    Greetings to all, this review is for the items that I have purchased and the service that was provided for this location: This location recently went under a parking lot reconfiguration and it's just my opinion, but it is Very Confusing for the average customer to get in and out of the parking lot, now having said this; the previous parking configuration had more spaces available. This configuration is a solid D for me. Over the past years I've purchased numerous items from this location or their Pro store, these items were Not better than the Lowe's down the hill but only just as good. B for me The value for your dollar at this location seems marginal at best, or another name brand that the other store didn't carry.A B for me Overall this location is not bad ; but could always be better.

    This evening I had an unpleasant experience at the Home Depot in Colma. After completing a self-checkout transaction right in front of the clerk stationed there , I made a point to thank him as I finished. To my surprise, he stopped me as I was leaving and asked if I had paid, then demanded to see my receipt. I had purchased 4 items one flexible steel cable and three reflective number stickers all which were in my hand. He looked at my receipt for a few minutes before he said it was ok to go. Let me bring to your attention that there was only one other person in the self checkout line who finished before I even started. This was all just a scene he created since he had clearly watched me scan and pay for my items standing right next to me. I understand the importance of loss prevention, but this felt unnecessary and even disrespectful, especially since my transaction was in plain view. The retail theft issue is not going to be solved targeting honest, paying ,customers. Home Depot needs to ensure their employees are trained to approach customers with courtesy and awareness. Experiences like this leave a bad impression and make loyal customers feel unwelcome. Furthermore, I visited this same Home Depot a few days prior, made a much bigger purchase at the self check out in front of a different clerk. Once again, I turned to the clerk and thanked them and there were no issues. And, yes, the items were visible in my hands as I was exiting.

    I am a stock owner but hate this place. It is where souls go to die or get crushed. Inventory is spotty. Customer service is nil.

    The return policy is sneaky. https://www.homedepot.com/c/Return_Policy did not mention anything like only unused or unopened can be returned for 90 days category. But the store does require that. I purchased a garbage disposal in store by paying the contractor who did the installation using my credit card. Could not return the garbage disposal within 90 days. There are two problems: 1. Day 1 the contractor showed me it was working. But later I found the reset button does not have any effect. But the contractor has not answered my phone any more. He just ran away. 2. I finally managed to find somebody to remove the garbage disposal within 90 days the return deadline. But the store staff said the inside is rusty. So they can not take it. That is definitely a manufacturer problem. How could a stainless steel part get rusty so fast? Now it is about 60 days after purchase only! Moen has 10 years warranty but I was thinking 90 days return so I did not check with Moen. Also you cannot find the rusty thing without taking it off. A garbage disposal is not like other things. I cannot return it without removal. And it is hard to remove. Don't think the store would care. but I just share this sad story. It used to be my go-to store.

    I've previously been through the woes of ordering a large appliance from this location and vowed like many other reviews "never again". Lesson learned and I've had nothing but great experiences for these large purchases from Costco instead of Home Depot. That being said, I do still purchase other/smaller items for DIY projects and industrial strength cleaners from HD, mostly online during the pandemic but we've been in-store a hand full of times mid-Covid. Confession: I'm a kid in a candy store in their garden center. Online live plant deliveries can be hit or miss, depending on the nursery vendor you select planties from. Return Policy on Plants -- Everyday Guarantee: Perennials, trees and shrubs have a 1 year guarantee. In the event that live goods purchased online (including, but not limited to, houseplants, perennials, trees, holiday trees, wreaths and garlands) are received damaged or dead, contact Customer Support at 1-800-430-3376 within 3 days of delivery and they will ship a replacement at no charge. This policy does not apply to cut flowers or floral arrangements.

    I have to honestly say my experience at Home Depot has been no less than a royal mess up. First, I needed a vacuum since I'm remodeling my home so in November I ordered the Ovente 3 stage vacuum. In a separate order in November I ordered extra bags. Got two different emails saying I could pick both so I go to a very crowded Home Depot and wait in a very long pick up line for about 40 minutes only to find out that they lost my order! They said they don't know where it is and said maybe the truck lost it. I spent a hour on the phone with customer service and they said they would order me another one. Then it turns out they didn't order it ( i called in December to track it down and they said they didn't see a new reorder...ridiculous customer service) and so I waited for nothing...so in December for the second time in a row I placed an online order after customer service not doing their job properly and Home Depot losing my first order! Finally got my vacuum but man, they don't even put it in a separate box so it came to me mangled and exposed to the rain. Ridiculous! Honestly, I'll shop at Lowe's next time.

Those plants were infected with aphids which we treated but eventually they died. The staff at checkout was initially OK until I looked at my receipt and again, I saw they misspelled my last name and never bothered to correct it even though I had already alerted them twice before. She acted as if I was bothering her (no one in line) as she filled out another green form to submit to the office staff. A few years back, they mixed up my information with another person with the exact same name and that customer received points for the purchases I had made. If anything, I should be the one annoyed they keep goofing up on customer names and info. Better training needed for front line service and back office staff.

I was bringing in similar plants from the same family from as far off as Ecuador, Hawaii, Washington, Minnesota, and Florida (shipping to Texas). EVERY other supplier had appropriately packaged the plants to keep the roots moist during the shipping process, roots were healthy with green growing tips and healthy branching. The delivery from this supplier was packed bone dry in expanded clay and lava rock with roots in terrible condition, shriveled to the point of loosing their sheathes. After leaving a poor review on their eBay site, Tony attempted to attribute the condition to the season and shipping, which are irrelevant if kept correctly, and unrealistic expectations (shaped by superior competition). They may be worth checking out at the physical shop where you can see product, but I would steer clear of online listings.

There are several blogs that reference the same problem I have. The US Department of Consumer Affairs has 16 pending official cases against this company. All are a matter of public record. I have called this company several times and have left messages all to no avail. Trying to amicably resolve this matter, but it is apparently clear that this company has serious problems.
