Came here to pick up some items ahead of the predicted snow event in the area. I went to the aisle where the product was (via the app) and located it with the quickness. I also picked up additional items that were on sale at a great value (RainX window washer fluid and Scrub Mommy pads!) The line was long, but moved very fast. The associate at the register was pleasant and made checkout a breeze. All in all, given the fact that winter events such as this can create havoc in certain businesses, my experience during this visit was a good one. read more

Not sure why this place has so many bad reviews. Like any giant store like this, it can be slow to get help when busy, but if you know what you need, this is a non-issue. If you do need help, just wait for it and eventually someone will help. Quality of the help has been hit and miss, but today I got a great guy in the paint department who was incredibly helpful. I was trying to find the cheapest thing that would some my problem without breaking the bank, and he helped me find it and answered all my questions. read more

I recently became a first time home owner. When I tell you all that this is a lot....this is A Lot. There is so much to learn about a house, its parts, how it functions, the innerworkings, and who to call. One of the items that I am working on is getting blinds for the entire house. Why are there so many types of blinds? Why, friend? Why? I became really overwhelmed and reached out to blind specialist stores. Unfortunately, their quotes for service, design and installation was thousands of dollars. I kept the quotes and went to Home Depot to get their counsel. I had no idea what I was looking for nor the proper terminologies. What I did know was that the paper blinds in my house had reached it expiration date. Lol. I met Christina. She sat with me at a desk, gave me a tutorial on blinds and walked me through the home depot online process. The online process allows one to customize what they are looking for to the inventory of home depot. Christina patiently inquired about each room of my house that needed blinds, asked me probing questions, and encouraged my decisions. By the end of the meeting, she was able to provide me with a quote. I really appreciate being able to go to my local Home Depot to lessen the anxiety of homeownership. read more

This Home Depot has racist employees. We were waiting in the customer service line to return an item, after waiting for the guest to be served in front of us, another white customer came in and was helped. I was clearly waiting in line, but was skipped. I walked up to the customer service rep and told her that we were next, but she said, we were not tall enough to be seen, as if it was our fault, i objected to be skipped in line in favor of another race. This escalated after we were told we were not going to be helped. The security agent escorted us out without incident; however, the Home Depot employee took great pleasure in watching us being led out by showing a small wave to us and saying "buh bye". This is the worst service from a major US retailer. What a horrible place and horrible employees, i hope they have great misfortune in their futures. read more

I am currently standing in aisle 42 bay eight and have not gotten help. I have called twice and the phone has constantly rang. I have seen four orange apron people, made eye contact with them, and they didn't bother helping me. I'm guessing it's because it's not their department. Do not use the Home Depot! read more

The store has tape on the floor for you to maintain 6 foot distance and to stand outside of areas where employees are standing (registers/key machine etc.) 4 stars as everyone was standing in line for self check out but there was only about 2 self check outs open and 1 person at the customer service desk, so it took quite a while to check out read more

