They say that you can't get good service on the salesfloor at Home Depot, but this location seems like it's the exception to that rule? I've walked through the store several times and had just the right amount of employees ask me for help -- not like at the Lowe's in the area, where everyone in a red vest crawls all over you the minute you walk in the door. Friendly, but obnoxious. It's clean. It's organized. The physical location is convenient when I have to do other shopping. I usually only need to pick up small things here and there (a switchplate, a plant hook, some silicon spray), so I can't say anything about how their service would be if I had a large project. Where to begin. I had a custom order for a countertop that was to be filled through Shell Fab; Home Depot's contractor. They missed deadines to contact me about measurements, missed deadlines to call with install date and withheld information in an attempt to add costs to my project. I had asked at the measuring about two pieces of wood that stick out from my walls, I was going to cut them out myself so the countertop could slide under these features (cosmetic only) The measurement rep said not to worry and the installers would take care of that. He failed to mention that they would notch out the countertop, not just cut back the wood and charge me $300 to do it. Shell Fab clearly withheld this information to increase the cost. Then they wanted to delay my project further and charge me an additional $50 to "re-measure" and delay my project another week or two. Home Depot refused to intervene in the matter and I had no recourse but to cancel my order and start over. So I am already 3 weeks without a workable countertop and back to square one. They also kept $100 of my money for their inaccurate measurement attempt. Their prices seem too good to be true. But after these costs were added on I can get better options from a specialty store. read more

I purchased a dishwasher with delivery scheduled August 11. The dishwasher arrived damaged and the delivery people returned it to the store with apologies and promised to bring a replacement. Several calls and emails from me later, delivery was scheduled for August 25. The delivery man removed the labels from our circuit breakers, determined he wouldn't install the dishwasher and left the premises with promise s to return, call, make arrangements etc. If course, we heard nothing. I now stand at customer service trying to get a refund - I have nearly an hour standing time so far, and, you guessed it - no dishwasher, work to do on my circuit breakers, and no refund yet. i feel awkward reviewing the home depot, but i visit this store just about every day, sometimes twice a day. they got the shit you need to get the jobs done and all but their lumber blows, and i prefer sherman williams paints. other than that, always good help in plumbing and electrical departments and Jodi and Anne in the pro check out are always so nice and pleasant. read more

If I could, I would award this location 0 stars. I don't even know where to begin. Low stock, poor customer service, lazy employees... I've never had a good experience here but today was the ABSOLUTE worst!! Besides the fact that it took over 30 minutes for someone to finally come and help me the person that helped was just so unpleasant that it was unbearable to continue conversing with them. The man obviously didn't want to help me for whatever reason and made up excuse after excuse for why I should not have my plumbing pipe cut offering that I special order them pre cut. I think, during that conversation my pipe could have been cut, threaded, and purchased. I'm angry now because I wasted valuable time and left with NOTHING but a headache. I think I'll spend the extra 10 minutes going to the Niagara Falls location or to a lowes instead of dealing with this foolishness. Choose your Home Depot widely!!! read more

Clean store, helpful staff, good sales (and they match other places' sales on many items), regular 6 and 12 month interest free on your store card (bought my fridge and washer this way and paid zero interest), decent selection. I usually try to avoid big box stores if I can get the items at a local business and I am a bit ashamed of how much I shop here considering their are local alternatives (though not many, and they largely have very narrow selection), but frankly it is very convenient and I have always had good experiences here with service, product and even plants. Sometimes when you are just starting out with your first home and penny pinching you can't afford local shops, which tend to be a lot more money as they can't buy the bulk of product but as I get more established I am making the effort to shop local more often. I personally find the people here much easier to deal with than Lowe's, it is WAY more conveniently located for Black Rock, Riverside and North Buffalo, and the prices are usually better on what I am looking for (mind you I'm not a contractor or anything, so I don't know what they would have to say for buying in bulk, housing materials, etc). read more

I said Sir these items they we just returned their damaged you're not gonna put them back on the shelf are you you said" yes I was told to" I said no we just return them they're damaged he said" I did not know that thank you for telling me "and show him what happened I showed him why and explain that the lady in front was very rude and he said "yes that's how she is and he was like what I have to deal with it because it's my job." I didn't see her name I tried. It she was a lady with glasses unkept pony tail rude loud disposition when she talked, on the husky side, didn't greet anyone, ask" hi how can I hope u, what can I do for you, Yess I can help you with that right away sir or mam", iI been working In Customer Service and she did not make me feel welcome at All. She was at the return Station near the floral side. I will never ever ever go their again with my bf we have decides to go to lowes unless I hope some sorta action is done. After seeing her attitude, and seeing that she made that gentalman employee put back those items he didnt know that we're Un sellable... We were like vip customers that go almost a few times a week bc my Boyfriend is a home roofing contractor, Im Pretty sure sure they will be doing busy else where I am sorry .
