We delivered the check and I received a text informing me they were just placing the order (June 29th, 5 days before July 4th). When I told them what Steve told me, they apologized for his miscommunication and said they cannot do that... but they were happy to get full payment. The worst part about their policies, and banks will confirm, a Homeowner's Association has basic, guaranteed funds as the Florida statute requires owners to pay their assessments... we receive some of the best bank loans, if ever needed... The salesman showed me something I could buy right off the floor, which was exactly what I wanted. He told me the price and I said no problem. He apologized for not being able to take any money off the grill because it was a floor model with a few dings. I said it was fine and frankly I never asked for any money off. He then went on to offer a few hundred dollars off delivery which I thanked him for. We then went to write up the order. That's when things got really shady. He told me he had to charge me more for the grill than the price that was hanging on the grill because the price he gave me was 2021 prices and their 2022 prices were taking effect. I said - "we already agreed on a price. That's not cool." He squirmed in his seat wondering how to make what he just tried to do ok. He then said, "okay - I will honor the price I gave you but I can't take any money off delivery." So in essence, he was going to bone me one way or another. This is where I take some responsibility. At that point I should have laughed in his face, walked out of their store and drove straight to their competition, but I just wanted the grill. So at this point he tries to pull off the old "ok ... let me get my manager to approve this" bit. The manager comes in, agrees to the price they quoted me and everything is ok. I'm feeling a bit uncomfortable at this point and want to talk to my wife about the $15,000 purchase I was about to make so I tell them I will get back to them a little later. I discussed it with my wife and we decided we just liked the grill and we were still going to buy it despite who we had to buy it from. So I call these hooligans up again and asked what they needed me to put down for them to deliver the grill and then I would pay the balance once they delivered it. Apparently they deliver on Saturdays and Tuesdays. I had hoped they would say 50% but they said 75%. I said 75% is fine but they had to deliver it the following Tuesday. They then said they wouldn't deliver it Tuesday without 100% deposit. At that point I congratulated them on losing my business and hung up the phone. Yes, a few days later they tried to call me back and smooth things over and make the sale - saying that it was all a big mix up and they would happily deliver Tuesday with a 75% deposit but at that point I wanted nothing to do with this company. I'm just putting this out there for people who had similar experiences or who don't want to have similar experiences. If I were you, I would stay as far away from this business as you possibly can. They're dishonest and oddly arrogant about it.

For some reason, the representatives never informed us that the model we were getting to replace our 20-year-old dishwasher was actually a worse model with a less effective screen and absolutely no smart home connectivity in 2025. For an $1,800 dishwasher, that's incredibly disappointing. Now I've got a new dishwasher that's less intelligent and less useful than my old one, and I'm confused that nobody at Ferguson thought to mention that for only $100 more, we could get a much better solution. I expected better advice from them, so this experience has been very disappointing.
