This Home Depot is not as organized as some others. Unfortunately, this is the closest one to my house and being a new homeowner, I have made frequent trips to this branch during the past couple of months. My most important complaint is that some of the categories do not make sense which makes you wander around for a while before you find what you need. For example, Plumbing is not a subcategory of faucets! Rather, faucets is a subcategory of plumbing, so why did they categorize the whole section as "Faucets"? Another example? Rodent xcluder fill fabric. If you ever manage to find anything of the sort, kudos to you! One of the sales people and I went isle after isle looking for it. For some reason, every body had a different opinion as to where it should be. Everybody agreed that they have it, no one including the computer were able to locate it. Prices are usually fair. Nevertheless, shopping here is one of the least pleasant activities I have to endure. read more

It's a Home Depot, much like all of the others regarding stock and service. This one is exceptional regarding the parking lot. It's like walking through a third-world ghetto. Dirty, congested and with large numbers of job-seekers loitering. One person living in a camper! Even as a man who can defend himself, I avoid this one unless absolutely necessary. I had a very disappointing experience at Home Depot Store #0612 while trying to resolve an issue with a delivery order. The associate who initially helped me was polite, but ultimately unable to resolve the issue without charging me additional money for what appears to be an error not caused by me. A manager was then called, and unfortunately, the interaction went downhill from there. The manager did not review my order or attempt to provide a solution. Instead, she focused on redirecting me to another store location, which did not resolve anything and resulted in wasted time. What concerned me most, however, was that during this interaction, the manager used her personal phone to take a photo of my personal information directly from the screen without my consent or any explanation. This raises serious concerns about how customer information is handled and protected. I have escalated this matter to corporate and am awaiting a response. I hope Home Depot addresses both the customer service issue and the handling of personal data, as this experience was far below expectations. Once again the gentleman that helped me was very professional and ended up resolving the issue that the manager didn't attempt to resolve. read more

He was professional, patient, understanding and made sure everything we ordered was correct. He assisted us with the Home Depot Application and made great recommendations. He then walked with us to the front of the store while we exited. Omar went above and beyond my expectations. Also, Anthony who works in hardware assisted Omar and he was delightful as usual. I have been here a few times and I've had pleasant experiences so far. Today, I had a helpful gentleman (sorry I forgot his name) in the lightbulb section helping me look for a particular halogen lightbulb. He was patient and tried to search online for inventory as well. We got the lightbulbs he recommended and they work so well for my floor lamp! Plus, I love the bundle deals. Needed to replace a toilet and I found a one piece toilet I liked. It happened to be on sale and so I got it shipped to this location. I tried to get it price matched at Ace Hardware because it was closer but they won't match anything on sale so off to Home Depot I go. I decided to do curb side pick up. It was a breeze. Told the rep to take it out of the packaging to fit in my car. They were really nice and helpful. Someone also offered to install it for me while I was getting ready to leave. Their price was really cheap and tempting but I had already scheduled an installation appointment so I had to pass. Overall a great shopping experience. Curbside pick up is the way to go. read more

I went to this Home Depot today hoping to fix a broken window screen in my home and the tracks on my closet doors. Unfortunately none of those will be fixed today and will be forced to go to their competitor down the street - Lowes. I had approached 3 not 2, but 3 staff members about what I needed and they asked me to wait at the desk as they call a manager or someone to assist me. I sat there 3 separate times for a mere 10 minutes each time without getting the help that i was hoping to get for 30 minutes. Hopefully Lowe's will treat their customers better. So a few frustrating issues at this store today: I went into the Canoga Park Home Depot to do a very simple exchange of a patio table that was missing the hardware packet when I purchased it 2 days ago. I presented my receipt, and customer service rep made me wait an ENTIRE HOUR just for this simple exchange. They kept paging different people on the intercom to come get the table down from a top shelf, but most calls literally went ignored. An hour passed with me just standing there patiently not saying anything, and I finally complained that I've been waiting an excessively long time, I would like to just get a cash refund and leave at this point. Then, get this - IT TURNS OUT THE CUSTOMER SERVICE REP LADY THREW MY RECEIPT IN THE TRASH AFTER SHE TOOK IT FROM ME. I had other items on that receipt and when I asked for it back, I had to wait another amount of time for her to call someone and come unlock the bin where she threw my receipt. Why would you throw a customer's receipt in the trash while she's been waiting next to the refund register for an hour?? Baffling. Management please train your employees better read more

I had the unfortunate experience, I had gone in there for a quick one thing trip , but i couldnt manage to find someone that get the product down for me. I had asked for help to see if she can lead me to whoever was able to help me , she turned around with the most crappy attitude and was like yes? asked her what i needed and she turned around mid conversation to flirt with i'm asssuming are who work for her , i don't know to get into the conversation but where are the priorities? when im a customer asking for help . AVOID. This Home Depot is a scam and will do anything to take unearned money from you. I've ordered 3 items for in-store and curbside pickup on separate occasions. In all instances, the items turned out to be defective and/or had heavy wear-and-tear. Clearly, they are re-boxing previously returned items that are in poor condition, and hoping that the next customer won't put in the effort to return it. Well here am I to say... Please put in the effort to return it! Also - Their "specialist" for home projects is a LIAR, rude, and will make your project way more complicated than it needs to be. I've been coming to this home depot for years. They recently changed their checkout lines and it's now all self checkout. It's an absolutely horrible experience and it takes absolutely forever to get in and out of the store. The opening to the checkout area is also really narrow and small so good luck rolling lumber and large items through without having to tell people to move. Just an utterly horrible experience and just a reminder that corporations only care about record profits rather than a positive customer experience. read more

I mean, nothing's perfect, but on this particular occasion everything was fine and dandy. Aisles were spotless, smiles everywhere, lights were bright. I bought some light bulbs that didn't work in my lamp, but I can hardly blame HD for that. I really like the HDX brand 10-gallon trash bags I get here, which was the main reason for shopping on this glorious day. Even the self-checkout worked without the need for help from the staff. Parking lot spaces are adequate and wide enough. That's about it. read more