I took about 20 minutes for them to find it and get of the racks and out to the front of the store. I understand there is a Pandemic going on, but why has the great customer service gone Belly Up?? I wanted to take the time to recognize one of Home Depot's employees @ the Catonsville location named Bonnie..(she works in Flooring) I visited this location and it started out as a nightmare. Few lines open but had several employees lingering around chit chatting amongst themselves with a store full of customers looking for assistance.. The employee working the self checkout was doing the best she could managing that area and multitasking by directing walk ups to whatever they needed. However she needed help too. I first waiting countless minutes for someone to show up to have a key made..when he finally arrived and took the key for some mins, he says they don't have anymore keys to cut my key. Wow! Then I find myself waiting again for someone to assist with the vinyl sheet cutting. When assisted I'm told only certain sizes can be cut. Instead of sending me on my way, Bonnie sticks with me and has me follow her to another area to find another option that best suits my needs. She was very patient, kind and carried a soothing smile. That let me know there are STILL some GOOD people out here who take there jobs seriously.. On 9/30/20 I went to purchases a storm door and had to wait over a hour for staff to acknowledge me. I went to the front and asked for a manager the people were not wearing their masks. I ended up leaving the Catonsville location to go to the Randallstown location and was out in less than 15 mins. The Catonsville store manager CiCi promised a $150 store credit, but when I would come to the store she was never there. Ultimatley the credit truned into a $150 gift card......it is currently 12/14 and I still have not received the gift card. Called the coorporate office Iesha and Barbara were so unprofessional they both ended the call when I asked to speak to their supervisor and claim there was not supervisor availible and I would have to wait 72hrs. I have been waiting since Feb to have windows installed. My first install date was April 12. After I made arrangements to be off..even my replacement rearranged her schedule so that I could be off..they call the day before to say the windows didn't come in. I tell them that because if this, i needed a Saturday install because I'm not taking off work and getting a replacement again for nothing. They tell me they will be in May 9th. May 9th comes and goes..I call every day to no avail. Finally they call May 16th tell me if June 11th is good. Well, actually no because my daughters USAF promotion ceremony is June 10 and family and friends were flying in BUT I accepted that date anyway. Well it's June 11 and guest what....NO SHOW!!!!!!!! Be very careful buying appliances here. I bought $5000 worth and the process has been awful. I live in a small rowhome in Baltimore city, so I knew delivery and installation would be a challenge. I asked specific questions about this and two different employees assured me that it would be fine, that all I'd have to do was tell the delivery people what I needed and they would take care of it, that they do this all the time, etc. etc. But when the delivery people came, of course, they couldn't do anything that the store associates had promised. And they also told me - contrary to what the salesperson said - that they would not be able to install the dishwasher and microwave, that this would be handled by a different company who would call me to schedule another day. I had to refuse the entire delivery, which I had scheduled 6 weeks ago. I then called and spoke to a store manager, who did nothing to solve my problem, other than tell the that her employees were wrong, although this was already quite clear. No guarantee of rescheduling on a specific day, no way to ensure that delivery and installation could have the same day, no refund or discount - nothing. "Service Is Not Included With This Purchase" I have been purchasing items at this particular Home Depot for over a decade. ...not necessarily because I like it but, rather it is more convenient. For the most part, service is good. Many of the employees seem diligent and customer oriented but, lately I have not had this type of luck at that store. Yesterday (10/24/18) at 3:05pm, I purchased garden soil from the Garden Center. There were only a few customers in the Center and I was the only customer in line. I purchased my soil as a male employee stood at the exit and watched. A "Home Depot" delivery truck was at the exit as three employees watched a forklift lift a pallor of brick onto the back of the truck. The waoman at the register never asked me if I needed assistance and the man that was standing at the entrance "eased over to the truck" when I made eye contact with him. Now...I don't usually complain because I tend to be an independent lady most of the time. Yesterday my body really was not receptive to the idea of being "independent". My 109 lb. body was too tired to lift three big, moist bags of soil into my car. The thought of not receiving simple assistance after spending my hard earned dollars at this store bothered me beyond words... They looked into my eyes and never offered... Was it because I arrived in my gardening cloths and not heels like I normally do? Whatever the reason, my emotions stimulated adrenaline in my body and I had no problem getting those bags into the car the more I thought about what happened. I was too tired to even speak with a manager. This particular Home Depot has had issues with customer service for quite some time. I guess yesterday was that final straw for me. This is an okay Home Depot - I mean, it's what you expect walking into these warehouse style home goods/hardware store. They keep it clean, and the