The "manager" told me they work up to 8pm. False!!! Had the exact problem last December waiting on a dishwasher. I'm doing this update but stand by everything I said in my earlier one. Gotta be honest here, which isn't a necessary qualifier because I am always very honest with my reviews, but the only thing holding me back from 5 stars before was a personnel issue. Let me be clear, it was so much the individuals as it was the lack of staffing, just not enough people on the floor & in the departments, and there were some minor attitude issues but not anymore. In Collierville, like in many areas, there's a Home Depot and Lowe's located close together and I've tried then both. I totally prefer Home Depot for a lot of reasons and that's true for this location as well as the same scenario in my other favorite HD in Foley, AL where they're actually across the street from one another. This store has been the source for my complete kitchen renovation as well as the total renovation of both of my bathrooms. I've bought lots of lawn and landscaping materials and tools, lighting, flooring and more over the years since they first opened. Overall they are one of the best stocked locations of the dozen plus Home Depots that I've shopped.  HERE IS A STORY THAT SAYS 5 STARS: Last week I sat down with Jeff in flooring department, you know where that desk is where you can sit and have a consultation, because I need hardwood & carpet for a couple rooms. Jeff was very professional, knowledgeable and personable, in fact we discovered that his wife & my wife know each other because they work the overnight shift at St. Jude & even did Yoga classes together at the Y. So Jeff gives us several samples, makes sure we make the best choices to get a deep discount on the wood flooring AND get free installation on the carpeting. He scheduled measuring at our home on the following Monday. We got a call from HD central the next day who went over everything from top to bottom and had all the information & choices that we had made in the store & was ready to take my order. However the lady informed me that she could not apply our 15% military discount, which is registered to our accounts, on her system software & said that she would send everything to our local store. First thing the next morning I got a call from Jeff who indeed went through everything again & verified the materials, labor, discounts, etc. & placed the order over the phone. Note: there was a 6 mos./no interest deal that had expired 2 days before but he arranged to make sure our order was made eligible and now we are waiting for the installers to show up on Monday. This is the kind of expertise, professionalism, attention to detail and customer that makes Home Depot my first choice every time. I don't need to wait for the job completion for this review because, as I said, I've had several major projects done on several different dates & every one has gone very smoothly, from start to finish, so expect nothing less now. I was going to update my review because of everything that I wrote above but I was prompted to do it today because of Gavin. He's a young man who asked if he could help me today when I was trying to decide on a hand truck. I really like this foldable Milwaukee model but the price seemed too low. The tag above it said $29 & the description matched but there were others nearby that weren't nearly as nice for more. He scanned the one I wanted and it came up $59, hmmm. He said "this is marked $29 so we will honor the price if you want to buy it". He then offered to walk all the way across the store to the register with me to make sure that it would be handled correctly. That's exactly what happened, and since this very young man had already thanked me for my service he also made sure that I received my 15% military discount, a really good deal. I'm going to send a note to the local manager and to Home Depot corporate commending Gavin because he he's a very impressive young man that deserves it. Bottom line: Collierville's Home Depot is clean, well stocked, well lighted and organized and the people are outstanding. This location checks all the boxes for management and is firing on all cylinders!! read more

So why five stars? Well...because I'm going to compare them to other Home Depot locations around town. This location, Collierville, is spot on. Spot on with having product in stock. Spot with cleanliness. Spot on with organization. Spot on with the employees giving a flip about the customers. From standard fare customers to contractors. I can't say how much I like this location. I drive out of my way to come here rather than even darken the door of the location in Wolfchase/Bartlett. Kudos to management in having a staff that seems to want to come to work! read more

Overall this store is okay. Half the staff is nice the other well they are just there. I know the company is concerned about safety but closing 2 isles for 10 min to move a forklift is excessive. Customers time must not be important. See the picture- my pet peeve! The enclosure for cart return does not give you enough space to open your car door. read more

The Home Depot - Hardware Stores Near Me - Collierville, Tennessee

At time of purchase of major appliance, we opted for Home Depot's installation and paid the extra cost for this. We were promised by the sales clerk that it would be delivered and INSTALLED on 11/30. Well, that was only partly correct. At time of delivery, the driver of the delivery vehicle looked at where the dishwasher was to be installed and then said, nope... we can't do it. He is not a plumber and since we have a copper pipe he is unable to. That is the first issue; the sales clerk should have asked for this information which would have allowed HD to prepare. I then called our Local HD store and spoke with Keith (apparently the acting manager since the store manager had left for the day). Keith informed me that we would be placed on a 24-48 hours wait list with the plumber and hope that the plumber would call us within this time frame. I requested to speak with the store Manager (Christine, I believe) and was told she would be out for the next couple days due to some training and was unable to call me. By the way, this seems to always be the excuse they give when asked to speak to the manager. Apparently, the store manager is also unable to return calls if she is not physically in the store. (I find that strange. ) As of today, I am still not sure when my dishwasher will be installed. In addition to all of this, I rearranged by work schedule to be home on Nov. 30 only to be disappointed by not have the installed completed. read more

Let's review this store today. I like Home Depot it is my favorite store but this particular store in Collierville no-no. I'm not talking about the whole store I'm talking about the customer service. Two ladies over there were really rude with bad temper and rolling eyes all the time. Looks like they don't like their job. Customer service it is a face of the store and if they don't treat you good it will make a customer really angry. But luckily there two other persons which totally different than these two and their names Todd and Marquis (hope I spelled it right) and employees like these are making this store looks good. This is definitely a great Home Depot. The people here are extremely helpful and actually can get things right. We have made big purchases at other Home Depot in the area and twice they showed us that we were getting the extended warranty but never actually put it in the system. Two big items that should have the extended warranty but don't. Here, they even double checked for us. Also, very nice and friendly and willing to chat a bit as well. Nice place. read more

