parts. The best part is their customer service. They have a person assigned to each department to help you with your search. It's so helpful for me. I go in with the item that needs replacing and still don't know if I'm buying the correct replacement. That's where the employee assigned to the area comes in handy. I had a fluorescent bulb that is a little rare. I thought I could find the replacement bulb, but I was wrong. The Home Depot employee found the new bulb in seconds, got rid of my burned out one and had me on my way. Home Depot also has a great selection of tools, manual and power. They also have a wide variety of A/C filters, garden supplies, light fixtures, hoses, sprinkler heads and parts, plumbing parts, electrical, building materials, etc.--just about anything you need to solve your home repair problem. They also sell refrigerators, washers and dryers, and dishwashers. We are lucky to have many, many Home Depots in the area. There is sure to be one close to your home. I went to buy a generator today during the hurricane preparedness tax free holiday in Florida (5/28/21-6/6/21) when I got home I noticed they changed tax, so I took the receipt back to get a refund for the tax amount. They refused to give me the tax back, said they knew nothing about the tax free holiday. I went back home, put the generator in my car and drove it back to return it. I then drove to Lowe's and bought a comparable generator for the same price and didn't even have to mention that I shouldn't pay taxes on the purchase. I'm pretty sure the tax free holidays are not optional for stores and the time, headache and effort put into this cost even more than the taxes they never should've charged. BEWARE! read more

I can't give it more than that because I really don't like these type of stores... The only times I've been here is to look for a specific thing my dad has seen on TV or catalog and wants as a gift but, this has happened maybe 2 or 3 times so, as you can imagine, I am not familiar with the store at all. The other day, early morning, I had to go find "something" for a prototype we're doing at work. Nothing specific, just looking for options to solve the problem we were having and help us finalize the project. Not knowing where to start, instead of going isle by isle, I was very thankful when Lulu greeted me and helped me identify where exactly I could find what I needed. She walked with me asking questions and trying to find other items that might help. At the end I only found one item but, back at the office, it was exactly what we needed. Lulu showed great customer service, she didn't walk away until I was done looking, even escorted me to a cash register without a line and wished me good luck with my project. Again, hardware stores are not my favorite places to go to but, when you have an experience like this one it's not bad at all. read more

This evening I had visited my local Boca Home Depot, where the assortments is amazing if you can find the item. I had spent over 45 minutes looking for an item that I needed. Of course who wants to spend 45 minutes looking for one single item in ends boxed filled isles that your unable to navigate through with a cart. I approached many boca home depot associates but unfortunately they were all over night stock associates. As I'm going from Isle to isle, suddenly I heard an announcement, warning customers that home depot is closed and to bring your purchases to the front because they're closing registers. About a moment had passed, when I ran into an associate. I had Inquired about the item, he wasn't able to give me a definite location and was unsure if they even sold this item! (yet their website says differently). He did Include that they would like to go home and instructed me to check out at once! Seriously do you think I want to be here wasting my time on an item I can't find? So as I'm checking out there's an associate by the exit door on a walkie talky asking if there's any more customers in the building. Her apron stated her name was Keith but I'm doubtful it was. I was observing during checkout on how miserable the other Home Depot associates on the registers were acting. So I concluded that most likely this associate was the store manager or an assistant store manager. So I decided to approach before exiting. Before finishing my question, she had stated that I can find the location of the item on the home depot app. ( it wasn't in the location that the app stated it was in the first place 45 min prior) I had explained that I've been searching for 45 minutes and couldn't find anyone knowledgeable on the whereabouts of this item. She stated that for the past 45 minutes she doesn't have any sales associates on the selling floor. She then stated I should give her a call tomorrow and she'll help me but yet she didn't furnish me with either her name, phone number nor any information to make that statement a reality. So apparently as a consumer my needs are unimportant and my time Isn't valuable. So why am I spending money at a store that doesn't value my business? read more