staff is friendly when you come across them - but that's probably my biggest complaint - it's just really hard to find someone to help you, and even when you do, to get the person who actually knows what you're asking about. I brought a washer machine at home depot the beginning of November when they where on sale, It is a whirlpool. when the machine was delivered the guys did not install it . they just brought in the house and left. my husband had to do there job for something we paid for Every since that we have been having problems with the machine, on the spin cycle it shakes really bad and then walks. I have had the people out twice about this and it is still doing it. the installer came out last week and leveled it. he told me if it does it again go to the store and tell them to replace it. that is a joke. they keep telling me things and it is not happening. Absolutely do not come here if you need any door installations. No one is ever there. Went on a Saturday afternoon and there wasn't anyone in that department to help us. When we asked for a manager she had an attitude but we told her what door we wanted and she set up the order for the contractor to come and measure our door. After our door was measured they never called us to set up our installation. I called a week later and was on the phone for HOURS trying to get a hold of anyone who could help me. I finally had to call corporate and file a complaint. After I filed my complaint then all of a sudden I was getting calls from them asking me to finalize my order. Once the person who works in the door department finally decided to call me, I was on the phone for over an hour because they couldn't figure out how to give me the discounted installation fee. I am a patient person, but Home Depot tested my limits. My boyfriend and I stood in the isle waiting for someone to come to the hot water heater section for several minutes, we were contemplating our options and trying to figure out how installation would work. The customer service person we found paged twice to get us assistance and still no one appeared. We figured OK we can have our debate about what size we need, the tankless option versus the traditional. Finally the associate for the water heater section comes by and tells us he will be right there; he is just finishing up with another customer. OK at least they know we are waiting. We waited another 10 minutes. As he is walking towards us, a man stops him and asks where an item is, the associate smiles our way and then walks off with the other customer. So as I stood in the windows and door section Home Depot on Saturday January 16th at approximately 4 p.m. A gray haired older gentleman came over to sit at the service desk. Now this gentleman was an employee of the Home Depot. I stood totally confused looking at the number of options they offer for garage door openers. Specifically one with smartphone connectivity. Another older gentleman walked over to look at the display of windows and was immediately greeted and asked if he needed any assistance and the whole spiel that you would typically give a customer that you're expecting to purchase something from your store. After helping the gentleman who merely said he was waiting for his wife, the employee then set back down and seem to be annoyed by something on his computer. I turned around and looked at him he then said "alright what can I help you with". My response was "absolutely nothing". As I walked toward the exit I also needed to purchase a doorbell. At this point I'm annoyed and not purchasing anything from this particular Home Depot. Just a price compare I checked out the cost of wireless doorbells. Well to employees were standing at the machine directly beside me with in ars reach never once asking if i needed any assistance. However, a older blond lady was looking at door locks right beside me who arrived after me and was immediately greeted. I'm not sure if it's just this particular day at this particular Home Depot but I am more than dissatisfied with the quality of service that I received here today. I witnessed a number of patriots being greeted but never once was I greeted. REALLY @homedepot.. 1, when I ordered this shed, I requested to have it delivered and paid the delivery fee. It took 3 wks to get here, 2 of which it stayed in your storage facility right here in baltimore. I finally called and chat with someone via your website and they called to check on my delivery status, about an hour later someone from that storage facility called to set up a delivery date. What was the point of me ordering it and having it set up for delivery when I was never told that I would also had to call again to set up a delivery date, I was never informed nor did anyone notify me via email. All they sent me was a tracking number which is how I knew it was here in Baltimore.. My delivery date was set for today Aug 26th, i called earlier this morning and asked them could they deliver it to the back of my house which is where is going to be set up, that guy told me that the delivery person is supposed to call 30 minutes prior to delivery and that's when i will let him know to come around back. No one ever called he just came to the front door knocked on the door and told me he had "curbside delivery".. And he literally meant curbside delivery; he was going to leave it right in the the street near the curb, I talked him into coming around back in at least bringing it inside my gate..he said he would not bring it inside the gate but he will leave it outside my gate.. as you can tell from the picture, it is blocking my driveway and me from leaving in my car...this thing has to weigh a 1000 pounds... why wasn't I informed that you only deliver literally to the curb, what if I was an elderly woman that could not lift this nor had anyone to help..pissed off.. read more
