It has been a long time since I have been in this particular store. The other evening, I needed a small bag of organic potting soil and Home Depot saved my day. It is late in the planting season and other places like Walmart had next to 0 inventory. I was greeted by 2 employees as I walked through the door. Once inside, I went immediately to the garden center and was able to quickly and easily find the item that I needed. There was no one in line so I was able to quickly checkout and be on my way. The window consultant in the store, Michael Mendiola, helped me select the perfect doors, was very patient, kind, and personable throughout the process. The installer, Sam, of 360 Construction, was the ultimate professional installing my doors. He worked diligently making sure every aspect was perfect. He is personable. hard working and treated my doors as if they were his own. I so admire someone like him, who showed he truly cared about making things as perfect as possible. It's hit or miss. Did my kitchen, tried adding costs after for known things. When my father in law had his done through them, no permit, bunch of errors with materials and I had to fix a lot. Home services like that via the store are a miss. Appliance guys is great, no pressure, will find a way to save you money if he can. Young people always on their phone at checkout in the garden center after like 5pm. Plant selection is fairly basic, but some occasional gems. On what seems to be the busiest street, ever (Home Depot Dr, lol), you will never stay for a short amount of time and you'll be wandering the aisles forever trying to find something and the reason it will take forever is because no one will help you locate anything. I was in an aisle looking for a specific nail for twenty mins, kept musing out loud "gosh, why can't I find this?" And was passed by no less than 4 associates who never even asked if I needed assistance. I ended up grabbing whatever, going to self check out, and leaving immediately. Will I go again? Sure, it's the closest one to my house. But I won't go out of my way and I'll only go if absolutely necessary. It's Home Depot, so it has the stuff you need, but if you're looking for customer service, I'd look elsewhere. read more

Top notch heartwarming service! I came looking for pots and soil for my venus fly trap and ended up getting more than that! The employee at the gardening section shared her knowledge and experience about planting orchids and that's something I won't get elsewhere. Not to mention I didn't had a cart and she helped me carry some of my pots to get me a cart while she helped me find the soil for the fly trap. During checkout I didn't wanna wait in the gardening line so I went indoors. There were two cashier area open but with 4 people waiting. I decided to go to self checkout instead. One of the staff greeted me and offered to help me scan some of the heavier items from my cart so I wouldn't have to go through the trouble. She made self checkout even more pleasant ! A contractor I had hired to do work around my home was using our water hose and pulled the faucet out of the wall requiring the water to be turned off. Their attempt to repair was also faulty resulting in my family being without water for almost 12 hours. I could no longer wait for the contractor to repair it so I went to Home Depot with the faulty plumbing parts that the contractor had purchased on recommendation from a much smaller hardware chain store. I walked into the Casselberry Home Depot and was greeted immediately upon entering by Anthony H. who looked at the parts in my hand, assessed the issue and walked me back to the plumbing section. Anthony patiently worked through what I needed to accomplish and found me the correct parts. I purchased them, (then happily grabbing a hot dog, chips and a coke for $5.00 at the snack stand outside) went home, successfully made the repairs on my own, turned the water back on and sent the contractor home when they finally showed up. This was excellent customer service from beginning to end and hope to be able to consult with Anthony again in the future !!! read more

There's so much variety in the goods and also tons of associates and we could find help wherever it was needed, unlike the Altamonte store, where I have wandered around in vain, trying to find a store associate to help me out! Everything is also very logically placed and it was super easy to find stuff. If you're like me, you probably have no preference between the HD and Lowe's: depends on which location is the closest, what you need any given week, and whether it is on sale. This HD is the second closest to where I live by a few feet (vs. the Lake Mary), but depending on the other errands/route of travel, this one is often the most convenient location. Nothing great or terrible with this compared to other HDs (or Lowe's). One thing to note is access. If you're going south, even though there's a "natural" turn into the store's parking lot right opposite Plumrosa, DON'T use that route. Instead, pretend like you're going to Publix further north, in the left turn lane just past/at Publix; after entering the parking lot, turn right before you hit the main mall to get to HD. The light at Plumrosa takes a decade to change (during rush hours, TWO decades). By taking the route I described, you've avoided that light and you're not doubling back either; parking is easier on the north side of the lot, since lots of shoppers enter through that south entrance that I advised you to avoid. I have been to this store twice this month and I have to say even if it is well organized, the customer service is very bad. I walked in looking for Command strips ( i think that's what they are called) to hang pictures and didn't know where to look so i asked for help. Unfortunately the person i asked help to had no customer service skills. He told me he didn't know where to find the Command strips and that I should ask someone else. He never offered to help or tried to find out where the strips were located. I will be shopping going forward at Lowes as I have never had a bad experience there. read more