Everyone always go out of their way to hep us when we go here. I think they have very competitive prices and good customer service. The store is organized well and I have no issue finding what I need or someone to find it for me. I find the workers are a bit friendlier here than Lowes. They run great sales too. Excellent location and hours. It is as clean and smells how I expect a hardware store to smell and look. Updating my stars to two because my disappointment in the flooring dept. do not ever pay them to measure your home and install flooring. They grossly over estimate it to price gouge. Not to mention they charge $25 to come out. We ended up going with artisan floors. Their measurements at Home Depot were nearly 600 sq ft over!!! read more

My family has had a few issues with the paint people getting things mixed up, so I had to knock them down a star. But we still come here for all our paint needs, so it's more a frustration than anything else. I rarely need to step in this store and whenever I do I'm always given plenty of help finding what I need and I can get in an out very quickly. read more

I will likely not shop at this location again. We went there because of the truck rental option and everything was good with a purchase we made there. However, it soured quickly when we returned the truck, thinking it was full of gasoline, and counter person Sa'Niece said it was at 15/16th of a tank full, not completely full. I think we were overcharged because of that so-called shortage. Sa'Niece's insistence because of such a small amount of gasoline cost this store a future sale and a poor review, so I hope the few drops of fuel were worth the lost future revenue and bad public relations I'll provide when I talk of my experience there. read more

It's hard to find things here, including someone to help. It's dark in some of the aisles. It smells so strongly of chemicals on top of the rugged hardware store smell. The ladies room, if not all restrooms, should be kept better. read more

If I could give zero stars to this place I would. We made the mistake of using Home Depot to replace the windows in our house. It took them over a year with constant micromanagement from us before the job got done and now they are going to make us pursue legal action to get a fair settlement. We will never set foot in one of their stores again. Do yourself a favor and never use them for anything. read more

I love those Husky tools because of the pricing and durability. This location has it going on no doubt. Maybe open a few more registers with people at them, but I have no problem using the self checkout. Never had a bad experience at any department in this store. Highly recommended. read more

You don't want to shop at this store they sell you a machine of some kind with some label from some Mfg Co. and then refuse to take responsibility for selling it to you and refer you to the Mfg with your claim and they will refer you back to the Home Depot and around and around you go and if it's a faulty washer, refrigerator and etc. they will not take responsibility for anything. If you want satisfaction sue The Home Depot, the Mfg and the Manager in my case Kevin C. the store was afraid to give out his last name but it will be a matter of record for people to read. Also sue the salesman that sold it to you sue anyone connected to the sale of the item you purchased Shop with Lowe's, cleaner and better always the way. read more

If I could give negative stars, I would. We spent well over $10,000 at this store while we began building our new house. Over $6000. of it was for windows. One of the windows was a custom half moon window that we emphasized that we needed the trim to go along with the window. The windows came in delivered in a crate. Homedepot uncrated and delivered them to us on a flat bed trailer where they slid around and the flanges were damaged and windows bowed over pallets. We refused the damaged shipment. When I went to the store to discuss resolution the manager of the store insisted that I take them, and insulted my intelligence by explaining to me (At least 20 times) what a nail flange is. Just for factual reference, I've been in the construction industry for 20 yrs and my partner has been building homes for over 30 yrs. As unhappy customers, we did finally accept the windows. Homedepot did give us a small discount to do so. They then broke 1 of the windows putting them on the shelf. We decided to pick them up ourselves to protect them from further damage. They broke another window loading. As we installed the windows, we found a missing screen (which they are ordering for us.) , a broken glass which homedepot says we broke, so we can reorder for $300.00. We did not break this window but realize we won't win that argument. They said the trim for the half moon window was "snapped" to the window. It was not. They didn't order it with the window as we requested and now say we can order it for 500.00. The windows have a prairie grid in them and they are almost to a window off just enough to be noticeable. There is 1 in particular that really shows up and homedepot will do nothing about this. I would never order another thing from homedepot and given a choice I'll never even buy a product off the shelf at this store. read more

We needed a paint tip. So walked every isle in paint department. No one even said hello.. We found what we needed and of course it was in a locked box. My husband walked over to check out area and asked if we could get some help. Young lady called right away and asked for help. 8 - 10 minutes later a person came to assist i thought... The lock box had tips sticking out of box where someone had pulled the ends so you could reach in.. So my husband explained he needed a tip higher up. When the person said she was going to call security cause we tried to break into box. Which was the farthest thing from the truth. Then our Son replied lets just go somewhere else. The lady told us ,"go ahead!" Then my husband went to grab the tip out of box which she opened while she was going to call security. She snagged it out of his hand and said,"Let me get that!". I immediatly went to cashier and said, "I need a manager Now!". She called management and they wanted to talk with me on the phone. I said no! The Manager needs to come down now. The young lady, said the manager was busy and that the manager would get there as soon as they could... NEVER HAVE I BEEN SO DISRESPECTED!! I WILL CONTINUE TELLING EVERYONE ABOUT HOMEDEPOT!! I WILL NOT STOP!!! People such as that need not to work with community!! I have 10+years of management experience this is a disgrace to good managers!!! read more