On March 29 at approximately 2:30 pm my wife and I were shopping The Home Depot in Casselberry, FL. As we were in the paint department looking at the shopping cart of oops! paints I noticed your employee Jeffery watching us and as he proceeded to leave the paint mixer area where we were and pass by us, I noticed he was not going to speak so I said, "Hi, how are you ?" only then did he respond with "Hello." He proceeded down the aisle and greeted a Caucasian customer and asked if she needed any help. After we picked out an oops paint and decided we would like the color darker, I carried the can down the aisle and approached Jeffrey to ask him to darken the color. To which he responded in a very rude, loud and abrupt manner, "Absolutely not. The oops! paints can't be altered."Then he turned around. I said thanks and walked away. The whole time he spoke to me he had an irritated manner and did not make eye contact. As my wife witnessed the whole incident and was shocked, she went to seek out management. I wanted to address the manner in which he spoke, so I sought out Jeff once more and headed back down the aisle. As I approached him I said, "Excuse me Jeffrey, I did not appreciate you being rude and abrupt when you spoke to me regarding the paint." To which he answered again in the same hostile attitude as before..."I was not rude or abrupt." Basically doubling down on his previous stance. As we got Assistant Manager Matt involved he spoke to Jeffrey and apparently Jeffrey continued to refuse to deal with us or help us with the paint. So Matt himself had to assist us. For Matt (Assistant Manager) to be willing to alter the oops paint even though he even admittedly didn't know what he was doing makes me think Jeffrey REFUSED to service us and that would be insubordination. Grounds for terminating. We've shopped Home Depot for years ! What has happened ? Home Depot was once synonymous with customer service, but has become just another hardware store. In this day and age customer service is a rarity. I hope management will check in on Jeffrey and see if he appreciates serving his customers (of all races). Jeffrey is not doing The Home Depot any favors by wearing that orange apron ! As a shareholder, I am repulsed and appalled with my current experience at The Home Depot. I hope Jeffrey's ignorance and lack of professionalism is addressed. Shameful!! read more

I called but got no answer in the department trying to confirm someone was in the windows dept to do a special order. I finally went in about 11:15 on Sunday with my old window screen to have Home Depot measure it and order a new one. The last time we did this it was effortless and we were in and out in maybe 15 minutes. Today the one male associate working that department was from lumber and didn't know anything in the area really. The woman associate was on the phone and was still on several minutes before she got off to help the gentleman associate asking for her help. She tried several times to get me to do it myself despite my repeated decline. They also asked 3 times if I could come back later which I answered each time that was not possible. I had company coming. Then another male associate rounded the corner who also shrugged me off saying he didn't know either. They were completely unapologetic over the situation. I complained to customer service because I was thoroughly annoyed. They apologized but I left with the situation unresolved. The only reason they got two stars is they had the 3 other items I went for in stock. Very disappointing for a Home Depot. read more

I wanted a vellex tube light. Simple. Shown on the website, but without any information... here's a 10" ... here's a 12" ... which do you need? Guess. How to install? Guess. Why is this one $200 and this one $300? Guess. Drove to the store. No one at the store knew what they were, only that they don't sell them. I said they were on the website... they said... oh. Online purchase only. I asked, since there is ZERO information on the website (including the fact that they are only available on line and NOT in store) maybe there was someone who could give me some information? They made me do three laps of the store, looking for various employees, all of whom said "I dunno". I will gouge my eye out with a salad fork before I buy anything from that ridiculous store. At least at Lowe's you usually get at least a teensy bit of customer service. read more

4 stars because this store is clean, well stocked, and has a ton of employees asking if I need help. Once in a while we do have to wait in line for a bit, if we feel we need to check out with a person as opposed to self-checkout. Usually, we hit self-checkout and it's easy to use, convenient and fast. Usually everything we look for is in stock, only once did we have to go to multiple HD's in order to get a set of 3 lights. Of note - the online stock indicator doesn't tell you how many of the items are actually on the floor, they may be still in a truck in the back and unpacked, so be mindful if it says they have 1 of something - you might not be able to get it or find it even with help. read more

This is a nice Home Depot-- staff is always super friendly and helpful. Most recent visit I did come in looking for an odd item and had a sku #, so customer service pointed me in the right direction and I had that item quickly and was off to check out other stuff. I was asked by several different staff in other departments if I needed help or was finding what I needed as I was browsing. Selection is always great, usually stocked with sale, feature and regular items. Garden center is always well stocked. The Home Depot Plaza is connected to the Publix Plaza off 17/92, which is nice since traffic is bad on 17/92 at this spot. I usually hit HD and will pick up something quick at Publix. read more

We were extremely disappointed and embarrassed after being denied a military discount that we have received for several years from other Home Depot locations. They would not honor the military ID, and the cashier and the supervisor stated it needed to state a disability before they would honor the discount. It's definitely not about the money, but the principle that my husband has served and deployed, and they would not honor that- even with his ID. We will not be returning to this location due to this as well as the cashier being rude and short with us. read more

So last weekend I was buying around $120 worth of fertilizer and pest products for my lawn. I get to the check out and flashed my military ID to get the %10 off and the lady asked me to pull it out of the ID thing in my wallet. I think everyone knows how annoying that is. So she pulls it out and informs me that it's expired so I can't get the discount. I had her call the store manager and he said the same thing so I told them to keep it. I don't care what your "company policy" is. how are you going to tell a veteran they don't qualify because their obviously legitimate ID is is expired? Home Depot should be ashamed of them selves. I'm a contractor and I have recipes from that store totaling thousand of dollars just this year (with a military discount) but they won't see another red cent from me. LOWES was happy to give me the discount. These places all have the same crap for the same price regardless of the brand name so you would think they would compete on customer service. What's more, They only keep one check out open. I DONT WORK FOR THEM SO WHY ON EARTH WOULD I BAG MY OWN STUFF IN THE SELF CHECK OUT? read more
